  • How do I use the Google Maps API GPS sensor?

    All I've been able to find is how to specify the sensor parameter: http://code.google.com/apis/maps/documentation/v3/#SpecifyingSensor But nowhere does it say how to actually USE it. Isn't the whole point to be able to get the user's current lat/long coordinates through the device GPS, or am I mistaken?

    I have a project that involves recording data from a device directly into a sql table. I do very little processing in code before writing to sql server (2008 express by the way) typically i use the sqlhelper class's ExecuteNoneQuery method and pass in a stored proc name and list of parameters that the SP expects. This is very convenient, but i need a much faster way of doing this. Thanks.

    Problem: I want to make iPhone OS 2.1 apps, but Xcode now always makes automatically an iPhone OS 3.0 project. I forgot about it and now I have an app which I want to test on my iPod touch, but I need to build OS 2.1. Is there a way to get this working? The dropdown from top left in Xcode only offers to build for OS 3.0 device. However, when I open old projects, there I have OS 2.1 available.

  • UIApplicationExitsOnSuspend anything else I'm missing?

    So I know this has been beaten to death but I still can't figure out a solution. I have my UIApplicationExitsOnSuspend set to <true/> in the Info.plist and still both in the simulator as well as on an iPhone 4 device, the app goes into standby instead of terminating? Any ideas of what else could one do to get it to terminate? Perhaps are there methods that I need to remove from the app delegate? Any ideas?

I'm doing an educational project in which 1) I record voice commands on a separate device and after appropriate processing etc... 2) I send 16-bit samples encapsulated in UDP packets over Ethernet to the PC. After receiving the packets and "extracting" data (samples) from them, I need to assemble the samples to a WAV file. Any example code? Any suggestions? Thank you in advance!

  • Godaddy registrar and Amazon Web Services EC2/Route 53

    Ok - I currently have a site hosted on Godaddy and they are the registrar for my domain. My goal is to have my site hosted on AWS with an EC2 server, which I have already set up and it is ready to go. In order to migrate my domain name to Amazon I have set up an A record with Godaddy and another A record with Route 53 (Amazon's routing service) with both of them pointing to the new static IP of the AWS site. My question is - Godaddy told me that I should leave my nameservers as Godaddy since my email is with them and set up an MX record wit Amazon pointing to it. Does this sound correct? Can you leave nameservers with Godaddy and have A records pointed to the new IP? Are there any benefits/cons to this? *FOR THE RECORD - My site is DOWN right now after doing the change - Godaddy says it will take 2 hours to come back, but I'm not sure if their nameserver recommendation is correct.

    I tested my Xamarin.Forms app on iOS and Android and found this difference when I change the orientation of the mobile device: On iOS, the app keeps the current page On Android, the app seems to restart using the default page (or probably pop all pages except the first one). Since I've never seen this behavior in another Android app, I'd like to disable it. Moreover, I don't think that this behavior is Android default. Which property do I need to set the make the Android target behave as the iOS target?

  • Incorrect rotation of a view controller in iOS 6

    In my app I've been using the now deprecated shouldAutoRotateToFace method. Now when using the iOS 6 simulator, all of my subviews are rotated to portrait orientation while the device is in landscape. Does anyone have any idea what could cause this? I've already tried replacing should autorotate in my main view controller with the supportedOrientations method (or whatever it is that you're now supposed to use instead).

    sorry for my noob question, I'm currently writing a perl web application with sqlite database behind it. I would like to be able to show in my app query results which might get thousands of rows - these should be split in pages - routing should be like /webapp/N - where N is the page number. what is the correct way to query the sqlite db using DBI, in order to fetch only the relavent rows. for instance, if I show 25 rows per page so I want to query the db for 1-25 rows in the first page, 26-50 in the second page etc....   • Responsive width for iPhone

    This is my first time building a responsive site, and as I tailor the CSS for the iPhone I'm running into a problem. The styles all apply correctly, the text changes size and the wrapper changes widths. The problem is the iPhone browser still opens up at a huge width, see the screenshot: I'm using @media all and (max-device-width: 480px) {} to set the specific iPhone css. body {width:;} doesn't work.     Hi, I have 24/7 service which keeps setup (configuration data) for charging, routing and etc in the Sql Server. Once it is started it loads the data from table using Linq2SQL and use the data through all the application. And we need a solution to update the setup data in the table without restarting the application. So I am interested is it possible to catch/determine that the table was updated so I can refresh the setup data in the application. I mean is it possible to have events which will raise when there is any delete, update or insert on the table. Thank you.
