    - by denja

Is this ever possible? here there are two tries <html> <head> <title>Columns</title> </head> <body> <style type="text/css"> .wrapper {font-size:900px; width:1200px; margin:0 auto; } .col1 { width:600px; height:100%; float:left; background:#f00; } .col2 { width:600px; height:100%; float:left; background:#00f; } </style> <div class="wrapper"> <div class="col1"> C o l u m n 1 </div> <div class="col2"> C ol u m n 2 </div> </div> </body> </html> and <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xml:lang="en-GB"> <head> <title>2 Column CSS Demo - Equal Height Columns with Cross-Browser CSS</title> <style media="screen" type="text/css"> /* <!-- */ *{ margin:0; padding:0; } html { background-color: #ccc; height: 100%; } body { background-color: white; width: 600px; margin: 0 auto; height:100%; position: relative; border-left: 1px solid #888; border-right: 2px solid black; } #footer { clear:both; width:100%; height:0px;font-size:0px; } #container2 { clear:left; float:left; width:600px; overflow:hidden; background:#ffa7a7; } #container1 { float:left; width:600px; position:relative; right:200px; background:#fff689; } #col1 { float:left; width:400px; position:relative; left:200px; overflow:hidden; } #col2 { float:left; width:200px; position:relative; left:200px; overflow:hidden; } /* --> */ </style> </head> <body> <div id="container2"> <div id="container1"> <div id="col1"> aaaa a a a a a a a a a aa aa a a a a a a a a aa aa a a a a a a a a aa aa a a a a a a a aa a a a a aa aa a a a a a a a a aa aa a a a a a a a a aa aa a a a a aa a a a a aa aa a </div> <div id="col2"> fghdfghsfgddn fghdfghsfgddn fghdfghsfgddn fghdfghsfgddn fghdfghsfgddn fghdfghsfgddn fghdfghsfgddn v </div> </div> </div> <div id="footer"> &nbsp; </div> </body>

  • Making an animated taskbar app

    - by CasperT
Hi. I have a HP notebook (running XP). I have seen on IBM computers, that they have a power-meter (it looks like a bar). It displays percentage of power left in battery. It is displayed in the taskbar. Not in the systemtray. Either on the left side or the right side of the potential language toolbar. The application is animated, since the percentage of power (0-100%) chances. It fills up the bar with a green color according to the percentage. So half would be colored green if the power is down to 50%. Now, since it is an IBM application for IBM notebooks, I want/need to make a copy of it. My real question is though, how do I make an animated taskbar application?

  • Change UIImagePicker Navigation Bar style to blue

    - by vodkhang
    All of my view has a blue navigation bar but when I want user to choose a photo, the UIImagePicker is black. I tried to set the navigation bar of UIImagePickerController to blue using UIBarStyleDefault but it does not work for me, the color is still black. I tried with other UIBarStyle like UIBarStyleBlack and UIBarStyleOpaque as well but it doesn't change the navigation bar of the picker anyway. Here is my code // Let the user choose a new photo. UIImagePickerController *imagePicker = [[UIImagePickerController alloc] init]; imagePicker.delegate = self; imagePicker.navigationBar.barStyle = UIBarStyleDefault; [self presentModalViewController:imagePicker animated:YES]; [imagePicker release];

  • How do I create an 8-bit PNG with transparency from an NSBitmapImageRep?

    - by Rob Keniger
I have a 32-bit NSBitmapImageRep which has an alpha channel with essentially 1-bit values (the pixels are either on or off). I want to save this bitmap to an 8-bit PNG file with transparency. If I use the -representationUsingType:properties: method of NSBitmapImageRep and pass in NSPNGFileType, a 32-bit PNG is created, which is not what I want. I know that 8-bit PNGs can be read, they open in Preview with no problems, but is it possible to write this type of PNG file using any built-in Mac OS X APIs? I'm happy to drop down to Core Image or even QuickTime if necessary. A cursory examination of the CGImage docs didn't reveal anything obvious. EDIT: I've started a bounty on this question, if someone can provide working source code that takes a 32-bit NSBitmapImageRep and writes a 256-color PNG with 1-bit transparency, it's yours.

