  • hiding menu on click

    Hi all I am using NullField() in one of my screen so that the default focus should not be on any of the button . but when i am clicking on the screen where no field is there , menu screen is being displayed. i dont want that menu screen to be poped up tough it should open when i click menu button.     I'm looking into writing an Android game, tough I don't curerntly own an Android device. For those of you who own a device, how does the performance on the emulator relate to real device performance? I'm especially interested in graphics related tasks. This obviously depends on both the machine running the emulator, and the specific device in question, but I'm talking rough numbers here.     Hi All, I have some commercial programming experience although it was not my primary role (C# and Java), SCJP 6 cert, some SQL experience and have been doing a lot of Android programming (I have one app with 36,000 downloads). I have a degree in Chemistry and a Diploma in Programming (half a degree made up of 2nd/3rd year uni courses). I'm trying to get my first entry level programmer job but am finding it tough out there.......How did other people get there first jobs in programming?

    Hi, I'm currently understanding one application developed both in visual basic and c#. Running through the code is getting tough as code is around 50KLOC. So i'm planning for generation of AST (abstract syntax tree). Will it be possible to generate for both language together.   • Eclipse Package Explorer Zoom?

    Configuring Eclipse to look exactly how you want is a tough job I've found, therefore I'm not going to attempt to do this myself. I'd like to 'zoom out' of the Package Explorer side bar? You see, I like only having my code on the screen with a small section for the files in the project - however I can never see the full path of the file or package I'm currently in because of this. Is there a way to keep the 'main screen' normal, but zoom out of the Package Explorer by about 50%?

    I am looking forward to move all the logic (which is implemented as manipulating Entity Framework 4 objects) to a server side. It looks going to be simple (thanks to the application structure) and beneficial (as all I have is one oldy laptop as a client and one tough server which runs SQL Server 2008, and building a separate service for the logic can just introduce more latency if compared to doing it inside the database). So how do I correctly use Entities Framework inside a CLR stored procedure and make it using a host-server-provided SqlContext?

I need the first row inserted every day for the past X days. one of my columns is a timestamp, which i hold the time inserted, and another column is the row id.   • Search tool that uses a grammar rather than regular expression?

    Are there any search tools that allow you to set up a simple token/grammar parsing system that work similar to regular expressions? What we want to do is search our ColdFusion code for queries that do not have cfqueryparams in them. A regular expression gets a bit tough in this situation because I can't keep track of the start tags while looking for something else before getting an end tag. It seems like a parsing system would work more accurately.

  • Why do I get Access Denied when using WinRM?

    Following on from this question: Why does my PowerShell script hang when called in PSEXEC via a batch (.cmd) file? I took the advice from Jim B and installed WinRM. To recap I have two servers: HMon01 - runs Windows 2003 Standard SP2 Web1928 - runs Windows 2008 Standard SP2 Both servers are standalone. I installed WinRM for Windows 2003 from here and configured WinRM as follows on both machines: Client NetworkDelayms = 5000 URLPrefix = wsman AllowUnencrypted = false Auth Basic = true Digest = true Kerberos = true Negotiate = true Certificate = true DefaultPorts HTTP = 80 HTTPS = 443 TrustedHosts = * The problem I have is that if I remotely execute commands using the remote machine's built in Administrator account then all is well. However I have an account on the remote machine named remoteexec which is a member of the Administrators group (we disable our Administrator accounts). If I use this account then I get Access Denied errors. I've done all the usual things such as checking passwords and the like. Why would this be?

  • Google Chrome Enterprise - Any Gotchas?

    Has anyone rolled out Google Chrome to a medium / large organisation? I would like to suggest it to our management (because I think it would work very nicely with some of our intranet applications), and I would like to find out what problems (if any) the rest of the world has been experiencing with it. Have you found any problems? I'm thinking of enterprise-level problems. I'm thinking that we can solve anything that requires a specific configuration / proxy setting / etc. I don't really know what I think might be a problem, but I wonder if there are any usability problems that occur when non-geeks use it? Or problems which only rear their ugly heads when you've got 50 users all doing something unexpected. Any helpful information or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks. UPDATED: We tend to use Microsoft stuff, so Sharepoint, IIS, SQL Server, are typical building blocks of internal sites. (Thanks, @Jim, for reminding me to mention that).

  • Accessing multiple local HD's or RAID with ESXi 4.0

    How to I get additional HD's to be recognized and used by ESXi 4.0. When I purchased my system I had two 2TB HD's, but when I installed ESXi it only recognized one of them. I'm happy to get whatever number of drives that I need (I have a four bay SATA in my Dell T310). What are some options? RAID? If so, is it supported. I guess I would need hardware instead of software since ESXi is so small. The VMWare forums (where I've lived for the last two days) are a charlie foxtrot of outdated and conflicting info. I want to utilize my T310, with 32 GB RAM, 2.8GHz quad core to run many lab Windows VM's. I don't need production level availability but I do want decent performance, even though it's in a lab environment. A huge thanks to Jim B., Zypher, Helvick, and Jeff Hengesbach who posted answers to my earlier predecessor question on why ESXi was so sluggish.
