• Revalidate JPanel's parent frame

  I need show/hide some fields of my panel, and I want the panel to fit the frame. How could I notify to the parent frame to revalidate? I think in pass the frame to my panel's constructor, but I think may have a way this is already done. I remember that there was a protected attribute in JPanel, but there isn't.. maybe i remembering the wrong component.

  I am working on an iGoogle-like application. Content from other applications (on other domains) is shown using iframes. How do I resize the iframes to fit the height of the iframes' content? I've tried to decipher the javascript Google uses but it's obfuscated, and searching the web has been fruitless so far. Update: Please note that content is loaded from other domains, so the same-origin policy applies.

• Extend precision of MySQL's double datatype?

  I am trying to save the value "6.714285714285714" into a DOUBLE datatype field. Unfortunately it does not fit at all and is cutted by one char. Storing larger numbers becomes less precise. Already searched in the mysql manual and it seems to be that double is the most precise data type available. Anyone knows a practicable workaround? Sorry for my bad english and thx a lot!

• Java - How to force resize JCheckBox to prevent clicking the empty space ?

  When i create a JCheckBox in my Swing application i leave some extra space after its label, so if the JCheckBox label is for example 100 pixels width, i make the JCheckBox 120 pixels for safety. The problem as at runtime, it's not nice that a user can click on the empty space after the JCheckBox label and it can be actually clicked, like this : I wonder if there is a way to resize the JCheckBox at runtime to exactly fit the text inside it, depending on the font type/size used ? This seems fancy a bit, but i like to make things look perfect :)

• Accidentally created VB.NET project instead of C#

  This should seem simple enough, but can't figure it out. I was porting a project out of MonoDevelop and into VS2008, but I accidently created the project as VB.NET instead of C#. Now ReSharper and any syntax highlighting is throwing a fit because it's trying to validate it as VB. How do I tell it to treat it as a C# project without creating a whole new one?

  Hiya, Is it possible to have sIFR "preload" or load before the rest of the page content? At present it is the last thing to load (due to the text position) and as it's quite an obvious part of the page I get a huge mash-up of text replacement all in a quick flurry which is not very appealing.   I have an application, and I would like to print a JTable, but since it has many columns, I would like user to select/limit which columns to print so it can fit in regular printer paper. I'm using JTable.print() function to print.   Hi all, I have a strange bug. I create a qx.ui.table.Table and if not all specified columns fit into window (horizontal scroll appear) my browsers (firefox 3.5.6 and chrome 5.0.344) hangs. If i just set width for window large (e.g. from 600px to 800px) - all works fine. May be I'm doing something wrong? Or how can I fix/avoid this 'strange' behaviour?
