    Have anyone successfully run any spring and JPA application in jetty 7? I am getting following exception. This application throws no error in jetty 6.     Hello I've a must to create wcf service with parameter. I'm following this http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/wcf/thread/8f18aed8-8e34-48ea-b8be-6c29ac3b4f41 First this is that I don't know how can I set this custom behavior "MyServiceBehavior" in my Web.config in ASP.NET MVC app that will host it. As far as I know behaviors must be declared in section in wcf.config. How can I add reference there to my behavior class from service assembly? An second thing is that I the following example the create local host, but how I can add headers used in constructor when I use service reference and it will already create instance of web service, right?   • outofmemoryerror when running jar but not when running in netbeans/ apache poi

    I basically have a program that filters records from one excel file to another excel file using the apache poi. My program runs fine when it runs using netbeans. However, upon doing a clean and build and double clicking the .jar file inside the dist folder, it runs for very long( too long!) and gives me the following error( that I got by running the program from command prompt ). Is there any work around for it? I have already increase the heap size to be -Xms1500m inside netbeans before cleaning and building.   • "Upgrade current target for ipad" is grayed out (disabled)?

    I'm trying to create a universal iPhone/iPad app using this method: http://www.enscand.com/roller/enscand/entry/ready_for_ipad which is also described all over the web. My problem is that the "Upgrade current target for iPad" line is grayed out and doesn't appear at all when I right click the target. I'm working on an app that I inherited from someone, and have tried this with an app that I wrote entirely myself (no problems on that one). And yes, I'm sure that I'm selecting the target. Just wondering if anyone has any insight into what checks are being run that would cause this option to be unavailable.

    Consder this trivial example of fork()ing then waiting for a child to die in Perl #!/usr/bin/perl use strict; use warnings; if (fork() == 0) { exit(1); } waitpid(-1,0); print $?; $perl test.pl 256 I suspect the values of are being shifted upwards because when I do exit(2) in the child, the output becomes 512 I can't seem to find this documented in perl's waitpid. Is this a bug on my system or am I doing something wrong? (btw, my OS is solaris 10)

I was not sure about continue the previous question with this matter since they are not the same so here is another question: My app now works fine under Win 7 whether or not I run it "as admin" because of the manifest file. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem." Another thing I would like to add: If I add reference (uses clause) to XPMan the app works fine on WinXP but then it my .manifest file makes no diference under Vista or Win7.

The included ContactBook example shows very little Command handling and the only other example I've found is from an MSDN Magazine article where the concepts are similar but uses a slightly different approach and still lack in any complexity.   • Can I encrypt web.config with a custom protection provider who's assembly is not in the GAC?

    I have written a custom protected configuration provider for my web.config. When I try to encrypt my web.config with it I get the following error from aspnet_iisreg aspnet_regiis.exe -pef appSettings . -prov CustomProvider (This is running in my MSBuild) Could not load file or assembly 'MyCustomProviderNamespace' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified. After checking with the Fusion log, I confirm it is checking both the GAC, and 'C:/WINNT/Microsoft.NET/Framework/v2.0.50727/' (the location of aspnet_iisreg). But it cannot find the provider. I do not want to move my component into the GAC, I want to leave the custom assembly in my ApplicationBase to copy around to various servers without having to pull/push from the GAC. Here is my provider configuration in the web.config. <configProtectedData> <providers> <add name="CustomProvider" type="MyCustomProviderNamespace.MyCustomProviderClass, MyCustomProviderNamespace" /> </providers> </configProtectedData> I want aspnet_iisreg to check my ApplicationBase Bin folder for this assembly.   • WNetAddConnection2 in Windows 7 with Impersonation and no Error Code

    I'm doing some crazy impersonation stuff to get around UAC dialogs in Windows 7 so the user does not have to interact with the UI (I have the admin creds of course). I have a process running as the Administrator and elevated past UAC. The issue that I'm facing is that when I make a call to WNetAddConnection2, within this process, I am not getting a new mapped net drive. The function returns ERROR_SUCCESS but no net drive is visible. We have another method of adding network drives using 'subst' but this, again, returns successful does does not add a net drive. I have tried to use the default user (which is the Administrator because of process's security context) and I have tried using specific user credentials. I can map the drive just fine through Explorer. Of course the same functionality works fine in XP/2003. I haven't got around to testing on Vista because of issues with impersonation that are limiting my ability to spin up the process. Are there unique Windows 7 limits on this function? MSDN does not glean any that I can find. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

  • Clean conflicting class files from Temporary ASP.NET Files

    Class file Conflicts in C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\Temporary ASP.NET Files\ is preventing me from building the solution. Even though I try emptying out the folder, each time Visual Studio starts the build process, it brings in the class file in to the temp folder with the same folder name. If I restart the machine or leave it overnight, project build without error. Is there anyway to tell Visual studio to delete/ignore/clean any lingering class files that could be in the temp folder? Clean solution option in VS doesn't work either. Class file in conflict are from the App_Code folder.

