  • .net - invoke methods from classes from a certain namespace via reflection

    SPL and PHP allows you to create objects on the fly from classes, that fulfill certain conditions, such as implementing certain interfaces and stuff like that. However, I would like to do something similar in c# and automatically create objects from all classes in a namespace and invoke a particular method from those classes that implement a certain interface. My experience developing desktop apps is very limited. I am not quite sure if I should use delegates to archive this or if reflection is really the way to go.

    I have a scenario where I would want a plugin to construct a LINQ (to objects) query, send it across an appdomain and then apply and run it against a collection of my choosing Is it possible, how? If not, perhaps I could send a whole method (interface) across the appdomain and run it against the data on the appside? The main thing is that I want the data to reside in the CurrentDomain and the logic for operating on it in the plugin so I don't have to send the data across the boundary...

  • Generation of abstract class with JCodeModel

    I'm trying to generate top-level abstract class with JCodeModel library, but I can't find any way to change class modifiers. It's possible for nested classes (JDefinedClass API provides methods that get modifiers as parameters). But for creation of top level classes I found only JCodeModel API methods that get fully qualified name with or without ClassType (class/interface/annotation/enum) as parameters. Does anybody can suggest me how to change modifiers of JDefinedClass to make it abstract?

However the important thing is, the following line of code. : foreach (ManagementObject result in results) { //code here } The point is that ManageObject also implements IDisposable, so I would like to put "result" variable in a using block.     So what I am trying to do is make an application (just for fun, not a lot of purpose), where when you launch it a interface comes up consisting of Username: textboxhere Password: textbox2here then a connect button, and when you fill out your information in the textboxs' then click Connect, it navigates to facebook.com and puts in your information that you defined in the textbox and logs you in. Any ideas guys?

  • visual studio qt5 plugins not working on release

    I'm got this project where i'm showing images with a qt5 interface, i'm simply setting the Pixmap of a label with the qimage pixmap The thing is, it's working on a debug build, but not on a release build and i dont understand why. I already got a folder in my .Exe folder named "plugins" and a subfolder in it named "imageformats", and in this folder the file named "qjpeg.dll" So i coming here to see if someone has an idea on why it doesn't work ?     Hey ! I am making an application which is a user interface to access 2 types of databases - SQLite and MSSQL server. The thing is, SQLite doesnt need to be "installed" since its just a flatfile database, but on the other hand, SQLserver (Express/normal) need to be installed before use. My Question is simple: Is there a way by which i can find out if an instance of SQLserver has been installed on the local machine by using a C# program?

    Hello, I am interested in deploying several RHEL 4 Update 8 virtual machines for creation of a test environment. Here are the steps I am taking: In off hours, P2V/V2V the production machines and convert them to templates Deploy the virtual machines with a customization specification that changes hostname, IP address I am interested in how these processes are done and if there are any options for further customization. Are the machines brought on the network when they are powered on, before they are reconfigured? Is there a potential IP address conflict? Is there an option to run additional scripts which reside on the guest as a part of the reconfiguration? For example, restoring an Oracle Database. This is an option with Windows guests and sysprep, but I have been unable to locate anything showing a RHEL equivalent. I am dealing with a multi tier application. The main issue I am attempting to mitigate is that the application servers reference database servers by hostname and in tnsnames files. I am interested in scripting the reconfiguration of the application in the deployment so that the app/db servers are pointing to the test environment. I am OK with placing the 'cleanup' script on the source and executing it after the machine has been brought up. I am interested in the automation of the script's execution post clone/boot, as well as if there could be an IP address conflict. (cross posted to VMTN's ESX 4 community)

    I'm trying to write a simple/small Windows Communication Foundation service application in Visual Basic (but I am very novice in VB) and all the good examples I've found on the net are written in C#. So far I've gotten my WCF service application working but now I'm trying to add callback functionality and the program has gotten more complicated. In the C# example code I understand how everything works but I am having trouble translating into VB the portion of code that uses a delegate. Can someone please show the VB equivalent?
