  • JBoss as a windows service. Where can i set the JAVA_OPTS?

    - by ikky
    hi. I'm running JBoss as a windows service, but i can't seem to find where i can configure the JAVA_OPTS to make it work properly. I need to set the Xms and the Xmx. I have tried to just run JBoss manually (run.bat) and in the same file i set the JAVA_OPTS= -Xms128m -Xmx512m. And that works. Here is my install.bat where i install the JBoss as a service: set JBOSS_CLASS_PATH=%JAVA_HOME%\lib\tools.jar;%JBOSS_HOME%\bin\run.jar rem copy /Y JavaService.exe D:\PROJECT\bin\JBossService.exe JBossService.exe -install JBoss %JAVA_HOME%\jre\bin\server\jvm.dll -Djava.class.path=%JBOSS_CLASS_PATH% -start org.jboss.Main -stop org.jboss.Shutdown -method systemExit -out %PROJECT_HOME%\log\JBoss_out.log -err %PROJECT_HOME%\log\JBoss_err.log -current D:\PROJECT\bin net start JBoss When i look at the info about JBoss Application Server (http://localhost:8080/web-console/) i see this info: JVM Environment Free Memory: 9 MB Max Memory: 63 MB Total Memory: 63 MB And i MUST have more Max Memory. Does anybody know where i can set the JAVA_OPTS when running JBoss as a service?

  • MongoDb - $match filter not working in subdocument

    - by Ranjith
    This is Collection Structure [{ "_id" : "....", "name" : "aaaa", "level_max_leaves" : [ { level : "ObjectIdString 1", max_leaves : 4, } ] }, { "_id" : "....", "name" : "bbbb", "level_max_leaves" : [ { level : "ObjectIdString 2", max_leaves : 2, } ] }] I need to find the subdocument value of level_max_leaves.level filter when its matching with given input value. And this how I tried, For example, var empLevelId = 'ObjectIdString 1' ; MyModel.aggregate( {$unwind: "$level_max_leaves"}, {$match: {"$level_max_leaves.level": empLevelId } }, {$group: { "_id": "$level_max_leaves.level", "total": { "$sum": "$level_max_leaves.max_leaves" }}}, function (err, res) { console.log(res); }); But here the $match filter is not working. I can't find out exact results of ObjectIdString 1 If I filter with name field, its working fine. like this, {$match: {"$name": "aaaa" } }, But in subdocument level its returns 0. {$match: {"$level_max_leaves.level": "ObjectIdString 1"} }, My expected result was, { "_id" : "ObjectIdString 1", "total" : 4, }

  • setting a timeout for an InputStreamreader variable

    - by Noona
    I have a server running that accepts connections made through client sockets, I need to read the input from this client socket, now suppose the client opened a connection to my server without sending anything through the server's socket outputstream, in this case, while my server tried to read the input through the client socket's inputstream, an exception will be thrown, but before the exception is thrown i would like a timeout say of 5 sec, how can I do this? currently here's how my code looks like on the server side: try { InputStreamReader clientInputStream = new InputStreamReader(clientSocket.getInputStream()); int c; StringBuffer requestBuffer = new StringBuffer(); while ((c = clientInputStream.read()) != -1) { requestBuffer.append((char) c); if (requestBuffer.toString().endsWith(("\r\n\r\n"))) break; } request = new Request(requestBuffer.toString(), clientSocket); } catch (Exception e) // catch any possible exception in order to keep the thread running { try { if (clientSocket != null) clientSocket.close(); } catch (IOException ex) { ex.printStackTrace(); } System.err.println(e); //e.printStackTrace(); }

  • Compiling a class using Java code using process

    - by Noona
    I have this piece of code that compiles a class called tspClassName, when I compile using this code: Process compileProc = null; try { compileProc = Runtime.getRuntime().exec("javac -classpath ." + File.separator + "src" + File.separator + File.separator + "generated." + tspClassName + ".java -d ." + File.separator + "bin"); // catch exception if (compileProc.exitValue() != 0) { System.out.println("Compile exit status: " + compileProc.exitValue()); System.err.println("Compile error:" + compileProc.getErrorStream()); it outputs this: "Compile exit status: 2 Compile error:java.io.FileInputStream@17182c1" The class tspClassName.java compiles without errors otherwise, so I am guessing it has to do with the path,and in my eclipse project, the tspClassName.java resides in package homework4.generated inside src, is there something wrong with the path that I use in the code? thanks

  • JSON.Stringify data including boolean values

    - by ancdev
    What I'm trying to do is to pass JSON object to a WebAPI ajax call and mapped to a strongly typed object on the server side. String values are being posted perfectly however when it comes to boolean values, they are not being passed at all. Below is my code: var gsGasolineField = $('.gsGasoline').val(); blData = { Gasoline: gsGasolineField }; var json = JSON.stringify(blData); $.ajax({ type: "POST", url: url, data: json, contentType: "application/json", dataType: "json", statusCode: { 201 /*Created"*/: function (data) { $("#BusinessLayerDialog").dialog("close"); ClearForm("#BusinessLayerForm"); }, 400: /*Bad request - validation error*/ function (data) { $("#BusinessLayerForm").validate().form(); }, 500: function (data) { alert('err'); } }, beforeSend: setHeader }); Gasoline property is of type boolean on the server side.

