Using .dll methods to load data from file in C# code

I want to use in C# these methods: * int LibRaw::open_datastream(LibRaw_abstract_datastream *stream) * int LibRaw::open_file(const char *rawfile) * int LibRaw::open_buffer(void *buffer, size_t bufsize) * int LibRaw::unpack(void) * int LibRaw::unpack_thumb(void) that are stored in a libraw.dll. These functions one by one load data from file... I've been reading about P/Invoke but i'm not sure how to invoke them. Can anyone show me an example how to use all of these functions together in C# to load file (raw image stored in folder) or just how to PIvoke one of them. Thanx!

Jquery Ajax not receiving php response correctly

I'm sending a JSON response from php to jquery: foreach ( $obj as $o ) { $a[ $o->key] = utf8_encode($o->id); } die(json_encode($a)); my html/jquery code is: $.ajax({ type:'POST', url: "imoveis/carrega_bairros", data: ({cidade:10}), dataType:"json", success: function(ret) { alert(ret) if(ret.success) { // ... } else alert("error"); } }); The json response is perfect (i get it on the console), but jquery is receiving a NULL ret object and it alerts "error". What's the problem???

How to create wordpress-like option table and get values for each row?

Hi guys. I'm looking to create an options table in my db that makes every record a system option, so I can work with a little number of fields. My db has the following structure: 3 columns named id, name, and value The following data is inserted as an example: +--+-----------+--------------------------+ |id|name |value | +--+-----------+--------------------------+ | 1|uri |www.example.com | | 2|sitename |Working it out | | 3|base_folder|/folder1/folder2/ | | 4|slogan |Just a slogan for the site| +--+-----------+--------------------------+ That way I can include a large number of customizable system options very easily. The problem is that I don't know how to retrieve them. How do I get the value of uri and store it as a var? And better yet, how do I get, for exmaple, values of id 1 and 4 only without making a query each time? (I assume multiple queries are useless and a pretty ugly method.) I know the question is pretty basic but I'm lost here. I'd really appreciate your answer!

Let us say I have a table (everything is very much simplified): create table OriginalData ( bla char(10) not null ) And I would like to insert its data (set based!) into two tables which model inheritance create table Statements ( Id int IDENTITY NOT NULL, ProposalDateTime DATETIME null ) create table Items ( StatementFk INT not null, ItemName NVARCHAR(255) null, primary key (StatementFk) ) Statements is the parent table and Items is the child table. I have no problem doing this with one row which involves the use of IDENT_CURRENT but I have no idea how to do this set based (i.e. enter several rows into both tables). Thanks. Help with regex pulling XML data from response body in PHP

I am working on a project that pulls data from JMS queue using PHP and Zend Framework. The HTTP client response is below. All I need is the XML string. I came up with /(.*)<\/RequestDetails/gs which tests ok on http://gskinner.com/RegExr/ but the preg_match call is returning an empty matches array. I'm going to continue to hunt around for a pattern, but thought I would post here as well. Thanks to all who read, etc... Steve UPDATE: I can't get the code to paste correctly. loading Data in VBA from a text file

I am not very familiar with VBA but need to use it for a new software program I am using (not Microsoft related) I have a text file that has columns of data I would like to read into VBA. Specifically the text file has 4 entries per row. Thus I would like to load in the column vectors (N by 1). The text file is separated by a space between each entry. So for example I want to load in column one and save it as array A, then column two and save as array B, then column three and save as array C, and then column four and save as array D. This code snippet found below from http://www.tek-tips.com/faqs.cfm?fid=482 is something I found that can load in text to an array, but I need to adapt it to be able to save the columns as different arrays as specified above... Tag property null when data binding

Can anyone see what is wrong with this? Hi all, I have two questions about Google's dense_hash_map, which can be used instead of the more standard unordered_map or hash_map: How do I use an arbitrary binary data memory segment as a key: I want a buffer+length pair, which may still contain some NUL (\0) characters. I can see how I use a NUL-terminated char * string , but that's not what I want. How do I implement an operation where I look if a key exists, and if not - insert it and if it does return the pointer to the existing key and let me know what actually happened. Loading large amounts of data to an Oracle SQL Database

Hey all, I was wondering if anyone had any experience with what I am about to embark on. I have several csv files which are all around a GB or so in size and I need to load them into a an oracle database. While most of my work after loading will be read-only I will need to load updates from time to time. Basically I just need a good tool for loading several rows of data at a time up to my db. Here is what I have found so far: I could use SQL Loader t do a lot of the work I could use Bulk-Insert commands Some sort of batch insert. Using prepared statement somehow might be a good idea. I guess I was wondering what everyone thinks is the fastest way to get this insert done. Any tips?

I have a Excel Workbook that I use as a report template. I change the datasource on each pivot and datatable in a C# app. When I change the datatable datasource it tweeks the columns. C# / IronPython Interop and the "float" data type

Working on a project that uses some IronPython scripts to as plug-ins, that utilize functionality coded in C#. In one of my C# classes, I have a property that is of type: Dictionary<int, float> I set the value of that property from the IronPython code, like this: mc = MyClass() mc.ValueDictionary = Dictionary[int, float]({1:0.0, 2:0.012, 3:0.024}) However, when this bit of code is run, it throws the following exception: Microsoft.Scripting.ArgumentTypeException was unhandled by user code Message=expected Dictionary[int, Single], got Dictionary[int, float] To make things weirder, originally the C# code used Dictionary<int, double> but I could not find a "double" type in IronPython, tried "float" on a whim and it worked fine, giving no errors. But now that it's using float on both ends (which it should have been using from the start) it errors, and thinks that the C# code is using the "Single" data type?! I've even checked in the object browser for the C# library and, sure enough, it shows as using a "float" type and not "Single"

I can use regex to extract the info with preg_match_all but I feel this is not the right way as the data is already well structured. Any other method ?

