  I create a c# class library project named: testVcBuild, then use vcbuild.exe to build the project in the command line like: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio 9.0\VC\vcpackages>vcbuild testVcBuild.csproj "Debug|Win32" the out put shows: Microsoft (R) Visual C++ Project Builder - Command Line Version 9.00.21022 Copyright (C) Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved. Microsoft (R) Build Engine Version 2.0.50727.4927 [Microsoft .NET Framework, Version 2.0.50727.4927] Copyright (C) Microsoft Corporation 2005. All rights reserved. I found that the vcbuild.exe always call the "C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\Csc.exe /noconfig .." the problem is how can I change the Framework version to v3.5? I found my project works fine with the v3.5 but it's broken in the v2.0.50727. I try to use msbuild.exe instead of vcbuild.exe, everything goes well, I just don't understand how can I make it with the vcbuild.exe? win7+vs2005+vs2008 installed.

• Maven multi-module project with many reports: looking for an example

  Is there an open source project that can serve as a good example on how to use the maven site plugin to generate reports? I would prefer it to consist of many modules, possibly hierarchically structured use as many plugins as possible (surefire, jxr, pmd, findbugs, javadoc, checkstyle, you name it) the reports should be aggregated: if some tests fail you want to have a single page that shows all modules with failing tests, not only a gazillion individual pages to check include enterprisey stuff (WAR, EAR etc), but this is not so important. The idea is to have something where you can gather ideas on how it is done and what is possible.

EmleBranches2.0 shows that what I actually did was set it to mirror the SourceForge project. • Not Recieving JSON object into my Zend Controller

• Optimising SQL distance query

  I'm running an MySQL query that returns results based on location. However I have noticed recently that its really slowing down my PHP app. I used CodeIgniter and the profiler shows the query taking 4.2seconds. The geoname table has 500,000 rows. I have some indexes on the key columns, how else can speed up this query? • Problem with extern keyword in C++

  What's the difference between the following two declarations? I thought they were equivalent, but the first sample works, and the second does not. I mean it compiles and runs, but the bitmap display code shows blank. I have not stepped through it yet, but am I missing something obvious? GUI_BITMAP is a simple structure describing a bitmap. This is for VC++ 2005, but I think it fails in VC++ 2008 also. Scratching my head on this one... • ASP.net MVC [HandleError] not catching exceptions.

  In two different application, one a custom the other the sample MVC application you get with a new VS2008 MVC project, [HandleError] is not catching exceptions. In the sample application I have: [HandleError] public class HomeController : Controller { public ActionResult Index() { ViewData["Message"] = "Welcome to ASP.NET MVC!"; throw new Exception(); return View(); } public ActionResult About() { return View(); } } which is just the default controller with an exception being thrown for testing. But it doesn't work. Instead of going to the default error.aspx page it shows the debug information in the browser. The problem first cropped up in a custom application I'm working on which led me to test it with the sample application. Thinking it had something to do with changes I made in the custom application, I left the sample application completely unchanged with the exception (yuck) of the throw in the index method. I'm stumped. What am I missing?

• Why does headless PDE Build omit directories I've specified in build.properties's bin.includes?

  One of my Eclipse plug-ins (OSGi bundles) is supposed to contain a directory (Database Elements) of .sql files. My build.properties shows: bin.includes = META-INF/,\ .,\ Database Elements/ (...which looks right to me.) When I build and run from within my interactive Eclipse IDE, everything works fine: calls to Bundle.getEntry(String) and Bundle.findEntries(String, String, bool) return valid URL objects; my tests are happy; my code is happy. When I build via headless ant script (using PDE Build), those same calls end up returning null. My tests break; my code breaks. I find that Database Elements is quietly but simply missing from my plug-in's JAR package. (META-INF and the built classes still make it in there fine.) I scoured the build log (even eventually invoking ant -verbose on the relevant portion of the build script) but saw no mention of anything helpful. What gives?

• UnitTest++ creates cmd windows, which can't be closed

  Hello, I have a setup for using UnitTest++ like this in VS2008. Sometimes the cmd window, which shows the console output of the unit tests just hangs. I can move the window, resize and stuff, but I'm unable to close it. I see the window in the App tab of the Task Manager, but not in the Process tab, "Switch to process" doesn't work either. Stop debugging or closing VS is also no help, it seems VS has lost control over this window. If this cmd window is lost, I'm unable to shutdown my computer, which is pretty annoying Any hints?

• Is my approach correct to replicate this form with Reportlab?