My code look like: signal(SIGPIPE, SIG_IGN ); struct event_base *base = event_base_new(); redisAsyncContext *c = redisAsyncConnect("127.0.0.1", 6379); if (c->err) { /* Let *c leak for now... */ printf("Error: %s\n", c->errstr); return 1; } redisLibeventAttach(c, base); redisAsyncSetConnectCallback(c, connectCallback); redisAsyncSetDisconnectCallback(c, disconnectCallback); redisAsyncCommand(c, NULL, NULL, "SET key %b", argv[argc - 1], strlen(argv[argc - 1])); redisAsyncCommand(c, getCallback, (char*) "end-1", "GET key"); redisAsyncCommand(c, getCallback, (char*) "end-1", "SUBSCRIBE foo"); Now how to tell hiredis to wait for message on channel ?

  • jQuery code to track clicks on outgoing links (google analystics)

    - by Tristan
    Hello, I found this on the web: $('a[href^=http]:not("[href*=://' + document.domain + ']")').click(function() { pageTracker._trackPageview('/outgoing/' + $(this).attr('href')); }); But it's not working. In my Google Analytics account there are no /outgoing/ links showing (it's been 24+ hours since I implemented it). What's wrong with this code? I'm using jQuery of course ;) (PS : i already have : <script type="text/javascript"> var gaJsHost = (("https:" == document.location.protocol) ? "https://ssl." : "http://www."); document.write(unescape("%3Cscript src='" + gaJsHost + "google-analytics.com/ga.js' type='text/javascript'%3E%3C/script%3E")); </script> <script type="text/javascript"> try { var pageTracker = _gat._getTracker("UA MY CODE"); pageTracker._trackPageview(); } catch(err) {}</script>)

  • Javascript 'class' and singleton problems

    - by Kucebe
    I have a singleton object that use another object (not singleton), to require some info to server: var singleton = (function(){ /*_private properties*/ var myRequestManager = new RequestManager(params, //callbacks function(){ previewRender(response); }, function(){ previewError(); } ); /*_public methods*/ return{ /*make a request*/ previewRequest: function(request){ myRequestManager.require(request); //err:myRequestManager.require is not a func }, previewRender: function(response){ //do something }, previewError: function(){ //manage error } }; }()); This is the 'class' that make the request to the server function RequestManager(params, success, error){ //create an ajax manager this.param = params; this._success = success; //callbacks this._error = error; } RequestManager.prototype = { require: function(text){ //make an ajax request }, otherFunc: function(){ //do other things } } The problem is that i can't call myRequestManager.require from inside singleton object. Firebug consolle says: "myRequestManager.require is not a function", but i don't understand where the problem is. Is there a better solution for implement this situation?

  • What difference does it make to use several script blocks on a web page?

    - by Jan Aagaard
    What difference does it make to use more than one script block on a web page? I have pasted in the standard code for including Google Analytics as an example, and I have seen the same pattern used in other places. Why is this code separated into two separate script blocks instead of just using a single one? <script type="text/javascript"> var gaJsHost = (("https:" == document.location.protocol) ? "https://ssl." : "http://www."); document.write(unescape("%3Cscript src='" + gaJsHost + "google-analytics.com/ga.js' type='text/javascript'%3E%3C/script%3E")); </script> <script type="text/javascript"> try{ var pageTracker = _gat._getTracker("UA-xxxxxx-x"); pageTracker._trackPageview(); } catch(err) {} </script>

  • apache commons http client efficiency

    - by wo_shi_ni_ba_ba
    I use apache commons http client to send data via post every second, is there a way to make the following code more efficient? I know http is stateless, but is there anything I can do to improve since the base url is always the same in this case(only the parameter value change. private void sendData(String s){ try { HttpClient client = getHttpClient(); HttpPost method = new HttpPost("http://192.168.1.100:8080/myapp"); System.err.println("send to server "+s); List formparams = new ArrayList(); formparams.add(new BasicNameValuePair("packet", s)); UrlEncodedFormEntity entity = new UrlEncodedFormEntity(formparams, "UTF-8"); method.setEntity(entity); HttpResponse resp=client.execute(method); String res = EntityUtils.toString(resp.getEntity()); System.out.println(res); } catch (Exception e) { e.printStackTrace(); } } private HttpClient getHttpClient() { if(httpClient==null){ httpClient = new DefaultHttpClient(); } return httpClient; }

  • is DISPID_VALUE reliable for invokes on IDispatchs from scripts?

