  • clientaccesspolicy.xml not being requested via HTTPS

    I have a silverlight app that has been using http to communicate w/self-hosted WCF services during development. I am now securing the services via https. I am getting an error I had back at the beginning of the project: "An error occurred while trying to make a request to URI 'https://localhost:8303/service'. This could be due to attempting to access a service in a cross-domain way without a proper cross-domain policy in place, or a policy that is unsuitable for SOAP services. You may need to contact the owner of the service to publish a cross-domain policy file and to ensure it allows SOAP-related HTTP headers to be sent. This error may also be caused by using internal types in the web service proxy without using the InternalsVisibleToAttribute attribute. Please see the inner exception for more details." My clientaccesspolicy.xml file is setup to allow access from http://* and https://*. The only difference is using http vs https. The issue is I can usually see (via Fiddler) the clientaccesspolicy.xml file being requested, but now I cannot. I'm assuming it is failing because of this. Any ideas?

  • Cocoa @sum array operator too slow - alternatives?

    I've got a text field value bound to a key path that uses @sum. When the array controller is filtered, the text field updates properly, but extremely slowly, lagging the UI or outright beachballing after every key press (less so as the number of items in arrangedObjects decreases). There is no lag if I don't use @sum; I've narrowed it down to this. Is there a faster way to do the same thing?

  • Is it possible to handle User Defined Exception using JAX WS Dispatch API ?

    Hello, I'm performing dynamic webservices call using following code snippet: JAXBContext jc = getJAXBContext(requestClass, responseClass, jaxbContextExtraClasses); Dispatch<Object> dispatch = service.createDispatch(portQName, jc, Service.Mode.PAYLOAD); Object requestValue = getRequestValue(requestClass, pOrderedParameters); JAXBElement<?> request = new JAXBElement(new QName(serviceQNameStr, pOperationName), requestValue.getClass(), null, requestValue); Object tmpResponse = dispatch.invoke(request); Invocation works perfectly, except if I add a user defined exception on the service (a basic UserException extends java.lang.Exception). First I get: javax.xml.bind.UnmarshalException: unexpected element (uri:"http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/", local:"Fault"). Expected elements are <{http://my.namespace/}myMethod,<{http://my.namespace/}myResponse Then I added the UserException_Exception JAX-WS generated type to my JAXB Context, and then get: Caused by: com.sun.xml.bind.v2.runtime.IllegalAnnotationsException: 1 counts of IllegalAnnotationExceptions java.lang.StackTraceElement does not have a no-arg default constructor. this problem is related to the following location: at java.lang.StackTraceElement at public java.lang.StackTraceElement[] java.lang.Throwable.getStackTrace() at java.lang.Throwable at java.lang.Exception Only solution available I found are: dispatch directly a Soap message and handle Soap fault directly (this is the way Jboss JAX-WS implementation performs a standard JAX-WS call using services interfaces). This is not an available solution for me, I want to use a high level implementation (the more I get close to Soap message the less dynamic my code can be) usage of JAXBRIContext.ANNOTATION_READER, which is implementation specific and not an available solution for me, in order to annotate annotates java.lang.Exception as @XmlTransient The service with a user defined exception performs well using the JAX-WS generated standard client stubs and using a tool such Soap UI. Problem occurs in deserialization of the message when I have no user defined exception artifact in the JAXB context, and during invocation when I add those non JAXB compatible artifacts in the JAXB context. I'm usign Jboss WS webservice stack within Jboss 4.2.3.GA Any elegant solution to this problem is welcomed !

  • Why can't I use WCF DataContract and ISerializable on the same class?

    Hi all, I have a class that I need to be able to serialize to a SQLServer session variable and be available over a WCF Service. "System.Runtime.Serialization.InvalidDataContractException: Type 'BarProxybcb100e8617f40ceaa832fe4bb94533c' cannot be ISerializable and have DataContractAttribute attribute." If I take out the Serializable attribute, the WCF service works, but when the object can't be serialized to session. If I remove the DataContract attribute from class Bar, the WCF service fails saying Type 'BarProxy3bb05a31167f4ba492909ec941a54533' with data contract name 'BarProxy3bb05a31167f4ba492909ec941a54533:http://schemas.datacontract.org/2004/07/' is not expected. Add any types not known statically to the list of known types - for example, by using the KnownTypeAttribute attribute or by adding them to the list of known types passed to DataContractSerializer I've tried adding a KnownType attribute to the foo class [KnownType(typeof(Bar))] But I still get the same error.   • JAX-WS and JPA, how to load stub objects using JPA?

    I'm trying to develope a soap web service that has to access a mysql db. I have to replicate an existing service, so I created all the stub object from it's wsdl file Netbeans created all the necessary stuff for me (new, web service from wsdl), it works ok... Now I'm trying to use JPA to load all those objects from the database. So far I was going fine, I created the classes using (new, entity class from database), and then copied all the annotations to the classes generated by wsimport, and it was working fine. The problem is that netbeans insists on running wsimport again, and then I loose all my annotations... Is there some way to tell netbeans not to regenerate those files? I think this situation shoulb be pretty common, I mean developing a web service from a wsdl and then having to fill those objects with data using JPA. what would be the correct aproach to this kind of situation? thanks a lot saludos sas I've also tried inheriting from the stubs, and addign there the persistence annotations, but I had troubles with overlaping members, I'm redeclaring protected properties...

