How can I block access to public server IP for OpenSSH in Debian?

I got a Debian server with a public and a private IP in a DMZ. I need to be able to connect to it through SSH on our private side, and then block all access to the public address. Both /etc/hosts.deny and sshd_config seems to only let one block incoming IP addresses. What I really want is to disable SSH connections for the public IP. I've been trying iptables, but I haven't had luck with that neither. Any help is appreciated.

PerformanceCounter.NextValue hangs on some machines.

Pure Server-Side Filtering with RadGridView and WCF RIA Services

Those of you who are familiar with WCF RIA Services know that the DomainDataSource control provides a FilterDescriptors collection that enables you to filter data returned by the query on the server. We have been using this DomainDataSource feature in our RIA Services with DomainDataSource online example for almost an year now. In the example, we are listening for RadGridViews Filtering event in order to intercept any filtering that is performed on the client and translate it to something that the DomainDataSource will understand, in this case a System.Windows.Data.FilterDescriptor being added or removed from its FilterDescriptors collection. Think of RadGridView.FilterDescriptors as client-side filtering and of DomainDataSource.FilterDescriptors as server-side filtering. We no longer need the client-side one. With the introduction of the Custom Filtering Controls feature many new possibilities have opened. With these custom controls we no longer need to do any filtering on the client. I have prepared a very small project that demonstrates how to filter solely on the server by using a custom filtering control. As I have already mentioned filtering on the server is done through the FilterDescriptors collection of the DomainDataSource control. This collection holds instances of type System.Windows.Data.FilterDescriptor. The FilterDescriptor has three important properties: PropertyPath: Specifies the name of the property that we want to filter on (the left operand). Operator: Specifies the type of comparison to use when filtering. An instance of FilterOperator Enumeration. Value: The value to compare with (the right operand). An instance of the Parameter Class. By adding filters, you can specify that only entities which meet the condition in the filter are loaded from the domain context. In case you are not familiar with these concepts you might find Brad Abrams blog interesting. Now, our requirements are to create some kind of UI that will manipulate the DomainDataSource.FilterDescriptors collection. When it comes to collections, my first choice of course would be RadGridView. If you are not familiar with the Custom Filtering Controls concept I would strongly recommend getting acquainted with my step-by-step tutorial Custom Filtering with RadGridView for Silverlight and checking the online example out. I have created a simple custom filtering control that contains a RadGridView and several buttons. This control is aware of the DomainDataSource instance, since it is operating on its FilterDescriptors collection. In fact, the RadGridView that is inside it is bound to this collection. In order to display filters that are relevant for the current column only, I have applied a filter to the grid. This filter is a Telerik.Windows.Data.FilterDescriptor and is used to filter the little grid inside the custom control. It should not be confused with the DomainDataSource.FilterDescriptors collection that RadGridView is actually bound to. These are the RIA filters. Additionally, I have added several other features. For example, if you have specified a DataFormatString on your original column, the Value column inside the custom control will pick it up and format the filter values accordingly. Also, I have transferred the data type of the column that you are filtering to the Value column of the custom control. This will help the little RadGridView determine what kind of editor to show up when you begin edit, for example a date picker for DateTime columns. Finally, I have added four buttons two of them can be used to add or remove filters and the other two will communicate the changes you have made to the server. When I try to publish the contents of the project to a Windows network drive (known as "Z:\" on my system), I get the following LAME exception thrown by Java/Ant: BUILD FAILED C:\workspace\bkeller\build.xml:42: Failed to copy C:\workspace\bkeller\web\assets\text\biography.html to Z:\web\bkeller\assets\text\biography.html due to java.io.FileNotFoundException Z:\web\bkeller\assets\text\biography.html (The system cannot find the file specified) Which kind of sucks. I can't find any way to get rid of this problem and it's pretty crucial to my project that I get this working. I know for sure that I have read/write/execute permissions on the network drive, I can create/edit/delete files on the drive just fine through Windows explorer. Drive Z is a network mount to virtualbox, allowing me to get access to my host OS, Ubuntu. I've double checked that it has write permissions. Any ideas?