  • Drawing a continuous rectangle

    - by JAYMIN
Hi..i m currently working on visual c++ 2008 express edition.. in my project i have a picturebox which contains an image, now i have to draw a rectangle to enaable the user to select a part of the image.. I have used the "MouseDown" event of the picturebox and the below code to draw a rectangle: Void pictureBox1_MouseDown(System::Object^ sender, Windows::Forms::MouseEventArgs^ e) { Graphics^ g = pictureBox1-CreateGraphics(); Pen^ pen = gcnew Pen(Color::Blue); g-DrawRectangle( pen , e-X ,e-Y,width,ht); } now in the "DrawRectangle" the arguments "width" and "ht" are static, so the above code results in the drawing of a rectangle at the point where the user presses the mouse button on the image in picturebox... i want to allow the user to be able to drag the cursor and draw a rectangle of size that he wishes to.. Plz help me on this.. Thanx..

  • asp.net labels and asp.net textboxes are not lining up correctly?

    My Registration page currently looks like the following: The current styling I have for the above is image is: <style type="text/css"> #contactinfo label { float: left; width: 10em; margin-right: 0.5em; text-align: right; font-size: 14px; } #contactinfo p { padding: 5px; } #contactinfo input[type="text"], input[type="password"] { height: 1.5em; } #contactinfo select { padding: 0.25em; } #contactinfo input[type="text"]:focus, input[type="password"]:focus { background-color: #FFFFE0; } #contactinfo .update { margin-left: 12.5em; } #contactinfo .error { background-color: transparent; } #contactinfo .longtextbox { width: 20em; } #contactinfo .shorttextbox { width: 5em; } </style> and the markup is <div id="contactinfo"> <p> <asp:Label runat="server" AssociatedControlID="txtEmail">Email </asp:Label> <asp:TextBox ID="txtEmail" runat="server" CssClass="longtextbox" /> </p> <p> <asp:Label runat="server" AssociatedControlID="txtFirstName">First Name </asp:Label> <asp:TextBox ID="txtFirstName" runat="server" ValidationGroup="AccountValidation" /> <asp:RequiredFieldValidator runat="server" ControlToValidate="txtFirstName" Text="First Name is required." I want to get city, state, and zip all on the same line, but as soon as I move all the labels and inputs for city,state,zip into one p tag, it looks like the following and I don't know how to fix it.

  • mouseover detection in NSTableView's NSCell?

    - by Wigwam
I am wanting to change the text background color on a tableview's cell when it is hovered upon, similar to how AddressBook "highlights" the label of a contact's element when you mouseover the label names. However I cannot figure out how to accomplish... detecting a mouseover on a particular NSCell and... After detecting the cell his hovered upon, highlighting the text in that cell (not highlighting the entire row as if the user selected that row) As NSCell is not a subclass of NSView this seems to be a very difficult task. Any example of this or explanation on how this might be done would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

  • iPhone animation: how do I animate the filling up of an area?

    - by Sandeep
Consider a circle. Now consider a radius of the circle, drawn from the center of the circle towards the right. Now imagine that the radius is rotating about the center of the circle, sweeping out an area as it rotates. My problem is: I want to use iPhone's animation techniques to fill up the swept out area with a different color from the background area of the circle, as the radius rotates from 0 degrees to any chosen number of degrees about the circle. I've looked through the Core Animation API, KeyFrame Animations, etc. but I am not able to find out how to do this. Any hints will be most welcome. Thanks, Sandeep

  • How to add css to form elements if attribute class is already being used in Jquery

    - by Gublooo
Hey guys This is probably a dumb question - I'm using Jquery to validate the form. So the form elements have the class="required" attribute. input type="text" name="last_name" class="required"/ Now if i want to apply some css properties to the input fields of this form - how do I do that. I do not want to declare a general css for all input elements - I have declared the css as follows: input.form { color: #000; background: #fff; border: 2px solid #E1E1E1; font-size: 16pt; width:150px; } And I want to use it this way input class="form" type="text" name="last_name" class="required"/ But this wont work as there are two class attributes here. So how do I handle this. Thanks

