    - by Amit Jain
Hi I am having to picker controls on a single view with two outlets for each. Now when I select any of them same delegate methods are get called. How should we distinguish between which picker control has called the delegate ? Another question is can we change the frame size of the pickers to fit in one view? Thanks Amit

  • Distributed Computing Framework (.NET) - Specifically for CPU Instensive operations

    - by StevenH
I am currently researching the options that are available (both Open Source and Commercial) for developing a distributed application. "A distributed system consists of multiple autonomous computers that communicate through a computer network." Wikipedia The application is focused on distributing highly cpu intensive operations (as opposed to data intensive) so I'm sure MapReduce solutions don't fit the bill. Any framework that you can recommend ( + give a brief summary of any experience or comparison to other frameworks ) would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

  • Visual Studio 2005 and Windows SDK 6.1 (Server 2008)

    - by bde
I am trying to figure out how Visual Studio 2005 and the Windows SDK 6.1 integrate in a command line build environment (if at all). I am mostly interested in x64 development, but also just in how these two packages fit together. Is it possible/advisable to use the compiler and linker from Visual Studio 2005 and the headers/libraries from the newer Windows SDK 6.1? Also, is it possible to use the devenv command (part of VS2005) in the Windows SDK 6.1 build environment?

    - by Holograham
I cannot find the org.restlet.ext.crypto package in the Restlet maven repo http://maven.restlet.org/ Strange that the examples use it though its nowhere to be found in the maven repo. Anyone know why this is or have a similar experience. I am trying to fit Restlet into an existing GWT project using maven.

  • I don't get Zend_Validate_Regex working

    - by poru
Zend_Validate_Alpha doesn't fit 100% to that what I want and I don't get Zend_Validate_Regex working. I want that the validator just allows a-z/A-Z, 0-9, _ and -. I tried to add the following to one of my inputs: addValidator('Regex', true, array('pattern' => '/^[a-zA-Z0-9_-]/')) but for example abc§$%& is a valid input says the Zend Validator. What am I doing wrong?

Does anyone have an idea how to Print (A4) the Content of a ListView (e.g. with all the ColumnHeaders, fit to the Page-Width and without the Scrollbar)? I've found several old threads about this on stackoverflow, but no complete answer. Thank you. Cheers

  • Visual Studio 2008 Report Designer - can't turn on gridlines

    - by bob
Microsoft in their infinite wisdom have seen fit to remove the useful "Draw Grid" and "Snap to Grid" checkboxes in the report properties dialog that were in VS 2005 but are not in VS 2008. I'm assuming they put that functionality elsewhere but I can't find it after going through what seems like every menu option available. Does anybody know how to turn on the gridlines?

  • Jquery Cycle Plugin Question - turning off relative links to photos so it goes to a URL

    - by alpdog14
I am using Jquery Cycle Plugin and it has a side panel that highlights as the photos change and currently when I click on the text the associated photo pulls up then I have to click on the photo to go to the URL but I would like the text itself to link to the URL. I have looked at the fn.cycle.defaults but not sure what to change and I tried a few things but nothing works. If anyone can help me figure this out it would be most helpful. Here are the fn.cycle.defaults: fx: 'fade', // one of: fade, shuffle, zoom, scrollLeft, etc timeout: 4000, // milliseconds between slide transitions (0 to disable auto advance) continuous: 0, // true to start next transition immediately after current one completes speed: 1000, // speed of the transition (any valid fx speed value) speedIn: null, // speed of the 'in' transition speedOut: null, // speed of the 'out' transition next: null, // id of element to use as click trigger for next slide prev: null, // id of element to use as click trigger for previous slide prevNextClick: null, // callback fn for prev/next clicks: function(isNext, zeroBasedSlideIndex, slideElement) pager: null, // id of element to use as pager container pagerClick: null, // callback fn for pager clicks: function(zeroBasedSlideIndex, slideElement) pagerEvent: null, // event which drives the pager navigation pagerAnchorBuilder: null, // callback fn for building anchor links before: null, // transition callback (scope set to element to be shown) after: null, // transition callback (scope set to element that was shown) end: null, // callback invoked when the slideshow terminates (use with autostop or nowrap options) easing: null, // easing method for both in and out transitions easeIn: null, // easing for "in" transition easeOut: null, // easing for "out" transition shuffle: null, // coords for shuffle animation, ex: { top:15, left: 200 } animIn: null, // properties that define how the slide animates in animOut: null, // properties that define how the slide animates out cssBefore: null, // properties that define the initial state of the slide before transitioning in cssAfter: null, // properties that defined the state of the slide after transitioning out fxFn: null, // function used to control the transition height: 'auto', // container height startingSlide: 0, // zero-based index of the first slide to be displayed sync: 1, // true if in/out transitions should occur simultaneously random: 0, // true for random, false for sequence (not applicable to shuffle fx) fit: 0, // force slides to fit container pause: true, // true to enable "pause on hover" autostop: 0, // true to end slideshow after X transitions (where X == slide count) autostopCount: 0, // number of transitions (optionally used with autostop to define X) delay: 0, // additional delay (in ms) for first transition (hint: can be negative) slideExpr: null, // expression for selecting slides (if something other than all children is required) cleartype: 0, // true if clearType corrections should be applied (for IE) nowrap: 0 // true to prevent slideshow from wrapping }; I have tried changing the pageClick and pagerEvent but nothing seems to be working. • Embedding a flowchart design surface in a .NET application

