• How to draw QGraphicsItem in a MFC view

  I'm starting using Qt in my application. My application is MFC based. I want to draw some QGraphicsItems in my currect MFC view, is it possible? You may say that it could be done by hosting QGraphicsView with QWinWidget in the MFC view, that don't work, however. Because my Canvas (MFC view) supports zooming and rotating while the QGraphicsView itself don't. When I zooming the QGraphicsItem, the QGraphicsView shows scroll bar instead of enlarging itself. Any suggestion? Thanks!

• Linking to non-home panel in JQTouch site

  I'm trying to create a link from an external site that arrives at a particular, internal panel on a JQTouch site I'm building. However the browser always opens the home panel of the JQT site no matter what anchor tag I use in the link. e.g. If I try to link to the User Interface panel in the official JQTouch demo I use http://www.jqtouch.com/preview/demos/main/#ui but the home panel shows in the browser and not the sub-panel I requested. Any suggestions would be very welcome. I have control of the both the linked and linking sites so can tweak code is necessary. Thanks

  hello everyone. i am using slideshow2 by Aeron Glemann in a website.Does in generate the thumbnails or do i have to provide them?the images iam showing are coming from a cloud, and are passed to the slideshow in an array.the thumbs exist in the cloud. how can i pass them in the array if the show cannot create them? i have used the replace parameter with regex but it shows as thumbnails the full image and nothing happens when i alter the css properties for the thumbnails. the images are displayed. here is the line for the show creation: var myShow = new Slideshow('show', eval(res.value), { controller: true, height: 350,overlap: false, resize: false, hu: '',replace:[/^\S+.(gif|jpg|jpeg|png)$/,'t$1'],thumbnails: true, width: 600}); the value object contains the images from the cloud in format shown below: ['xx.jpg','yy.png',....] thank you very much for your time.

• Problem with MIB_IFTABLE & MIB_IFROW

  Hello there, Im using MIB_IFTABLE & MIB_IFROW to get the no.of bytes transmitted & received. Everything looks fine, and values are correct in case of using WIFI alone. But when i use vpn connection over wifi these values are not correct for wifi adapter, interestingly i'm getting correct values for vpn adapter. And if i see status of any of these adapters(right click and see status), all these values given by windows are correct. here are my questions. 1) is there any other way of getting no.of bytes transferred over adapter? 2) is there a way to tell whether adapter is vpn or not? (as all vpn adapters are shows as Local Area Connection) 3) If you are connected to VPN, is there a possibility of bytes getting transferred through other than this vpn adapter?(forget about split tunneling, consider very simple case) i use vs2005, win7, Im new to these protocols, thanks for any help. -calvin

• Password Protected Wordpress MU

  I have a MU site related to Doctors and they will be publishing information that I cannot let outside sources and robots view. Is there a way that when you go to the main domain url, it shows a user/pass login for WP. I would set up the user/pass in the backend. Then they would login, then be able to view the website? I can't have it load up for anyone, I need the website to be password protected to even view the website in general. I know I can use .htaccess to have a user/pass, but it would be ideal to use the user/pass generated by WP so I don't have to mess with code when I create a user. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  I currently have implemented an overlayitem that shows an icon for geopoint on a map application in Android. When the icon is clicked, it brings up an AlertDialog from the onTap method below. I have the following questions: Does anyone know how to display a map message bubble directly above the icon overlayitem with 2 callout buttons one to the left of the title and one to the right of the bubble? Does anyone know how to make the overlayitem draggable so I can press and hold it and drag it across the map. I am trying to duplicate the draggable icon behavior that's available on the iPhone. If so, please share some sample code. • VS2010 profiler/leak detection

  Anyone know of a profiler and leak detector that will work with VS2010 code? Preferably one that runs on Win7. I've searched here and in google. I've found one leak detector that works (Memory Validator) but I'm not too impressed. For one thing it shows a bunch of menu leaks and stuff which I'm fairly confident are not real. I also tried GlowCode but it's JUST a profiler and refuses to install on win7. I used to use AQtime. It had everything I needed, memory/resource leak detection, profiling various things, static analysis, etc. Unfortunately it gives bogus results now. My main immediate issue is that VS2010 is saying there are leaks in a program that had none in VS2005. I'm almost certain it's false positives but I can't seem to find a good tool to verify this. Memory Validator doesn't show the same ones and the reporting of leaks from VS doesn't seem rational.