  • ffmpeg video4linux2 at specified resolution

    - by wim
    When I'm trying to record a clip from my webcam, using: ffmpeg -f video4linux2 -s 640x480 -i /dev/video0 /tmp/spam.avi I get annoying problem with very low resolution video, and there is a message from ffmpeg saying: [video4linux2,v4l2 @ 0x2bff3e0] The V4L2 driver changed the video from 800x600 to 176x144 I have tried not specifying -s, or trying other sizes like 800x600, and always it forces me back to 176x144. Why is this and how can I prevent it? My webcam is one of those Logitech 9000 Pro, I know it supports better resolutions than this and I can see with v4l2-ctl --list-formats-ext that it goes up to at least 800x600. edit: complete console output follows wim@wim-desktop:~$ ffmpeg -f video4linux2 -s 640x480 -i /dev/video0 /tmp/spam.avi ffmpeg version git-2012-11-20-70c0f13 Copyright (c) 2000-2012 the FFmpeg developers built on Nov 21 2012 00:09:36 with gcc 4.6 (Ubuntu/Linaro 4.6.3-1ubuntu5) configuration: --enable-gpl --enable-libfaac --enable-libfdk-aac --enable-libmp3lame --enable-libopencore-amrnb --enable-libopencore-amrwb --enable-librtmp --enable-libtheora --enable-libvorbis --enable-libvpx --enable-x11grab --enable-libx264 --enable-nonfree --enable-version3 libavutil 52. 8.100 / 52. 8.100 libavcodec 54. 73.100 / 54. 73.100 libavformat 54. 37.100 / 54. 37.100 libavdevice 54. 3.100 / 54. 3.100 libavfilter 3. 23.101 / 3. 23.101 libswscale 2. 1.102 / 2. 1.102 libswresample 0. 17.100 / 0. 17.100 libpostproc 52. 2.100 / 52. 2.100 [video4linux2,v4l2 @ 0x37a33e0] The V4L2 driver changed the video from 640x480 to 176x144 [video4linux2,v4l2 @ 0x37a33e0] Estimating duration from bitrate, this may be inaccurate Input #0, video4linux2,v4l2, from '/dev/video0': Duration: N/A, start: 37066.740548, bitrate: 6082 kb/s Stream #0:0: Video: rawvideo (YUY2 / 0x32595559), yuyv422, 176x144, 6082 kb/s, 15 tbr, 1000k tbn, 15 tbc File '/tmp/spam.avi' already exists. • Speech.Recognition GrammarBuilder/Choices Tree Structure

    - by user2210179
In playing around with C#'s Speech Recognition, I've stumbled across a road block in the creation of an effective GrammerBuilder with Choices (more specifically, Choices of Choices). IE considering the following logical commands. One solution would to "hard code" every combination of Speech lines and add them to a GrammarBuilder (ie "SET LEFT COLOR RED" and "SET RIGHT CLEAR", however, this would quickly max out the limit of 1024, especially when dealing with number combinations. Another solution would to Append all 'columns' as "Choices" (and filter out incorrect paths upon 'recognition', however this seems like it's processor heavy and unnecessary. The middle ground, seems like the best path - with Choices of Choices - like a tree structure on a GrammarBuilder - however I'm not sure how to proceed. Any suggestions?

  • Add UIView behind UITableView in UITableViewController code

    - by Drew C
I would like to use a fixed image as the background in a simple grouped table view in my iPhone program. Unfortunately, no matter what I do, the background is always solid white. I have followed several supposed solutions on this site and others to no avail. Here is the relavant code in the viewDidLoad method of the table view controller class (note, this code uses a solid blue color rather than an image for simplicity's sake): self.tableView.opaque = NO; self.tableView.backgroundColor = [UIColor clearColor]; UIView *backgroundView = [[UIView alloc] initWithFrame:CGRectMake(0, 0, 320, 480)]; backgroundView.backgroundColor = [UIColor blueColor]; [self.tableView.window addSubview:backgroundView]; [backgroundView release]; I suspect that I am not positioning the backgroundView view in the right place. I have tried sendToBack:, bringToFront:, and others but I always just get a white background. Is it possible to do this from within the UITableViewController? Must I use Interface Builder?