    - by PaulB
I need to incorporate a flowchart design surface into an application we're developing to allow users to create what are essentially workflows/schedules. I need to be able to create my own 'shapes', set custom properties on them and possibly have a bit of logic in there too (if, while etc). I know I need to take a look at hosting WF in the application. It looks like a good fit, but what other designer compoments out there could I use?

  • Script tag in XHTML

    - by Ben
Hi, This might sound like a reaaaally dumb question but... why do browsers have a fit with this syntax: <script type='text/javascript' src="/path/to/my.js" /> and want this instead <script type='text/javascript' src="/path/to/my.js"></script> Seems the first construct should be valid since there's no inner content to the tag.. ?

  • ScaleTransform and Image size

    - by Vinjamuri
I have a Canvas which has an image as background. When I do the ScaleTransform to increase the size of the image, the image blows out of the Canvas. Although I increase the size, I don't want the image to go out of the Canvas, I just want it to fit inside the Canvas. How to fix this issue in WPF?

  • Algoritms for "fuzzy matching" strings

    - by Alexey Romanov
By fuzzy matching I don't mean similar strings by Levenshtein distance or something similar, but the way it's used in TextMate/Ido/Icicles: given a list of strings, find those which include all characters in the search string, but possibly with other characters between, preferring the best fit.

  • How to parametrize a test using cppunit

    - by Harald Scheirich
We are using cppunit, i am trying to run the same test using different parameters, running a loop inside the test is not a good option as any failure will abort the test. I have looked at TestDecorator and TestCaller but neither seem to really fit. Code samples would be helpful. Thanks.

  • Good Package for Fitting Polynomial Trend Lines

    - by Rev316
Given a simple data set, I would like to be able to calculate a trending formula given it's a second order polynomial regression. In fact, it would be great if one could even forecast X periods during calculation (similar to what Excel does). I'm looking for a portable C/C++ package that's relatively easy to use, and allows it to spit out the "best-fit" (highest R^2 value) curve. Any suggestions? Thanks!

  • How do you make a CSS-defined table-cell scroll?

    - by Giffyguy
I want to be able to set the height of the table, and force the cells to scroll individually if they are larger than the table. Consider the following code: (see it in action here) <div style="display: table; position: absolute; width: 25%; height: 80%; min-height: 80%; max-height: 80%; left: 0%; top: 10%; right: 75%; bottom: 10%; border: solid 1px black;"> <div style="display: table-row;"> <div style="display: table-cell; border: solid 1px blue;"> {Some dynamic text content}<br/> This cell should shrink to fit it's contents. </div> </div> <div style="display: table-row;"> <div style="display: table-cell; border: solid 1px red; overflow: scroll;"> This should only take up the remainder of the table's vertical space. This should only take up the remainder of the table's vertical space. This should only take up the remainder of the table's vertical space. This should only take up the remainder of the table's vertical space. This should only take up the remainder of the table's vertical space. This should only take up the remainder of the table's vertical space. This should only take up the remainder of the table's vertical space. This should only take up the remainder of the table's vertical space. </div> </div> </div> If you open this code (in IE8, in my case) you'll notice that the second cell fits in the table nicely when the browser is maximized. In theory, when you shrink the browser (forcing the table to shrink as well), a vertical scrollbar should appear INSIDE the second cell when the table becomes too small to fit all of the content. But in reality, the table just grows vertically, beyond the bounds set by the CSS height attribute(s). Hopefully I've explained this scenario adequately... Does anyone know how I can get this to work?

  • General advice about scaling on QGraphicsView/QGraphicsScene

    - by onurozcelik
Hi, In my project I am using QGraphicsView/QGraphicsScene stuff. On my scene there will be regions that contains 2D graphics. Region count will be limited(Lets say 20) Users can choose to display one or more regions. If user choose to display one region I am going to show one region on scene If user choose to display n regions I am going to show n regions on scene I need a scaling logic to fit n regions on same scene. How can I achieve this?

  • What is missing from the Java API?

    - by Jack
I started using Java years ago and I've always found almost everything I need inside the standard API provided with JDK SE, with the exception of specific things that don't fit well inside a generic API, like GUI elements (graphs or so on) or advanced mathematical API.. So I was wondering: Which are the most important things that the Java API is missing? When I say "important", I mean either things that you have often needed, but have had to rely on custom libraries, or things that are usually are included in APIs, but not in Java's.