  I have a ff extension which creates a popup and shows dynamic data in it. basically when the popup opens a js function is run which then constructs the popup list by appending the items like this var myMenuPopup = document.getElementById("file-popup4"); newItem = document.createElement("menuitem"); newItem.setAttribute("label", namelist[m]); newItem.setAttribute("id", "item" + m); Now I need to have the click functionality too on these newly added menuitems. putting the atttribute and forming the function is easy. I can have a function to be run when they are clicked. But i need to pass namelist[i] to the function and it will act according to the namelist parameter.If i do: newItem.setAttribute("oncommand" , finalclick(namelist[m])); it runs the function everytime the popup opens runs the function without even clicking on it on the other hand if i use quotes i.i if i do newItem.setAttribute("oncommand" , "finalclick(namelist[m])"); it doesnot open even on clicking giving error : namelist is not defined.

For more information, contact your system administrator." When I RDP into the server and try Microsoft CRM Workflow Manager/Monitor with http or https connectivity, it doesn't work. "The specified Microsoft CRM server is not responding. This might happen if it is currently unavaliable, it is not a Microsoft CRM server, or you are not a valid user. Contact your sys-admin." This is a Microsoft CRM v3.0 / Microsoft SQL server 2005 box, Active directory is on a seperate box.. When I right click Microsoft CRM Worlkflow Service, properties, log on: it shows "crmtestuser" and a password. I did not RDP or try logging in as that crmtestuser, but I am Admin... Could this be a clue? What can I try?

  I have a Drupal setup like this: Content type: Apartments Vocabulary: Areas, that can be used with Apartments. Content type: User profile, with a Content Taxonomy Field for Areas so users can select what areas they are interested in. I would like a view that shows all the user profiles that matches the apartments in their area. A "User profile <- Areas <- Apartments" join in other words. I've been mucking around with the views interface for a while but it's not clear to me how the relations can be setup to achieve this. Can someone give me a hint? In case this cannot be easily solved with views, what is a good way of doing it otherwise? Thanks for your help.

  Hello all I am using google maps in my application. I have to show 100 markers on map. First I prepared a markers array from these markers. When markers are added using addOverlay from markers array, it takes some time and they are being added in some animated way (in sequence). I want all of them to get added to map in a single shot, so no flickering effect. I tried MarkerClusterer but it shows a cluster of markers where the need be. Instead I want all the markers to appear, not a cluster. Only they should be added faster. var point = new GLatLng(latArr[i],lonArr[i]); var marker = new GMarker(point,markerOptions); markers[i] = marker; var markerCluster = new MarkerClusterer(map, markers); Any suggestions please? • Why would Silverlight be crashing in Release but not in Debug mode?

  I have a Silverlight App that has worked well in Debug and Release modes for weeks. It still works well in Debug mode. However, now when I run it in Release mode, it starts, shows me the screen, loads the data, then hangs, and the browser (Firefox) closes automatically. I've tried other browsers and each of them crashes, Chrome says "The Silverlight Plug-In has crashed" for instance. Here are the last lines of Output that I get: 'firefox.exe' (Silverlight): Loaded 'System.Windows.Controls' 'firefox.exe' (Silverlight): Loaded 'System.Windows.Controls.Toolkit' 'firefox.exe' (Silverlight): Loaded 'C:\Program Files\Microsoft Silverlight\4.0.50524.0\en-US\mscorlib.debug.resources.dll' 'firefox.exe' (Silverlight): Loaded 'C:\Program Files\Microsoft Silverlight\4.0.50524.0\en-US\System.Windows.debug.resources.dll' The program '[1120] firefox.exe: Silverlight' has exited with code -2147023895 (0x800703e9). How can I get more information about what is happening at the point of crash in Release mode that is not happening in Debug mode?

• Databind List Of Objects To A WinForms DataGridView, But Not Show Certain Public Properties

  I'm not even sure if i'm doing this correctly. But basically I have a list of objects that are built out of a class. From there, I am binding the list to a datagrid view that is on a Windows Form (C#) From there, it shows all the public properties of the object, in the datagrid view. However there is some properties that i still need accessible from other parts of my application, but aren't really required to be visible in the DataGridView. So is there an attribute or something similar that I can write above the property to exclude it from being shown. P.S. Im binding at runtime. So i cannot edit the columns via the designer. P.P.S. Please no answers of just making public variables (Although if that is the only way, let me know :)).