  • Variable alpha blending in pylab

    - by Hooked
How does one control the transparency over a 2D image in pylab? I'd like to give two sets of values (X,Y,Z,T) where X,Y are arrays of positions, Z is the color value, and T is the transparency to a function like imshow but it seems that the function only takes alpha as a scalar. As a concrete example, consider the code below that attempts to display two Gaussians. The closer the value is to zero, the more transparent I'd like the plot to be. from pylab import * side = linspace(-1,1,100) X,Y = meshgrid(side, side) extent = (-1,1,-1,1) Z1 = exp(-((X+.5)**2+Y**2)) Z2 = exp(-((X-.5)**2+(Y+.2)**2)) imshow(Z1, cmap=cm.hsv, alpha=.6, extent=extent) imshow(Z2, cmap=cm.hsv, alpha=.6, extent=extent) show() Note: I am not looking for a plot of Z1+Z2 (that would be trivial) but for a general way to specify the alpha blending across an image.

  • C# MDX RenderToSurface, where to reset after device is lost?

    - by Moritz Schöfl
Hi, I got a problem with the RenderToSurface class. When I resize the Form of my Device, the Draw method is still called, but doesnt throw an Exception, it looks like this: device.Clear(ClearFlags.Target, Color.Red, 0, 0); device.BeginScene(); // here is out commented code device.EndScene(); device.Present(); In another method, I wrote this: renderToSurface.BeginScene(surfaces[currentIndex]); // here is out commented code renderToSurface.EndScene(Filter.None); and this method seems to throw a nullpointer exception when I resize the window; So my question is: - where to reset / restore / handle the renderToSurface class? (i tried it with the DeviceReset event like following - void OnDeviceReset(object sender, EventArgs e) { renderToSurface = new RenderToSurface(Game.Device, Game.ClientSize.Width, Game.ClientSize.Height, Format.A8R8G8B8, true, DepthFormat.D16); } )

  • How to find out Vim's currently mapped commandos

    - by Boldewyn
I'm using Vim under Debian, Win Vista and WinXP (the latter two with Cygwin). To handle tabs more easily, I mapped <C-Left> and <C-Right> to :tab(prev|next). This mapping works like a charm on the Debian machine. On the Windows machines, however, pressing <C-Left> deletes 5 lines, as far as I can tell, and meddles with cursor position, while <C-Right> does this, too, and additionally enters Insert mode. Question: To put it in a nutshell, how can I find out, why Vim behaves as it does? Is there a way to backtrace the active commands and keystrokes? Could there be a plugin the culprit? (I didn't install one, perhaps a default include by the Cygwin distro...) If so, how can I find it? Additional Diagnosis: This behaviour occurs regardless of any existing ~/.vimrc file (is therefore not related to my above mentioned mapings) and is not inherited of some /etc/vim/vimrc, since this doesn't exist in the default Cygwin installation. :verbose map doesn't yield any new insights. Either nothing or my mentioned mappings appear, based on the existence of the .vimrc file :help <C-Left> suggests, that the default would be a simple cursor movement, which is apparently not the case. • Selecting multiple columns and rows for formatting - Excel

    - by Joyce
I have a report which I used the command subtotals. Aesthetically, I just want to make these subtotal rows (columns A to P) filled with color, be in Bold and have a surrounding border. There are hundreds of totals generated in my report. And they do not have a recurring row position. So basically in order for it to look good, I do it manually per row. Is there a faster way? Thanks!

  • How to hide the label (CCLabel) after a certain time in cocos2d ?

    - by srikanth rongali
I added a label by using CCLabel to my layer. Now I want it do disappear after some time like (2sec). How can I make it to disappear? CCLabel *labelPerfectDraw = [CCLabel labelWithString:@"Perfect Draw" fontName:@"Marker Felt" fontSize:30 ]; labelPerfectDraw.color = ccc3(0x00, 0x00, 0xff); labelPerfectDraw.position = ccp(windowSize.width/2, windowSize.height/2+80); [self addChild:labelPerfectDraw]; I added label in above way. Please give me the idea how can I work on it?

  • How can I add an Items-like property to my User Control?

    - by Dan Tao
It's pretty straightforward to add simple properties to a User Control that will appear in the desired categories in the Windows Forms designer, e.g.: [Category("Appearance")] public Color BackColor { get { return _textBox.BackColor; } set { _textBox.BackColor = value; } } What if I want to expose a more complex property, such as a collection of items of a type I define? I'm thinking something along the lines of the ListView.Items property, or the DataGridView.Columns property -- where the user of the control can access this complex property via a more specialized pop-up form (as opposed to a simple TextBox or ComboBox). Even a simple nudge in the right direction would be much appreciated.