Get rid of all user data of Android application after bigger update

Hi, I completely revamped an app. Tested it for a while on my device and emulator. The app worked fine. However when I updated the app through the Android market, my users experienced crashes. Since there is no way to properly debug this procedure I asume the crash is caused by old data which is not being removed from the device (probably from the onsavedstate bundle?!). Is there a way to do a "clean/total" reinstall without having the user to do it manually? Best Regards Johe

Google Contacts Data API and PHP

I'm developing a PHP application to retrieve the list of contacts from a GMail account. I'm looking for a solution which would enable the user of my application to provide the login and password to their Gmail account in my application (as opposed to getting redirected to Google) and then automatically do the retrieval. The retrieval process can be run in PHP or JavaScript (which would then feed the list of contacts back to PHP using Ajax). Is it possible to do that? Which JavaScript API should I use for that? Can someone point me at the right chapter in Google Contacts Data API documentation?

Entering Complex Data into Access

Fairly new to Access and trying to do something that seems simple, but may be very complex. I want to create a database of projects, each project has several phases (ie proposal, marketing, etc) and that will allow for multiple employees to work on a single project. Ie Bob and John are working on project number 102. From here, i would like to enter the forecasted start and end dates for each phase of the project, and enter the forecasted number our hours each employee will be allowed to work on that phase of that project ie. Project - Employee - Phase - Start - End - (list weeks) 102 - Bob - Marketing - 12-May-10 - 21-May-10 - 3 - 5 (3 hours first week, 5 hours the second) and so on Basically would all this data be on one table, or several? And can access dynamically show the weeks between the start and end date so that i can input the hours? I feel this database will become severely complicated :S Thanks, J

Navigating by foreign keys in ADO.NET Entity Framework/MySQL

I am using ASP.NET MVC2 on top of a MySQL database in VS2008. I am using the MySQL ADO.NET connector 6.2.3 to provide the connection for the ADO.NET Entity Data Model. This is mostly working ok, however navigating via foreign keys is causing me a real headache! Here is a simplified example.. Car (Table) CarID PK Colour Doors ManufacturerID FK Manufacturer (Table) ManufacturerID PK Name In the edmx file I can see the 1-many relationship shown as a navigation property in the both the Car and Manufacturer tables. I create a Models.CarRepository that allows me to returns a IQueryable. At the View I want to be able to display the Manufacturer.Name for each car. This is not accessible via the object I get returned. What is best way to implement this? Have I encountered a limitation of the Entity Framework/MySQL combination?

Entity Framework 4.1 auto generate with DbContext when creating ADO.NET Entity Data Model

I would like to work with DbContext instead of ObjectContext. I updated EF so now I have the DbContext, but I want to generate my strongly-typed context based on the DbContext and not the ObjectContext. When I add new ADO.NET Entity Data Model, it is still based on the ObjectContext. Is it not possible to have it base off of DbContext in Visual Studio 2010 with EF 4.1? UPDATE: Okay, I followed the directions in this link and was able to generate the DbContext template objects. However, now it is saying there is ambiguity between the template entities and the entities in my .edmx file. How do I resovle this? Do I blow away the ones in the .edmx file?

NHibernate: Dynamically swapping a single domain model between multiple physical data models

Hi In this article Ayende describes how to map a single domain model to multiple physical data models. Is it possible to extend this principle such that the mapping can chosen dynamically? So for example, imagine we had an entity that could be written to the same physical schema in three ways depending on its current status, and lets assume that regardless of status each entity had a unique identifier. One solution would be to represent the entity in its different states with three separate classes: one for each mapping. Then the entity could be loaded and in order to change its state the entity could be mapped to a class representing one of its other states and then saved back to the schema, making use of a different mapping. I was wondering if it is at all possible to have the same entity represented by one class that held a status flag (kind of like a discriminator), and any save to the schema would choose the appropriate mapping based on the value of the status flag. In what programming language this is possible ? def lab(input) input = ['90'] end x = ['80'] lab(x) puts x #=> value of x has changed from ['80'] to ['90] I have written this in ruby but in ruby I get the final x value of 80 because ruby is pass-by-reference. However what is passed is the reference to the data held by x and not pointer to x itself same is true in JavaScript. So I am wondering if there is any programming language where the following is true.

Getting data from JFrame AFTER the form is filled

I'm trying to get data for my application from a form set in an external window (getDataWindow extends javax.swing.JFrame). The problem is that functions are executed before form is filled in. getDataWindow dataW=new getDataWindow(); dataW.setVisible(true); size=dataW.returnSize(); I've tried also adding additional boolean variable to getDataWindow getDataWindow dataW=new getDataWindow(); dataW.setVisible(true); while(!dataW.checkIfReady()){wait();} size=dataW.returnSize(); But it makes also the window wait (it appears but it's black inside and nothing happens). I think i should create some threads for that - I've tried to call a window making function getDataWindow in java.awt.EventQueue.invokeLater(new Runnable()) but I had to initialize dataW earlier so dataW.checkIfReady() could be called, so it is a catch 22.

But there some problem with js I guess. whats wrong here..??
