    If I start a REPL and then do something that throws an exception like (use 'non-existent-thing) ** then after that the REPL ceases to evaluate anything I enter. Is there a special key I can press to make it turn round, face me, uncross its arms and listen once more ? Or must I ctrl-d, restart, type everything up to where I was and get it right this time ? ** which results in: Exception in thread "Thread-1" java.lang.RuntimeException: java.io.FileNotFoundException: Could not locate non_existent_thing__init.class or non_existent_thing.clj on classpath: (NO_SOURCE_FILE:0)

  • How can I obfuscate a dll when using a Visual Studio deployment project?

    Hi all, I need to obfuscate a dll that is used in a ASP.NET project, the deployment project pruduces a setup.exe which I want to distribute. I have the VS 2008 Dotfuscator installed but when I build the deployment project the project that creates the dll is rebuilt before it is added to the deployment project and added to the setup.exe. Any suggestions on how I can get round this? Many thanks Lee

    Hi all, I'm writing a Java applet where I should be able to simulate a connection between two hosts. Hence I have to generate packet round-trip times at random. These RTTs can go from ~0 to infinity, but are typically oscillating around some average value (i.e. an extremely large or small value is very improbable but possible).     Well, the rule "For money, always decimal" isn't applied inside the Microsoft development team, because if it was: Namespace: Microsoft.VisualBasic Assembly: Microsoft.VisualBasic (in Microsoft.VisualBasic.dll) Financial.IPmt and all the other methods would receive/return decimal and not double as it is. Now I wonder if I can use this methods without worry with round mistakes? Should I use some other libraries to work with finances? If yes, could you point me some good ones (for C# use) ? Thank you.

    I'm currently using an .htaccess to get round a problem with a CMS, nothing major and an htaccess fix is tidy enough. I'm currently using the format... redirect 301 /pictures.html http://www.domain.com/gallery.html The problem though this causes is that the CMS uses pictures.html?vars=here to select galleries and so the redirect breaks this part of it. Is there any way I can redirect pictures.html but not when it has variables attached?

    I have an ets with the next items: [at, {other_place}, me], [other_place, {place}, {other_place}]], [at, {place}, me], [on, {surface}, {object}], [small, {object}] And I have the list [[at, door, me],[on, floor, chair],[small, bannanas]] I need to compare every item in the ets table to an item in the list and if the first one is the same atom, replace the items in round brackets. So if I have [at, door, me], it matches with [at, {other_place}, me], I have to change {other_place} for the atom door in all the ets table.

  • PHP GD Allowed memory size exhausted

    I'm trying to process a directory of JPEG images (roughly 600+, ranging from 50k to 500k) using PHP: GD to resize and save the images but I've hit a bit of a snag quite early in the process. After correctly processing just 3 images (30K, 18K and 231K) I get a Allowed memory size of 16777216 bytes exhausted PHP Fatal error. I'm cycling through the images and calling the code below: list($w, $h) = getimagesize($src); if ($w > $it->width) { $newwidth = $it->width; $newheight = round(($newwidth * $h) / $w); } elseif ($w > $it->height) { $newheight = $it->height; $newwidth = round(($newheight * $w) / $h); } else { $newwidth = $w; $newheight = $h; } // create resize image $img = imagecreatetruecolor($newwidth, $newheight); $org = imagecreatefromjpeg($src); // Resize imagecopyresized($img, $org, 0, 0, 0, 0, $newwidth, $newheight, $w, $h); imagedestroy($org); imagejpeg($img, $dest); // Free up memory imagedestroy($img); I've tried to free up memory with the imagedestroy function but it doesn't seem to have any affect. The script just keeps consistently choking at the imagecreatefromjpeg line of code. I checked the php.ini and the memory_limit = 16M setting seems like it's holding correctly. But I can't figure out why the memory is filling up. Shouldn't it be releasing the memory back to the garbage collector? I don't really want to increase the memory_limit setting. This seems like a bad workaround that could potentially lead to more issues in the future. FYI: I'm running my script from a command prompt. It shouldn't affect the functionality but might influence your response so I thought I should mention it. Can anyone see if I'm just missing something simple or if there's a design flaw here? You'd think that this would be a pretty straightforward task. Surely this has to be possible, right?

    I am developing an android app in which i have to show map view i have done it once in a previous app but the key i used in the previous is not working int his app . It is just showing a pin in the application with blank screen. Do i have to use a different Map key for each project , If not Kindly help me how can i use my previous Key in this. and also I tried generating a new key but gave the the same key back .   • jQuery find text and replace (or BBcode hack)

    Basically I am attempting to use jQuery so that it will search out text on the page and replace it with something else. For example [x]text[/x] will be converted to text which then gets converted from text to the actual html...a round about way of it I am sure but it seems to be the best way to do it given that the forum seems to understand html as plain texst anyway...but ultimately the goal is to use this jQuery to in a way create new bbcode on the forum.

But the thing is I get numbers like this. 10.8, 2.4 etc. These are not my idea of 2 decimal places so how I can improve this: Math.round(price*Math.pow(10,2))/Math.pow(10,2); I want numbers like 10.80, 2.40 etc. Use of JQuery is fine with me.
