  I read the specs on http://api.jquery.com/jQuery.ajax/ and found that depending on the dataType, scripts are automatically evaluated for every response. Is it then possible to force jQuery not to evaluate the script parts of the response?

  My application stores lots of its users friends' phone numbers. I'd like to allow users to associate names with these phone numbers, but I don't want to make users manually type in names (obviously). I'm curious what the best overall approach is here, as well as the best way to implement it Overall approach-wise, I imagine using Gmail / Yahoo / Windows Live contacts is best (the Facebook API doesn't let you access phone numbers), though the gems I've found for interacting with these contacts APIs (this and this) only give you access to the names and email addresses of each contact.

  i have searched for calendar libraries and i have found TimeSquare calender on this site https://github.com/square/android-times-square ive downloaded the file and add made an import for the folder in ecilipse and everithing worked fine then i have exported with gradle and imported in android studio and everything worked fine.THE problem is that i want to use this calender in an app i'm developping so i have added folder library as a module and synced with grade but when i define <com.squareup.timessquare.CalendarPickerView android:id="@+id/calendar_view" android:layout_width="match_parent" android:layout_height="match_parent" /> just in xml and run the app it crashes on setcontentview and i cannot make anything in plus can somebody tell me how to use this library correctly.

• installing NUMPY for Mac OSX 10.7. (Lion) for use with Python

  I Need to use nltk and numpy with Python. I am a newbie to Python and initially used the python 2.7.3 that came with my mac (currently running OSX 10.7.5). I learned that the apple version of python may not be robust so I downloaded the standard version from python.org. I have downloaded the nltk program for Mac OSX 10.7. This seemed to install fine. I am trying to download and install numpy using the instructions from the scipy website. http://www.scipy.org/Installing_SciPy/Mac_OS_X. I cloned numpy from github but when I tried to build it using the following command $ python setup.py build I received the following error MacOS/Python: can't open file 'setup.py': [Errno 2] No such file or directory I also tried to build it using the scons command $ python setupscons.py scons --jobs=2 and received the following error /Library/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions/2.7/Resources/Python.app/Contents/MacOS/Python: can't open file 'setupscons.py': [Errno 2] No such file or directory Can anyone think of a possible workaround?

• Good way to create PDF from Office documents in Java

  I'm looking for a good way to convert Office (mostly Microsoft) documents to PDF in Java. I've been looking at using the OpenOffice SDK but from the samples I've looked at it looks like this requires having OpenOffice running in server mode to do the work. Does anyone know of a good way to do this? Good meaning the less external requirements, the better. A 100% Java API would be best, but I don't expect that actually exists.

Twitter claims it uses FlockDB for the following: Twitter runs FlockDB on a large cluster of machines. we use it to store social graphs (who follows whom, who blocks whom) and secondary indices at twitter. At first glance, setup and trying it doesn't look straight forward. Have anyone already used it / setup this? If so, please answer the following general queries. What kind of applications is it better suited for? (Twitter claims it is simple and very rough, it remains to see what it meant though) How is FlockDB better than other graph db / noSQL db. Have you setup FlockDB, used it for a application? Early advices any? Note: I am evaluating the FlockDB and other graph databases mainly for learning them.
