Hi, I used csv2xls.pl to convert a text log into .xls file, and then apply create chart function as following: my $chart3 = $workbook-add_chart( type = 'line' , embedded = 1); Configure the series. $chart3-add_series( categories = '=Sheet1!$B$2:$B$64', values = '=Sheet1!$C$2:$C$64', name = 'Test data series 1', ); Add some labels. $chart3-set_title( name = 'Bridge Rate Analysis' ); $chart3-set_x_axis( name = 'Packet Size ' ); $chart3-set_y_axis( name = 'BVI Rate' ); Insert the chart into the main worksheet. $worksheet-insert_chart( 'G2', $chart3 ); ========== I can see the chart in .xls file, however, all the data is in text format, not number, therefore, the chart looks wrong. I am wondering can you tell me how to convert text into number before apply this create chart function? One other thing is any idea how to apply sorting on the .xls file before create chart? Thanks. I need to allow access to an svn repository using email addresses as the user name. I can log in to the server over ssh no problem by changing the email address "@" to a "$" like so: ssh [email protected] Unfortunately, the same does not work for svn+ssh. This gets me nowhere: svn ls svn+ssh://[email protected]/home/accountname/data/svn/repos Anyone know how this is usually done?

How could I use AJAX to create a Json data source .txt file?

I'm creating a form that collects standard information about customers. When the user hits save, I would like to create a .txt file that would be used to later retrieve all of the data collected from customers. I'm using DataTables which is a jQuery plugin to display the data. The .txt file would be formatted to be saved as such: { "aaData": [ ["client 1 name","address","city","state","zip"], ["client 2 name","address","city","state","zip"], ["client 3 name","address","city","state","zip"], ... ["client x name","address","city","state","zip"] ] } Where "aaData": is used by DataTables. This is going to part of an iPhone app, so the data source has to be very small and not reliant on a constant connection to a server, so, essentially, a client-side data source. The .txt file has to also be updated when edited and saved, and then replaced every time it is downloaded.

Greetings, I am getting a very weird and unpredictable result in firefox when using the following syntax: $this->Html->link($this->Html->div('p-cpt',$project['Project']['name']) . $this->Html->div('p-img',$this->Html->image('/img/projects/'.$project['Project']['slug'].'/project.thumb.jpg', array('alt'=>$project['Project']['name'],'width'=>100,'height'=>380))),array('controller' => 'projects', 'action' => 'view', $project['Project']['slug']),array('title' => $project['Project']['name'], 'escape' => false),false); OK I know it is big but bear with me. The point is to get the following output: <a href="x" title="x"> <div class="p-ctp">Name</div> <div class="p-img"><img src="z width="y" height="a" alt="d" /></div> </a> I'm not sure if this validates correctly both on cakephp and html but it works everywhere else apart from firefox. You can actually see the result here: http://www.gnomonconstructions.com/projects/browser To reproduce the result use the form with different categories and press search. At some point it will happen!! Although most of the time it renders the way it should, sometimes it produces an invalid output like that: <a href="x" title="x"></a> <div class="p-cpt"> <a href="x" title="x">name</a> </div> <div class="p-img"> <a href="x" title="x"><img src="x" width="x" height="x" alt="x" /></a> </div> Looks like it repeats the link inside each element. To be honest the only reason I used this syntax was because cakephp encourages it. Any help will be much appreciated :)

I have a list of keywords in an ArrayList and I wanted to be able to build a query to find records in a table based on this keywords. Since the list of keywords is dynamic I cannot build a fixed query here. if I do something like this: foreach (string kw in keywords) { query = query.Where(p => p.Name.StartsWith(kw)); } The "StartsWith" is required here because I need to search those records that actually start with the provided keyword. In T-SQL it Would be something like this Select * from Table where Name like 'keyword1%' or Name like 'keyword2%' or Name like 'keyword3%' or ... But I need to be able to do this in LINQ...Is this possible?

Lets say I have an application with a structure such as: System set date set name set something Other set death ray target calibrate and I want to have "back" and "next" buttons on a page. The catch is, if you're going in via the "wizard", I want the nav path to be something like "set name" - "set death ray target" - "set name". If you go via the Advanced options menu, I want to just iterate options... "set date" - "set name" - "set something" - "set death ray target" - calibrate. So far, I'm thinking I have to use different URIs, but that's that. Any ideia how this could be done? Thanks.

And these ingredients have different prices for different sizes. For that I also have a table like Ingredient :: id | name | sizeid | categoryid | price I am not sure if this Structure really normalized is. Can someone please help me to optimize this structure and which indexed do i need for this Structure?

So I have a web application on Tomcat, built on top of Struts 1.1. Funny, how sometimes the simple things bite me in the behind. I can bind a DataGrid nicely to a Collection of some arbitrary class, using a DataGridTextColumn like this: <DataGridTextColumn Header="Name" Binding="{Binding Name}"/> Now I want to bind a DataGrid to a simple Collection. So since there is no property "Name" or something like that to bind to, how do I write the binding: <DataGridTextColumn Header="Name" Binding="{Binding ???}"/> String has no Property "Value" or something like that. And if I just write {Binding } I'll end up with a one-way-binding, unable to write changes back to the Collection. Thinking about it, I think it is not possible to bind to a collection, so I do need to wrap my string into a class? Or is there a way?

Adding either resulted in compiler warnings and runtime errors. I've tried the explicit syntax as described here but haven't found the right combination yet.

Ajax post not posting email address ?

UPDATE: It will not work in Firefox, but will work on any other browser. I even tried loading Firefox in safe mode (disabling all plugins, etc.) and still no worky. :( I'm trying to do an AJAX post (on form submission) to a separate PHP file, which works fine without trying to send an email address through the post. Get a unique data in a SQL query

Hi, I've a database who contain some datas in that form: icon(name, size, tag) (myicon.png, 16, 'twitter') (myicon.png, 32, 'twitter') (myicon.png, 128, 'twitter') (myicon.png, 256, 'twitter') (anothericon.png, 32, 'facebook') (anothericon.png, 128, 'facebook') (anothericon.png, 256, 'facebook') So as you see it, the name field is not uniq I can have multiple icons with the same name and they are separated with the size field. Now in PHP I have a query that get ONE icon set, for example : $dbQueryIcons = mysql_query("SELECT * FROM pl_icon WHERE tag LIKE '%".$SEARCH_QUERY."%' GROUP BY name ORDER BY id DESC LIMIT ".$firstEntry.", ".$CONFIG['icon_per_page']."") or die(mysql_error()); With this example if $tag contain 'twitter' it will show ONLY the first SQL data entry with the tag 'twitter', so it will be : (myicon.png, 16, 'twitter') This is what I want, but I would prefer the '128' size by default. Is this possible to tell SQL to send me only the 128 size when existing and if not another size ? In an another question someone give me a solution with the GROUP BY but in this case that don't run because we have a GROUP BY name. And if I delete the GROUP BY, it show me all size of the same icons. Thanks !
