  • Controling page number shown in printing dialog

    I'm trying to implement printing a range of pages in c# While printing, the .net framework throws up a message box that says "Page # of document". This starts at 1, and counts up to the number of pages printed. If I'm printing pages 10-11, I want that count to start at 10, not 1. Is there a way to set the starting value? The logical thing would be if it started at PrinterSettings.FromPage, but it ignores that value.

    Hi, I have the DataTable with following columns: id, Name, Description, ParentId and would like to create a WPF control (.NET 4.0 framework) which implements a combobox which displays the names which are bound to values of id.     As an ASP.NET developer, I'm used to working with how VS/C# transparently autogens proxy classes for web references (yes, I know, we're spoiled), but now that I'm creating documentation for more than one coding platform I'm trying to discover what the equivelant to that is in any other framework. So is there a similar way to work transparently with web reference proxy classes for say, RoR, PHP, and Python? And if there's nothing integrated, are there tools you recommend to autogen the proxy classes, or do you recommend to roll custom classes?

  • basic javascript DOJO 1.4 installation not working

    I am trying to give the DOJO framework a test spin but some how the latest release does not work at all ( 1.4.2) I keep getting a "console[_8]" [undefined] is not an object error. this is on the demos as well 1.3.3 works fine it seems ( or at least i dont get that error so far) any ideas? I have been using jquery for a while and love it , just looking for something better i guess. does anyone recommend DOJO? thanks

  • Adobe Air: Is it possible to save files to a network path (osx)

    I have the jQuery UI framework's draggable and droppable elements working. I would like to programmatically determine which draggable elements are currently dropped on which droppable elements. Is there an easy way to do this? I thought of using event listeners to detect drop and out events, then keep a dictionary or something in memory to keep track, but this seems contrived. Better ideas?

    Hey guys, I am working on a Natural Language parser which examines a sentence in english and extracts some information like name, date etc. for example: "Lets meet next tuesday at 5 PM at the beach." So the output will be something like : "Lets meet 15/09/2009 at 1700 hr at the beach" So basically, what i want to know is that is there any framework or library available for JAVA to do these kind of operations like parsing dates from a sentence and give a output with some specified format.   • Postsharp installer bug: .Net 2.0 not presented

    There is an issue with PostSharp 1.5 and 2.0 that won't let you install it on the Windows 7 machine with the error message ".NET Framework 2.0 is not present on this computer". To work around the issue you have to run the installer while being logged in with Administrator account. Not Admin group and not "run as Administrator", you have to be logged in with the Administrator account. Hope that helps, if someone has the same issue.