    I have a query which uses the GROUP_CONCAT of mysql on an integer field. I am using PHPMYADMIN to develop this query. My problem that instead of showing 1,2 which is the result of the concatenated field, I get [BLOB - 3B]. Query is SELECT rec_id,GROUP_CONCAT(user_id) FROM t1 GROUP BY rec_id (both fields are unsigned int, both are not unique) What should I add to see the actual results?

    Hi all, I have a solr instance containing documents which have a 'startTime' field ranging from last month to a year from now. I'd like to add a boost query/function to boost the scores of documents whose startTime field is close to the current time. So far I have seen a lot of examples which use rord to add boosts to documents whom are newer but I have never seen an example of something like this. Can anyone tell me how to do it please? Thanks

  • Call long running operation in WSS feature OnActivated Event

    More specifically - How do I reference SPContext in Web Service with [SoapDocumentMethod(OneWay=true)]? We are creating a feature that needs to run a job when a site is created. The job takes about 4 minutes to complete. So, we made a web service that we can call when the feature is activated. This works but we want it to run asynchronously now. We've found the SoapDocumentMethod's OneWay property and that would work awesomely but the SPContext is now NULL. We have our web services in the _vti_bin virtual directory so it's available in each Windows Sharepoint Services site. I was using the SPContext.Current.Web to get the site and perform the long running operation. I wanted to just fire and forget about it by returning a soap response right away and letting the process run. How can I get the current SPContext? I used to be able to do this in my web service: SPWeb mySite = SPContext.Current.Web; Can I get the same context when I have the [SoapDocumentMethod(OneWay=true)] attribute applied to my web service? Or must I recreate the SPWeb from the url?   • How can I make a server log file available via my ASP.NET MVC website?

    I have an ASP.NET MVC website that works in tandem with a Windows Service that processes file uploads. For easy maintenance of the site, I'd like the log file for the Windows Service to be accessible (to me, only) via the website, so that I can hit http://myserver/logs/myservice to view the contents of the log file. How can I do that? At a guess, I could either have the service write its log file in a "Logs" folder at the top level of the site, or I could leave it where it is and set up a virtual directory to point to it. Which of these is better - or is there another, better way? Wherever the file is stored, I can see that there's going to be another problem. I tried out the first option (Logs folder in my website), but when I try to access the file via HTTP I get an error: The process cannot access the file 'foo' because it is being used by another process. Now, I know from experience that my service keeps the file locked for writing while it's running, but that I can still open the file in Notepad to view the current contents. (I'm surprised that IIS insists on write access, if that's what's happening). How can I get around that? Do I really have to write a handler to read the file and serve it to the browser myself? Or can I fix this with configuration or somesuch? PS. I'm using IIS7 if that helps.

    Hey everyone, I have a java project that I'm working on which was working until a few days ago. I'm not sure what I did to my Eclipse set-up to hose it but now I'm getting a java.lang.ClassNotFoundException when I try to run some code that accesses the google finance api. I've built a small test application that uses the google finance api on its own and that seems to work. So, I think this is a project specific problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated.     Hi! I am enabling a simple HTTP Basic Authentication with Spring security in my project. My environment is an Glassfish Server (bundled with Netbeans), and almost everything works perfect: I have set up it to just ask for authentication with the POST method, with hardcoded users with "user-service", and it works with user names with no special characters. The problem comes when I set up an user with "@" or "."     Hello and thanks for any assistance. I have a wcf service that I'm trying to properly modularize. I'm interested in finding out if there is a better way or implementing the file and directory structure along with instanciatation, is there a more appropriate way of abstraction that I may be missing? Is this the best approach? especially if performance and the ability to handle thousands of simultanious request? Currently I have this following structure: -Root\Service.cs public class Service : IService { public void CreateCustomer(Customer customer) { CustomerService customerService = new CustomerService(); customerService.Create(customer); } public void UpdateCustomer(Customer customer) { CustomerService customerService = new CustomerService(); customerService.Update(customer); } } -Root\Customer\CustomerService.cs pulbic class CustomerService { public void Create(Customer customer) { //DO SOMETHING } public void Update(Customer customer) { //DO SOMETHING } public void Delete(int customerId) { //DO SOMETHING } public Customer Retrieve(int customerId) { //DO SOMETHING } } Note: I do not include the Customer Object or the DataAccess libraries in this example as I am only concerned about the service. It won't be modified even though I would ask them (it's a nation wide system). I've written the client with WCF. By looking at trace I can see that in the response there really is a timestamp element, but in the security section there is only a signature for body. Can I somehow make WCF to ingore the fact Timestamp isn't signed?

  • SharePoint webpart connctions

    Is it possible to have a bi-directional web part connection? I am aware that a web part can be both a provider and a consumer but it seems only one connection is allowed between two web parts. What I am trying to accomplish is a bi-directional connection where a field in web part A can update web Part B and a field in B can update web part A.