  I need to generate the form seen here using Python/reportlab. http://www.flickr.com/photos/49740282@N06/4563137758/sizes/o/ I am attempting to do this by creating a custom flowable for the header at the top (with the boxes drawn) and then having a table flowable for the jewelry table below. What shows as the JEWELRY table for this example could potentially be multiple tables. I am having trouble getting my drawn header to "flow". It gets drawn, but then my table data overlays it instead of appearing below it. This is my first project with reportlab. Before I really get into debugging this, I would like to know from someone with reportlab experience if my approach is correct here. Thanks!

• CSS Vertical Spacing Issue (Margin?) - Vertical Space Between Two Divs

  I've got the layout of my site mostly done. On the domain I'm testing this layout on - http://networkgenius.org/ - there is a vertical space separating the content-wrapper div and the menu div. I have the margins set to 0px for the vertical spacing, and this is the only area that is separated like it is. I'd like the white content area to be pressed up right against the bottom of the menu, so that none of the body's background shows between them. What am I doing wrong?

At the moment the page loads a blank picture area and when an accordion menu item is closed it just restarts that menu items picture slider. (So on page load and when all accordions are closed I need it default to an image on the right.) Some of the items only have 1 picture i.e. posture 3 you will notice when you click on it, it shows the image and then goes blank, can it just fade the image in and leave it there if there is only 1 image? • Get "As low as" price for bundle product in Magento

  I'm trying to display a list of bundled products using my custom template. I'm not able to display the dynamic price of the bundle product. Previously for simple products I used: $product->getPrice(); which worked, but it just displays $0.00 for bundle items. looking at ../catalog/products/list.phtml I tried $this->$getPriceHtml($product, true); after extending my block to Mage_Catalog_Block_Product_Abstract I got simple products working again, but bundle products still show $0.00 Is there another way to display the as low as price for dynamic bundle prices? I cleared cache and reindexed and all that good stuff. The price shows up correctly under the default category list, just not under my custom page.

  I have AdventureWorks database mdf file in my VS 2010 project. Is there anyway I can create Membership tables inside my AdventureWorks database. I know I can detach the database attach in SQL SERVER 2008. Create the tables and then detach. But I don't have SQL SERVER 2008 and I want to see if this can be done using command line tool.   how can I do a hierarchical clustering (in this case for gene expression data) in Python in a way that shows the matrix of gene expression values along with the dendrogram? What I mean is like the example here: http://www.mathworks.cn/access/helpdesk/help/toolbox/bioinfo/ug/a1060813239b1.html shown after bullet point 6 (Figure 1), where the dendrogram is plotted to the left of the gene expression matrix, where the rows have been reordered to reflect the clustering. How can I do this in Python using numpy/scipy or other tools? Also, is it computationally practical to do this with a matrix of about 11,000 genes, using euclidean distance as a metric? thanks.

• Visio 2010 Reverse Engineer Oracle

  I have used Visio 2007 in the past to reverse engineer Oracle databases to get a flow scheme. I believe all Office 2007 products were x86 as well which is where I suspect my issue currently lies. I have since upgraded to Visio 2010 x64 and when I go to reverse engineer something from Oracle it shows up under Installed Visio Drivers but I can't seem to create a data source using it. My assumption here is it is because Oracle doesn't play nicely with x64 and with Visio being compiled as x64 I don't even get the option to use it. Has anyone done this with Visio 2010 x64 and Oracle yet? Or are there other tools you would recommend to reverse engineer and get a model such as the one generated by Visio?

  Hi all, I have a problem on Windows Mobile 6.0. I would like to create a TCP connection which does not use the Nagle algorithm, so it sends my data when I call "send" function, and does not buffer calls, having too small amount of data. I tried the following: BOOL b = TRUE; setsockopt(socketfd, IPPROTO_TCP, TCP_NODELAY, (char*)(&b), sizeof(BOOL)); It works fine on desktop. But on Windows Mobile, if I set this value, than I make a query for it, the returned value is 8. And the network traffic analysis shows that the nothing changed. Is there any way to force a flush to my socket?

  I'm trying to find the TextBlock that is inside the control template of a comboBox. using VisualTreeHelpar.GetChildrenCount is working only if the comboBox is declared in XAML.In that case GetChildrenCount returns 1 and a recursive search is possible. However, if I declare the combo as a member of the Window class using code, allocated and setting it to its place, the function GetChildrenCount return 0. When I run snoop in this scenario It shows the combo children hierarchy. I want to be able to search the comboBox just as snoop does. • Tutorials for C# database app

  My question and comments here http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2471198/what-is-ado-net shows my level of knowledge about c# database apps. Can someone point me to tutorials and/or primers that can help me proceed from where I am (also stated in other question)? I've looked and all I've found are tutorials that talk about general db basics (ie, not helping with VS/C#), or talk about connecting to existing SQL db's. I need help setting one up and configuring it, as well as help on how to create and use queries to test the db schema.
