How to figure out what error my Java Eclipse project has?

I've created a Java project from existing source with an Ant build script in Eclipse. I cannot run my project because Eclipse tells me that there is at least one error in it. Now, I know that the project runs fine on the command line, so I suspect an Eclipse configuration error. As far as I can tell, the only feedback that I have from Eclipse is a little red X on my project in the Package Explorer window and dialog window when I try to run the project says there are errors in the project This is all wonderful, but what is the error? Is there a "show me the next error" button somewhere? In the past, on other Eclipse projects, I've notice other little red X's on folders containing source files with errors, the little red X's appear on the source files as well. I scanned (manually) through all of the source files and I haven't found any other red X's (again, where is the "next error" button?). If I select the "Proceed" button I am greeted with a java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError for my main class, which makes me suspect a classpath issue. I've checked the classpath, and I'm fairly certain that it's correct. Is there a way to see the exact jvm command line that Eclipse is invoking? I realize that it might be invoking the JVM programmatically, and not on a "real" command line. In any case, is there a way, other than the run configuration dialog, to see what is actually happening when I hit the "Proceed" button?

haproxy not passing X_FORWARD_FOR on HTTP POST

Hello, I've setup HAProxy with the option forwardfor option so it'll pass on the user's IP to PHP via $_SERVER[ "HTTP_X_FORWARDED_FOR" ]. If the page request isn't a POST it's populated fine but if it is then it won't be populated. Any ideas where I've gone wrong? Thanks everyone! How can I control the action of onbeforeunload in IE?

So far I can only define the message it shows.For example if I click the "OK" ,I'll go to the voting box instead of closing my IE.And if there's any other better way to do this?Help would be greatly appreciated! Internet wireless connected with limited access, windows vista

I had some malware in my computer so I did a bit of manual work to remove it including resetting TCP/IP. Now the malware is gone. I can see my home wireless network and I can get connected to it but when connected I get the Internet wireless connected with limited access message. When I go to the IE I cannot browse. When I tried to ping 192.168.1.1 I got an Error Code 1231 Unconnected Network Problem. I have deactivated my Windows firewall as I thought it could be hyperactive security. Still no luck. I have Norton but it is not active, I have also Avast and AVG installed but they are not active. Any ideas?

Does stunnel prevent non ssl traffic to "the" specified port?

So say I have an arbitrary tcp port 12345 and it's non ssl and I want to put stunnel to secure traffic to it. When stunnel is in front of it does it mean that this port is now tls/ssl only? Or can you still connect to it unencrypted? Basically I want to make sure that this port can only be accessed through ssl/tls and stunel and no other way. Clarification I want to make sure only stunnel port is open. Which is answered in the comments that the unsecured port should be fire-walled but preferably bound to localhost.

Positioning / Scrolling problem with Flex popup.

Hi all, I'm trying to work out a specific problem I'm having with positioning in Flex using the PopUpManager. Basically I'm wanting to create a popup which will scroll with the parent container - this is necessary because the parent container is large and if the user's browser window isn't large enough (this will be the case the majority of the time) - they will have to use the scrollbar of the container to scroll down. CKEditor instance in a jQuery dialog

Hey, I am using jQuery to open a dialog window with a textarea transformed into an instance of CKEditor. I'm using the jQuery adapter provided by the CKEditor team but when the dialog window opens up I cannot interact with the editor (it's created but "null" is written in the content space and I can't click on anything or modify the content). This bug report seems to say that by using a patch provided the issue is fixed but it doesn't seem to be working for me... Why did cherokee-admin-launcher crash?

I'm trying out the Cherokee http server on a seemingly fine machine. Following simple set-up instructions, I tried running cherokee-admin-launcher but it printed error messages and hung up. Ctrl-C did not kill it; I had to kill -9 it from another xterm. OTOH, cherokee-admin ran fine (or at least got a lot further). Detecting Asymptotes in a Graph

I am creating a graphing calculator in Java as a project for my programming class. There are two main components to this calculator: the graph itself, which draws the line(s), and the equation evaluator, which takes in an equation as a String and... well, evaluates it. To create the line, I create a Path2D.Double instance, and loop through the points on the line. To do this, I calculate as many points as the graph is wide (e.g. if the graph itself is 500px wide, I calculate 500 points), and then scale it to the window of the graph. Now, this works perfectly for most any line. However, it does not when dealing with asymptotes. If, when calculating points, the graph encounters a domain error (such as 1/0), the graph closes the shape in the Path2D.Double instance and starts a new line, so that the line looks mathematically correct. Example: However, because of the way it scales, sometimes it is rendered correctly, sometimes it isn't. When it isn't, the actual asymptotic line is shown, because within those 500 points, it skipped over x = 2.0 in the equation 1 / (x-2), and only did x = 1.98 and x = 2.04, which are perfectly valid in that equation. Example: In that case, I increased the window on the left and right one unit each. My question is: Is there a way to deal with asymptotes using this method of scaling so that the resulting line looks mathematically correct? I myself have thought of implementing a binary search-esque method, where, if it finds that it calculates one point, and then the next point is wildly far away from the last point, it searches in between those points for a domain error. I had trouble figuring out how to make it work in practice, however. Thank you for any help you may give!