I generate a data set called @orders_yearly in my controller and in my view I have the following to try and render the graph: <%= content_tag :div, "", id: "orders_chart", data: {orders: @orders_yearly} %> Calling @orders_yearly.inspect shows it's just a simple hash: {2009=>1000, 2010=>2000, 2011=>4000, 2012=>100000} I'll need to modify the values for xkey and ykeys in coffeescript to work, but I'm not sure how to make it work with my data set: jQuery -> Morris.Line element: 'orders_chart' data: $('#orders_chart').data('orders') xkey: 'purchased_at' # <------------------ replace with what? ykeys: ['price'] # <---------------------- replace with what? labels: ['Price'] Anyone have any ideas? • emacs23 pops up debugger way too frequently

  Since I've upgraded to Ubuntu lucid and emacs23, Emacs pops up the debugger in situations, where emacs22 does not. For example, when hitting C-c C-c in org-mode, emacs22 simply states can do nothing useful at this location, whereas in emacs23 the debugger shows up. Debugger entered--Lisp error: (error "C-c C-c can do nothing useful at this location") signal(error ("C-c C-c can do nothing useful at this location")) error("C-c C-c can do nothing useful at this location") org-ctrl-c-ctrl-c(nil) call-interactively(org-ctrl-c-ctrl-c nil nil) That only illustrates the pattern -- the behavior is not limited to org-mode. Occurring every 3 minutes, it really annoys me. How can I prevent it? I've already tried to stop this using debug-on-error and stack-trace-on-error: it didn't work.

  The question on validating jpegs on network transfer is very helpful. Could we take this question one step further? What if the image data is incomplete or corrupt from the server? The complete transport works, the MIME type is image/jpeg, the UIImage is constructed and non-nil but the renderer discovers inconsistencies in the data and the log shows "Bad Huffman code" or "premature end of data segment" How would I capture this error before tossing the UIImage into the view context and thereby getting a not-pretty image on the screen? Could I render it to a non-screen context and capture the error?

  Hi there, I want to send an email with an attachment using the following code (Python 3.1) (greatly simplified to show the example) from email.mime.multipart import MIMEMultipart from email.mime.text import MIMEText msg = MIMEMultipart() msg['From'] = from_addr msg['To'] = to_addr msg['Subject'] = subject msg.attach(MIMEText(body)) fp = open(att_file) msg1 = MIMEText(fp.read()) attachment = msg1.add_header('Content-Disposition', 'attachment', filename=att_file) msg.attach(attachment) # set string to be sent as 3rd parameter to smptlib.SMTP.sendmail() send_string = msg.as_string() The attachment object msg1 returns 'email.mime.text.MIMEText' object at ', but when the msg1.add_header(...) line runs the result is None, hence the program falls-over in msg.as_string() because no part of the attachment can have a None value. (Traceback shows "'NoneType' object has no attribute 'get_content_maintype'" in line 118 of _dispatch in generator.py, many levels down from msg.as_string()) Has anyone any idea what the cause of the problem might be? • How do you debug a windows service that is being installed?

  I know how to attach a debugger to a windows service, but I can't seem to get attached to one that's being installed and started by a windows installer. I've tried: Setting a Thread.Sleep(TimeSpan.FromSeconds(30)); at the beginning of the on-start, but when I try to attach in Visual Studio, the name of the service does not appear as an option. This normally works, the service's name shows up in the list, but when using the installer it does not. Setting a Debugger.Break and Debugger.Launch. Neither really do anything. What can I do to debug my service?

• Cookie won't unset

  OK, I'm stumped, and have been staring at this for hours. I'm setting a cookie at /access/login.php with the following code: setcookie('username', $username, time() + 604800, '/'); When I try to logout, which is located at /access/logout.php (and rewritten to /access/logout), the cookie won't seem to unset. I've tried the following: setcookie('username', false, time()-3600, '/'); setcookie('username', '', time()-3600, '/'); setcookie('username', '', 1, '/'); I've also tried to directly hit /access/logout.php, but it's not working. Nothing shows up in the php logs. Any suggestions? I'm not sure if I'm missing something, or what's going on, but it's been hours of staring at this code and trying to debug.

  I have an Alfresco document reference; what I'm looking for is a way to access workflow attached to that document and finish it (or progress it to the next transition) through Javascript. Almost every example on the web shows how to start workflow, and from the dashlet I could call task command processor (/alfresco/command/task/end/[/transition]) if I knew the task ID, but how do I do the same thing from server-side web script starting only from the document reference? There must be a way to access workflows from document and manage them programatically.

• using a texture mesh and wireframe mesh in threejs

  I'm trying to draw a wireframe mesh and a textured mesh in threeJS but when I have both added to my scene the textured mesh doesn't display. Code below: I'm having trouble creating two meshes that share the same geometry where one of the materials is wireframe and the other is a texture. If one of the materials is wireframe and the other is just a color fill it works fine- but as soon as I make the second material a texture it stops working.