Access virtualhosts over LAN (Also in xpmode (Virtual PC))

Hi, I am running Wamp on my computer (the host). I have set up several virtualhosts in apache and they are working fine when I access them from the same computer (host). I have installed Windows XPMode on my computer (which is running windows 7). XPMode (which uses Virtual PC) is set up to use a NAT network. The network in XPMode is working fine, and I can access the host PC via the IP address 192.168.1.5, just as I would if I was using any physical computer on the same network. I can view all the web pages at 192.168.1.5 and it's subdirectories. However, I cannot access any of the subdomains that are configured in the virtualhosts of the host computer. How can I access the subdomains? I don't think that the fact that I am using XPMode and am using a virtualized OS has anything to do with it, but I thought that it was worth mentioning.

ColdFusion 9 Cluster with IIS7.5

Does anyone know of a step by step process of setting up a ColdFusion 9 cluster using IIS 7.5? Either failover or network load balance would be nice. Without IIS being clusterable in Windows 2008 R2, I'm not sure of the best means to configure the web server and ColdFusion service. Some of the things I'm looking for are..... With load balancing, what do you use out in front of the servers as a load balancer? If you're using a network share on a clustered file server for the website data files, how do you configure the ColdFusion service to run so that it has network access instead of running as Local System?

records... i am not able to find any solution /control using which i an do it easily. coz my field's value is in attribute named "Value" when in the examples i saw its between opening and closing tag.. i have 2 methods to do so. 1 . i make one page to edit a single record and pass id of record to that page on editing. open the page in iframe on same page to edit and in page_load get data from database for id passed and fill it in control. 2 . i store xml on server as physical file and use it in page i opened in iframe to edit the record. so i am confused... can anybody please guide me that what shpould i do to let user provide interface to edit this xml data/user profile ?

Flex actionscript extending DateChooser, events in calendar

ExtendedDateChooser class is great solution for simple event calendar used in my flex project. Problem in that calendar is text events are missing when month is changed. Is there updateCompleted event in Actionscript just like in dateChooser flex component? Like in: <mx:DateChooser id="dc" updateCompleted="goThroughDateChooserCalendarLayoutAndSetEventsInCalendarAgain()"</mx> When scroll event is added, which is available in Actionscript, it gets dispatched but after updateDisplayList() is fired, so didn't manage to answer, why are calendar events erased? Any suggestions, what to add in code, maybe override some function? C# Social Networking SDK

I am currently gathering some technology requirements for a site that will be a social network based. I don't want to re-invent the wheel so i am looking for some type of SDK or collection of tools that can provide me with a way of creating/managing a social network. I understand that no framework will probably fit my exact needs so I am also looking for a flexible/extendable framework. An example extension point would be allowing the user to provide sub networks, maybe a global network that could be sub classified as work and friends. Beyond that it would also be nice to somehow be able to import contacts from other networking sites (Facebook, Linked In, etc). My current technology suite will consist of the following: IIS 7.0 WCF Data Services SQL Server 2006 ASP.NET front end. If there is any more information you may need please let me know.

Brute force characters into a textbox in c#

Hey everyone, I am VERY new to programming and the only language I know is C# So I will have to stick with that... I want to make a program that "test passwords" to see how long they would take to break with a basic brute force attack. So what I did was make 2 text boxes. (textbox1 and textbox2) and wrote the program so if the text boxes had the input, a "correct password" label would appear, but i want to write the program so that textbox2 will run a brute force algorithm in it, and when it comes across the correct password, it will stop. I REALLY need help, and if you could just post my attached code with the correct additives in it that would be great. The program so far is extremely simple, but I am very new to this, so. Hi, I have a data class with some fields, one is a URL that I consider the PK, if I add a new item (do a new sync) and save it it should overwrite the item in the database if it's the same URL. Blackberry - Exception when sending SMS programmatically

Hello all, I am developing a Blackberry application. I am trying to send SMS programmatically to GSM number. I have gone through many queries and answers related to that and finally added the code for that as below. When the code tries to execute sending some text message to the particular mobile number, it doesn't send and throws exception as "blocking operation not permitted on event dispatch thread". Problem with TcpListener on Silverlight application

I am writing silverlight 3 application wich si working on network. It works like client-server application. There is WinForm application for server and silverlight application for client. I use TcpListener on server and connect from client to it with Socet. In local network it works fine, but when I try to use it from internet it don't connect to server. I use IP address on local network and real IP with port number for internet version. Where is the problem? Thanks.