Linux Lightweight Distro and X Windows for Development

Heyall... I want to build a lightweight linux configuration to use for development. The first idea is to use it inside a Virtual Machine under Windows, or old Laptops with 1Gb RAM top. Maybe even a distributable environment for developers. So the whole idea is to use a LAMP server, Java Application Server (Tomcat or Jetty) and X Windows (any Window manager, from FVWM to Enlightment), Eclipse, maybe jEdit and of course Firefox. OpenGL ES, UIView and Status Bar mess

I have iPhone (iPhoneOS 3.x) OpenGL ES app that: can be in landscape/portrait orientation can be with/without status bar shown I do this by changing status bar orientation and hidden state, then updating OpenGL view frame so it won't overlap status bar and setting projection matrix appropriately. OpenGL view is in portrait orientation at all time. View controller's shouldAutorotateToInterfaceOrientation: method returns false always, so the status bar won't start autorotating when app is in landscape mode. The problem I have is that I want to use some other UIViews, like: UIWebView, MFMailComposeView, MPMediaPicker. I could show them as modals, but this this have some drawbacks: views will always show in portrait orientation, even if they support landscape orientation views will not autorotate, even if they support it What I do is I take OpenGL view of the window with removeFromSuperview, set transform to the other view so it will be in portrait/landscape orientation when it shows up and place the other view on the window with addSubview:. This works fine without the status bar, but with it there are some problems I cannot work out: MPMediaPicker is sized to fit under status bar, but it slides under it anyway MFMailComposeView does not show navigation bar until it autorotates on device orientation change Does anyone has an idea how can I get it to work?

Qt 4.x: how to implement drag-and-drop onto the desktop or into a folder?

Hi all, I've written a little file-transfer application written in C++ using Qt 4.x ... it logs into a server, shows the user a list of files available on the server, and lets the user upload or download files. This all works fine; you can even drag a file in from the desktop (or from an open folder), and when you drop the file icon into the server-files-list-view, the dropped file gets uploaded to the server. Now I have a request for the opposite action as well... my users would like to be able to drag a file out of the server-files-list-view and onto the desktop, or into an open folder window, and have that file get downloaded into that location. That seems like a reasonable request, but I don't know how to implement it. Is there a way for a Qt application to find out the directory corresponding to where "drop event" occurred, when the icon was dropped onto the desktop or into an open folder window? Ideally this would be a Qt-based platform-neutral mechanism, but if that doesn't exist, then platform-specific mechanisms for MacOS/X and Windows (XP or higher) would suffice. Any ideas?

Linux 2.6.31 Scheduler and Multithreaded Jobs

I run massively parallel scientific computing jobs on a shared Linux computer with 24 cores. Most of the time my jobs are capable of scaling to 24 cores when nothing else is running on this computer. However, it seems like when even one single-threaded job that isn't mine is running, my 24-thread jobs (which I set for high nice values) only manage to get ~1800% CPU (using Linux notation). Meanwhile, about 500% of the CPU cycles (again, using Linux notation) are idle. Can anyone explain this behavior and what I can do about it to get all of the 23 cores that aren't being used by someone else? Notes: In case it's relevant, I have observed this on slightly different kernel versions, though I can't remember which off the top of my head. The CPU architecture is x64. Is it at all possible that the fact that my 24-core jobs are 32-bit and the other jobs I'm competing w/ are 64-bit is relevant? Edit: One thing I just noticed is that going up to 30 threads seems to alleviate the problem to some degree. It gets me up to ~2100% CPU.

WPF toolbar disappearing on resize

On my main form I have a toolbar with a number of buttons. Once the parent form is resized down by dragging it so that the entire toolbar with all its buttons no longer fits in the width of the window, the whole toolbar disappears. Is there a way I can make it so that as you resize it, when you get to the width of the toolbar the inner controls of the form stop resizing and stay displayed, just cut off where the window has resized to? I'm using fail2ban to block web vulnerability scanners. It is working correctly when visiting the site if CloudFlare is bypassed, but a user can still access it if going through it. I have mod_cloudflare installed. Is it possible to block users with IPtables when using Cloudflare? CCSprite with actions crossing the screen boundaries (copy sprite problem)

