  Hi, I am migrating my db from Interbase to Firebird, and the 1st hiccup we hit comes from our stored proc names. We have a handful of stored procedures with names greater than 31 characters (which appears to be the max in FB 2.1.3) Is there a way to increase this limitation? It will be a far easier solution than modifying our software. Thanks!

Is it possible to add mix both F# and C# files in that project (a library[.dll])? If not possible, whats the best way to use 2 separate service projects, one for C# and one for F# and how would I structure these projects?

  Suppose I have an HTML page with three blocks of fixed width (their height can vary if that's important), like shown on picture: I would like to make it behave as shown on next picture: when browser screen width is reduced so it can't fit all three blocks in one line, first block goes down.   I am trying to get one of my developers set up to work on a fairly large .NETCF project. When we try to simply deploy the solution and all of its projects to a target device, deploying one of the projects triggers several assemblies from the desktop framework to be copied from the GAC to the device. What on earth could cause this? The assemblies from the "big" framework are ones like System.DirectoryServices, System.Design, and a bunch of others.

  i´m having trouble getting i18n to work on heroku. i set: I18n.default_locale = :de in my environment.rb and the translation is in config/locales/de.yml works perfect on my local machines but not so on heroku. on heroku everything is in english. i don´t think i need a special gem like i18n gem, cause i don´t have it on my local machine either. maybe anyone has a solution to this?

  Are there any downsides to UPX-ing my 32-bit Python 2.6.4 development environment EXE/PYD/DLL files? The reason I'm asking is that I frequently use a custom PY2EXE script that UPX's copies of these files on every build. Yes, I could get fancy and try to cache UPXed files, but I think a simpler, safer, and higher performance solution would be for me to just UPX my Python 2.6.4 directory once and be done with it.   I'm trying to call a webservice (implemented with a .NET/ASP system) from groovy/grails using WSClient. I have no trouble accessing this service using the SOAPClient debugger (Todd Ditchendorf's program for OSX), but when i try it via groovy/grails, I get the error undefined simple or complex type 'soapenc:Array' Is there any solution? Looking at it with wireshark: It seems to have thrown this error even before it gets a chance to perform the transaction. The error is thrown right after WSClient has downloaded the second of two schemas referenced in he WSDL.

  What if I have ChangePassword form with hidden ID field of the user. BadPerson knows id of GoodPerson. He opens Change Password form with FireBug, changes his Id to GoodPerson's Id, so password changes for GoodPerson. Of course I can create some server logic that will prevent this, but I think there should be some out of the box solution, wich throws if hidden field been changed, wich I don't know.   Is there a way to disable "eager" validation using the jquery.validate plugin? Either through an option in the script or as a hack? "Eager" validation kicks in once the form has been validated once - after that, invalid fields are validated onfocusout. I want to disable this behavior, and change my forms to only be validated when the submit button is pressed. I don't mind hacking through the validate script itself also, so if that's what the solution requires that's acceptable.

How can I convert my existing criteria query (which has joins using createAlias()) to use a nested select instead?