    Hi, I'm programing on C++, I'm using Visual Studio 2008, Windows XP, and I have the following problem: My application, that is a DLL that can be used from Python, loads an external dll, uses the required methods, and then unloads this external Dll. It's working properly, but after more than 1000 cycles the method "LoadLibraryA" returns a NULL reference. The main steps are: HINSTANCE h = NULL; h = LoadLibraryA(dllfile.c_str()); DWORD dw = GetLastError(); The error got is: ERROR_DLL_INIT_FAILED 1114 (0x45A) A dynamic link library (DLL) initialization routine failed. The Dll is unloaded by using the following: FreeLibrary(mDLL); mDLL = NULL; Where mDLL is defined like this: HINSTANCE mDLL; First alternative tried: Just load the Dll only once, and unloaded it when the application ends. This fix the problem but introduces a new one. When the application ends, instead of first executing the DllMain method of my applicaion, wich unloads the external DLL, is executing first the DllMain method of the other Dll. This cause the following error because my application is trying to unload a Dll that was unload by itself previously. "Unhandled exception at 0x04a00d07 (DllName.DLL) in Python.exe: 0xC0000005: Access violation reading location 0x0000006b". Any suggestion will be welcomed. Thanks in advance. Regards.

    SOLVED- Got it! The problem was that since I am creating the DoParsingStuff *parseThisUrl object in the viewDidLoad method, it's scope was only within that method. So after the method finished, the object got deallocated. I changed it to an instance variable instead and now it works. It gives a different error but that it an entirely different issue. Issue was: I have been struggling with trying to integrate the mwfeedparser library in my app for parsing RSS and ATOM feeds.   • SQL query to count and list the different counties per zip code

    I have a sql server 2005 table called ZipCode, which has all the US ZIPs in it. For each entry, it lists the zip, county, city, state, and several other details. Some zipcodes span multiple cities and some even span multiple counties. As a result, some zipcodes appear many times in the table. I am trying to query the table to see which zipcodes go across multiple counties. This is what I have so far: select zipcode, count(zipcode) as total, county, state from zipcode group by zipcode, county, state order by zipcode Of 19248 records in the result set, here are the first several records returned: zipcode total county state 00501 2 SUFFOLK NY 00544 2 SUFFOLK NY 00801 3 SAINT THOMAS VI 00802 3 SAINT THOMAS VI 00803 3 SAINT THOMAS VI 00804 3 SAINT THOMAS VI 00805 1 SAINT THOMAS VI 00820 2 SAINT CROIX VI 00821 1 SAINT CROIX VI 00822 1 SAINT CROIX VI 00823 2 SAINT CROIX VI 00824 2 SAINT CROIX VI In this particular example, each zip with a total of two or more happens to be in the table more than once, and it's because the "cityaliasname" (not shown) or some other column differs. But I just want to know which zips are in there more than once because the county column differs. I searched before posting this and I found many questions about counting records but I could not figure out how to apply them to my problem. Please forgive me if there is already a question whose answer applies to this question.

The thing I do not like is that the StepClause has knowledge of its derived class NamedStepClause. I tried a couple of things to make this sit better with me. I tried to move things out to interfaces but then the problem just moved from the concrete to the interfaces - INamedStepClause still need to derive from IStepClause and IStepClause needs to return INamedStepClause to be able to call Step(). I could also make Step() part of a completely separate type. Then we do not have this problem and we'd have: var workflow = new Workflow().Configure() .Step().Action1() .Step("abc").Action2() .Step().Action2() .Step("def").Action1(); Which is ok but I'd like to make the step-naming optional if possible. I found this other post on SO here which looks interesting and promising. What are your opinions? I'd think the original solution is completely unacceptable or is it? By the way, those action methods will take predicates and functors and I don't think I want to take an additional parameter for naming the step there. The point of it all is, for me, is to only define these action methods in one place and one place only. So the solutions from the referenced link using generics and extension methods seem to be the best approaches so far.

    As part of some build automation of running xUnit.net tests with MSBuild, I'm running into a case where I need to loop over a batch of items. Inside the loop, I need to detect whether an iteration failed, but I want to continue executing regardless. Then after the batched bit, I need to know whether one or more errors have occurred in order to report the outcome to TeamBuild. IOW, in pseudocode: Task Name=RunTests CreateItems ForEach item CallTarget Target=RunTest ContinueOnError=true CombineNUnitResults Report success/failure Task Name=RunTest XUnit item I'm hoping this can be achieved without a custom task (or hacking the xunit.net MSBuild task as Jonne did).