Let's say we have a CCSprite object that has an actions tied to it: -(void) moveJack { CCSpriteSheet *sheet = (CCSpriteSheet*)[self getChildByTag:kSheet]; CCSprite *jack = (CCSprite*)[sheet getChildByTag:kJack]; ... CCSequence *seq = [CCSequence actions: jump1, [jump1 reverse], jump2, nil]; [jack runAction:seq]; } If the sprite crosses over the screen boundary, I would like to display it at opposite side. So, original sprite is half displayed on the right side (for example), and half on the left side, because it has not fully crossed yet. Obviously (or is it), I need 2 sprites to achieve this. One on the right side (original), and one on the left side (a copy). The problem is - I don't know how to create exact copy of the original sprite, because tied actions have scaling and blending transformations (sprite is a bit distorted). I would like to have something like: CCSprite *copy = [[jack copy] autorelease]; so that I can add a copy to display it on the correct side (and kill it after transition is over). It should have all the actions tied to it... Any ideas?

Scrolling down to next element via keypress & scrollTo plugin - jQuery

I am using jQuery's scrollTo plugin to scroll up and down my page, using UP arrow and DOWN arrow. i have a bunch of div with class "screen", as so: <div class="screen-wrapper">...</div> What I am trying to do is, when i press UP or DOWN, the window scrolls to the next, or previous div with class of "screen". I have the keypresses taken care of. I'm looking for a set of servers for performance testing a network, and secondarily testing some applications on the servers. Their most important task is simply to pump out data: from an application like memcached or just dumped from a large file in memory into a TCP flow (i.e., disk performance doesn't matter). This should happen over one or more 1 gigabit Ethernet ports, and the machines should run Linux (ideally), or perhaps Mac OS X or some other *nix. Other than that, there are few constraints (e.g., even something ARM-based could be fine). So here's the question: What's the cheapest server per gigabit? Price and power are both considerations.

Symptoms: 1) Root has /bin/bash as default shell, and can log in normally via SSH: $ grep root /etc/passwd root:x:0:0:root:/root:/bin/bash $ ssh root@NAS root@NAS's password: Last login: Sun Dec 16 14:06:56 2012 from desktop # 2) joeuser has /bin/bash as default shell, and receives "Permission denied" when trying to log in via SSH: $ grep joeuser /etc/passwd joeuser:x:1029:100:Joe User:/home/joeuser:/bin/bash $ ssh joeuser@localhost joeuser@NAS's password: Last login: Sun Dec 16 14:07:22 2012 from desktop Permission denied, please try again. Connection to localhost closed. 3) changing joeuser's shell back to /bin/sh: $ grep joeuser /etc/passwd joeuser:x:1029:100:Joe User:/home/joeuser:/bin/sh $ ssh joeuser@localhost Last login: Sun Dec 16 15:50:52 2012 from localhost $ To make things even more strange, I can log in as joeuser using /bin/bash using the serial console (!). Also a su - joeuser as root works fine, so the bash binary itself is working fine. In an act of despair, I changed joeuser's uid to 0 on /etc/passwd, but also didn't work, so it doesn't seem to be anything permission related. Seems that bash is doing some extra checking that sshd didn't like, and blocking the connections for non-root users. Maybe some sort of sanity checking - or terminal emulation - that is triggering the SIGCHLD, but only when called via ssh. I already went through every single item on sshd_config, and also put SSHD in debug mode, but didn't find anything strange. I also tried using a pre-compiled binary from the Optware distribution, but had the exact same problem. I checked for missing shared libraries using objdump -x, but they're all there. Any ideas what could be causing this "Permission denied, please try again."? I'm almost diving in the bash source code to investigate, but trying to avoid hours chasing something that may be silly.

WPF TexBox TwoWay Binding Problem when ValidationRules used

I seem to have a problem with TwoWay DataBinding - my application has a window with a bunch of textboxes that allow to edit values of the properties they are bound to. Everything works well except for textboxes that also have a validation rule defined, in which case no text is displayed in the textbox when the window opens (binding back-to-source still works fine for those). If I remove Validation rule, everything's back to normal. I searched for an answer to this for a few hours now, but somehow did not even find anyone else complaining of the same issue. I am completely new to WPF, and I am sure it is just a silly mistake I have somewhere in my code... MySQL doesn't talk to PHP anymore (EasyPHP)

I've just upgraded from Windows XP to Windows 7 (64 bit) I was using EasyPHP 5.3.1 to develop my website, but since I've upgraded I can't get PHP to talk to MySQL. Even the PHPMyAdmin page doesn't load. I've tried installing the latest 64bit version of MySQL in place of the supplied version of MySQL, but that hasn't helped. The queries just don't seem to reach MySQL. I have verified that the DB for my database works by running mysql on the command line. PHPMyAdmin doesn't display an error, just a blank page. WPF Browser is there, but invisible.
