  • Java Reflection, java.lang.IllegalAccessException Error

    Hi all, My goal is : Third class will read the name of the class as String from console.Upon reading the name of the class, it will automatically and dynamically (!) generate that class and call its writeout method. If that class is not read from input, it will not be initialized. And I am taking java.lang.IllegalAccessException: Class deneme.class3 can not access a member of class java.lang.Object with modifiers "protected" error. And i don't know how i can fix it..   • stuck with enable session state

    hi i have an application wherein i am accessing the Session object in the CommonCode.cs file that resides in the App_Code folder. But when the session object is accessed the application throws me an error: Session state can only be used when enableSessionState is set to true, either in a configuration file or in the Page directive. Please also make sure that System.Web.SessionStateModule or a custom session state module is included in the \\ section in the application configuration.     I have J2ME code, which I want to be able to compile using the J2ME Polish preprocessor or the wtkpreprocessor (antenna). They mostly use the same directives so it usually works, but ... When I want to insert an URL value in the Java code this gives a problem. In Antenna the code would look like this: //#ifdef my.url //# System.out.println("My Url"); //#expand String location = "%my.url%"; //#else System.out.println("Default"); String location = "http://www.some.default.url.com"; //#endif and in J2ME Polish it would look like this: //#ifdef my.url:defined //# System.out.println("My Url"); //#= String location = "${my.url}"; //#else System.out.println("Default"); String location = "http://www.some.default.url.com"; //#endif I want some way in which I can use the preprocessors interchangeably and still be able to set the url in the build.xml, any ideas?

  • How do I read text from a serial port?

    I am trying to read data off of a Windows serial port through Java. I have the javax.comm libraries and am able to get some data but not correct data. When I read the port into a byte array and convert it to text I get a series of characters but no real text string. I have tried to specify the byte array as being both "UTF-8" and "US-ASCII". Does anyone know how to get real text out of this?     I'm trying to use this excellent example to implement dropping virtual files into Windows Explorer. However, I'm stymied by this error. Towards the bottom, inside void System.Runtime.InteropServices.ComTypes.IDataObject.GetData(ref System.Runtime.InteropServices.ComTypes.FORMATETC formatetc, out System.Runtime.InteropServices.ComTypes.STGMEDIUM medium) on the first call to ((System.Runtime.InteropServices.ComTypes.IDataObject)this).GetDataHere(ref formatetc, ref medium); I'm getting back a DV_E_FORMATETC error. As far as I can tell, all the elements of the FORMATETC struct that are being passed in are valid: cfFormat is "Shell IDList Array" (-16141), ptd is 0, dwAspect is DVASPECT_CONTENT, lindex is -1, and tymed is TYMED_HGLOBAL. I'm kind of confused how there'd be a problem anyway, since this was generated by explorer. I know very little about COM interaction, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • Monotouch UITableView image "flashing" while background requests are fetched

    I am in need of some help from you guys. I have a Monotouch UITableView which contains some web images. I have implemented a Task to fetch them asynchronously so the UI is responsive, an even added some animations to fade them in when they are fetched from the web. My problems start when the user scrolls down very fast down the UITableView, so since the cells are resusable, several background tasks are queued for images. When he is at the bottom of the list, he might see the thumbnail displaying an image for another cell, then another, then another, then another, as the tasks are completed and each image replaces the other one. I am in need of some sort of checking whether the currently displayed cell corresponds to the correct image url, but not sure how to do that.   • JQuery - Make my script work?

    Hi, I have written a script. It does work! It's just a bit rubbish. Could someone tell me where I am going wrong. Basically, I have a 5 star rating box. When the mouse hovers over the various parts of the box I need the stars to change. Currently the stars only change when you move your mouse over and out of the element. I need the stars to change while the mouses within the element.     I am building a client server application using Java Sockets (in Windows XP). For that I need different consoles for both Client and Server(for Input and Output operations). But in eclipse both share a single console. Is there any plugin or some sort of cheat through which I can do this.     Okay, what I have so far is: You enter the game, and write "spin" to the console. Program will enter the while loop. In the while loop, if entered int is -1, return to the back (Set console input back to "", and let the user select what game he would like to play). Problem: Instead of going back, and selecting "spin" again, the program exits? Why is it happening?   • Cast errors with IXmlSerializable

    I am trying to use the IXmlSerializable interface to deserialize an Object (I am using it because I need specific control over what gets deserialized and what does not. See my previous question for more information). However, I'm stumped as to the error message I get. Below is the error message I get (I have changed some names for clarity): An unhandled exception of type 'System.InvalidCastException' occurred in App.exe Additional information: Unable to cast object of type 'System.Xml.XmlNode[]' to type 'MyObject'. MyObject has all the correct methods defined for the interface, and regardless of what I put in the method body for ReadXml() I still get this error. It doesn't matter if it has my implementation code or if it's just blank. I did some googling and found an error that looks similar to this involving polymorphic objects that implement IXmlSerializable. However, my class does not inherit from any others (besides Object). I suspected this may be an issue because I never reference XmlNode any other time in my code.     Sometimes, when running a Mono .NET application (it seems to not depend on the input data, as it does not change), I run into following situation: when trying to Dequeue an element from a (non-empty, I check its Count beforehand) Queue, an exception is thrown: Unhandled Exception: System.InvalidOperationException: Operation is not valid due to the current state of the object at System.Collections.Generic.Queue1[DBWorkItem].Peek ()[0x00000] at System.Collections.Generic.Queue1[DBWorkItem].Dequeue () [0x00000] at DBProcessor.process (System.Object q) [0x0006b] in <... Though I can certainly catch this exception, the element is dequeued and lost. Has anyone else encountered this behavior, too?

But if I use SimpleWaitNotify's monitor then the program execution is suspended. In other words, I think it suspends current execution thread and in turn the executor. Any help towards understanding what's going on would be duly appreciated. This is an area1 where the theory and javadoc seem straightforward, and since there aren't many examples, conceptually left a big gap in me.

Tml.Runtime.Seq as s -> s.ToExpression() | _ -> failwith "bad expression" If I omit the type coercions on the return values F# will infer the return type of the function to ConstantExpression. My first thought was to explicitly mark the return type as being : #Expression, but that didn't work. Is there a more elegant way of doing this that doesn't involve manually casting return types to the most generic type? Thanks.
