  • DataContractJsonSerializer generating Ghost string to JSON keys?

    - by Anil Namde
    DataContractJsonSerializer this is nice class added in the .net framework which can be used to serialize/desirealize object into JSON. Now following is the example i am trying [Serializable] class User { public string name; public string userId; } Now following is the output generated Output : Notice structure where only "name" is expected instead of k__BackingField Now this is the problem after digging so much i am not sure from where < and _BackingField is coming ? { "<name>k__BackingField":"test user", "<userId>k__BackingField":100001}

  • Is there any difference between Spring and Spring.net?

    - by Javi
Hello, I've been using Spring with Java and I've seen that there is a version called Spring.NET. I wonder if there is any significant difference between them (apart from that one is for Java and the other is for .NET). Is it just a "language translation" of the framework or are they different project with just a similar purpose? Thanks.

  • Is NAnt in the dead pool?

    - by Andrew Matthews
I know NAnt sees frequent use (well, I always use it for my CI builds) but there has been no new official release since December 2007. Is the project receiving active development any more or is it dead-pooled? It worries me that if I carry on using it, and it stops tracking the latest version of .NET, I'll eventually be left with a massive job when it comes to upgrading systems to a version of the framework that it can't build. Has everyone else gone over to some other tool like MSBuild these days?

  • php menu generated from a db

    - by Duncan Benoit
Hi there, I have a database with products organized by categories and subcategories. The thing is that I generate a menu by querying the categories table. Because categories are almost the same(they can change/add once a month or something), I don't think I have to query the database for each access of the web-page. Do you have a better idea for me? Many thanks! ps: i'm using the cakephp framework

  • How to manage user authentication/sessions?

    - by Dan
What is the best way to manage user authentication/sessions in a web app, ideally in a clustered environment, using Spring Framework/MVC? I thought of creating a login bean that creates a jsession for authenticated users and then using AOP to check for the jsession before each controller method inovcation. If there isn't a better way, what are some possible alternatives? Thanks.

  • 50 million+ Rows of Data - CSV or MySQL

    - by eWizardII
Hello, I have a CSV file which is about 1GB big and contains about 50million rows of data, I am wondering is it better to keep it as a CSV file or store it as some form of a database. I don't know a great deal about MySQL to argue for why I should use it or another database framework over just keeping it as a CSV file. I am basically doing a Breadth-First Search with this dataset, so once I get the initial "seed" set the 50million I use this as the first values in my queue. Thanks,

  • How do I create and read non-global variables that aren't destroyed at end of function?

    - by Paul Reilly
I am attempting to code some plugins to use with MIDI sequencers but have hit a stumbling block. I can't use global-scope variables to store information because multiple instances of the .dll can exist which share memory. How do I create a class (for re-usability purposes in other plugins) containing 2 dimensional array and other variables the content of which is to be shared between functions? If that is possible, how would I read and write the data from the function in the framework where I do the processing?

Example: The encrypted string will be written to a database using a VB6 application, but the value also need to be read an decrypted in a c# .net application using the .net framework if possible. Thanks!