    - by Georg Fritzsche
    Continuing from this question, i am confused whether DISPID_VALUE on IDispatch::Invoke() for script functions and properties (JavaScript in my case) can be considered standard and reliable for invoking the actual function that is represented by the IDispatch? If yes, is that mentioned anywhere in MSDN? Please note that the question is about if that behaviour can be expected, not what some interfaces i can't know in advance might look like. A simple use case would be: // usage in JavaScript myObject.attachEvent("TestEvent", function() { alert("rhubarb"); }); // handler in ActiveX, MyObject::attachEvent(), C++ incomingDispatch->Invoke(DISPID_VALUE, IID_NULL, LOCALE_SYSTEM_DEFAULT, DISPATCH_METHOD, par, res, ex, err); edit: tried to clarify the question.

  • How do detect that transaction has already been started?

    - by xelurg
    I am using Zend_Db to insert some data inside a transaction. My function starts a transaction and then calls another method that also attempts to start a transaction and of course fails(I am using MySQL5). So, the question is - how do I detect that transaction has already been started? Here is a sample bit of code: try { Zend_Registry::get('database')->beginTransaction(); $totals = self::calculateTotals($Cart); $PaymentInstrument = new PaymentInstrument; $PaymentInstrument->create(); $PaymentInstrument->validate(); $PaymentInstrument->save(); Zend_Registry::get('database')->commit(); return true; } catch(Zend_Exception $e) { Bootstrap::$Log->err($e->getMessage()); Zend_Registry::get('database')->rollBack(); return false; } Inside PaymentInstrument::create there is another beginTransaction statement that produces the exception that says that transaction has already been started.

  • Android XML-RPC Serialization Issue

    - by Josh Pennington
    I am attempting to use Android XML-RPC and for some calls I get the following exception: W/System.err( 837): java.io.IOException: Cannot serialize java.lang.Object@43759748 It looks like it is having troubles serializing the returned data, but I cannot find much documentation on how to actually use Android XML-RPC. The way I am using Android XML-RPC is as follows: Object response = (Object)client.call("sales_order.list", new Object()); This one is pretty odd. I have tried setting this call up in a few different ways (using HashMaps, not passing second variable, etc) and the response I get is that sales_order.list is not a valid Method. I have been able to login to the service using the following code: this.sessionId = (String)client.call("login", this.apiUserName, this.apiPassword); Does anyone have any ideas or a good resource on how to use Android XML-RPC? Thanks

  • iOS Downloading Videos and saving in Application Support folder

    - by Satyam svv
    In my application, i've to download videos around 10 to my application and play accordingly. Each video is around 50 MB. I'm using following code and then after downloading the video, i'm saving it to Application support folder to avoid icloud sync. But the problem is that when downloading the videos its crashing. [NSURLConnection sendAsynchronousRequest:req queue:[[NSOperationQueue alloc] init] completionHandler:^(NSURLResponse *response, NSData *rcvdDat, NSError * err) { . . . } What I'm thinking is that, while downloading the video, it resides in memory and so the total memory occupying by the app is increasing. Finally iOS is making the app to close. I would like to download the video and when ever a stream of data received, write to temp file and when completes move it to application support folder. Can some one help me on how to write it to file and save it at the end? I cannot use 3rd party libraries (unless its small) due to legal issues.

  • Is there a way to force JUnit to fail on ANY unchecked exception, even if swallowed

    - by Uri
    I am using JUnit to write some higher level tests for legacy code that does not have unit tests. Much of this code "swallows" a variety of unchecked exceptions like NullPointerExceptions (e.g., by just printing stack trace and returning null). Therefore the unit test can pass even through there is a cascade of disasters at various points in the lower level code. Is there any way to have a test fail on the first unchecked exception even if they are swallowed? The only alternative I can think of is to write a custom JUnit wrapper that redirects System.err and then analyzes the output for exceptions.

  • Why do I have to give an identifier?

    - by Knowing me knowing you
    In code: try { System.out.print(fromClient.readLine()); } catch(IOException )//LINE 1 { System.err.println("Error while trying to read from Client"); } In code line marked as LINE 1 compiler forces me to give an identifier even though I'm not using it. Why this unnatural constrain? And then if I type an identifier I'm getting warning that identifier isn't used. It just doesn't make sense to me, forcing a programmer to do something unnecesarry and surplus. And after me someone will revise this code and will be wondering if I didn't use this variable on purpouse or I just forgot. So in order to avoid that I have to write additional comment explaining why I do not use variable which is unnecessary in my code. Thanks

The lists have the same type. import java.util.*; public class Test { public static final List<String> highPrio = Arrays.asList("*","/"); public static List<String> ops; public static void main(String[] args) { //ERROR HERE, why do it throw nullPointer? ops.addAll(highPrio); for(String s : ops) { System.out.println(s); } } }

  • need a code snippet to find all *.html under a folder in nodejs

    - by Nicolas S.Xu
    I'd like to find all *.html files in src folder and all its sub folders using nodejs. What is the best way to do it? var folder = '/project1/src'; var extension = 'html'; var cb = function(err, results) { // results is an array of the files with path relative to the folder console.log(results); } // This function is what I am looking for. It has to recursively traverse all sub folders. findFiles(folder, extension, cb); I think a lot developers should have great and tested solution and it is better to use it than writing one myself.
