wcf service creating proxy by using svcutil.exe in command prompt?

CUDA: cudaMemcpy only works in emulation mode.

I am just starting to learn how to use CUDA. I am trying to run some simple example code: float *ah, *bh, *ad, *bd; ah = (float *)malloc(sizeof(float)*4); bh = (float *)malloc(sizeof(float)*4); cudaMalloc((void **) &ad, sizeof(float)*4); cudaMalloc((void **) &bd, sizeof(float)*4); ... initialize ah ... /* copy array on device */ cudaMemcpy(ad,ah,sizeof(float)*N,cudaMemcpyHostToDevice); cudaMemcpy(bd,ad,sizeof(float)*N,cudaMemcpyDeviceToDevice); cudaMemcpy(bh,bd,sizeof(float)*N,cudaMemcpyDeviceToHost); When I run in emulation mode (nvcc -deviceemu) it runs fine (and actually copies the array). But when I run it in regular mode, it runs w/o error, but never copies the data. It's as if the cudaMemcpy lines are just ignored. What am I doing wrong? Thank you very much, Jason

Invalid message signature when running OpenId Provider on Cluster

Everything works great when we run the provider on a single node, but when we move the provider to a load balanced cluster where multiple servers are handling requests for each session we get issue with the message signing as the DotNetOpenAuth component seems to be using something unique from each cluster node to create the signature. Hi, I'm trying to integrate ads (admob) into my Android app. It's mostly working, except for one issue with the layout. I would like the gridview to be shorter, so that the ad can fill the bottom portion of the screen, and not hide part of the gridview. The problem is most annoying when you scroll all the way to the bottom of the gridview, and you still cannot fully see the last row items in the grid due to the ad. I'm not sure if this is the standard way that AdMob ads work. If this is the case, adding some padding to the bottom of the grid (if that's possible) would due the trick. That way the user can scroll a bit further, and see the last row in addition to the ad. I just switched from using LinearLayout to RelativeLayout after reading some similar issues with ListViews. Now my ad is along the bottom instead of above the grid, so I'm getting closer. Thoughts? -Kevin

Issue with Autofac 2 and MVC2 using HttpRequestScoped

I'm running into an issue with Autofac2 and MVC2. The problem is that I am trying to resolve a series of dependencies where the root dependency is HttpRequestScoped. When I try to resolve my UnitOfWork (which is Disposable), Autofac fails because the internal disposer is trying to add the UnitOfWork object to an internal disposal list which is null. Maybe I'm registering my dependencies with the wrong lifetimes, but I've tried many different combinations with no luck. The only requirement I have is that MyDataContext lasts for the entire HttpRequest. I've posted a demo version of the code for download here. Java how can I add an accented "e" to a string?

Hello, With the help of tucuxi from the existing post Java remove HTML from String without regular expressions I have built a method that will parse out any basic HTML tags from a string. Sometimes, however, the original string contains html hexadecimal characters like é (which is an accented e). I have started to add functionality which will translate these escaped characters into real characters. You're probably asking: Why not use regular expressions? Or a third party library? Unfortunately I cannot, as I am developing on a BlackBerry platform which does not support regular expressions and I have never been able to successfully add a third party library to my project. So, I have gotten to the point where any é is replaced with "e". My question now is, how do I add an actual 'accented e' to a string? Post Loading ads - using appendChild to move an IFRAME with text link ads

I have changed code around to basically load an add the bottom of the page in a hidden div and attached an onload event handler that called document.getElementById(xxx).appendChild() to take the hidden ad and move it into the right spot in my page. This works GREAT.. however when the ad is a text ad it AFTER i move the ad there is nothing in the rendered Iframe. I did tests to see what it looks like before i move it and sure enough the text links load in the IFRAME but the second i do the appendChild call to move the div that contains the ad i seem to loose the contents of the Iframe. Any way around this??

LINQ 2 SQL: Partial Classes

I need to set the ConnectionString for my DataContext's based on an AppSetting. I am trying to do this by creating a Partial Class for each DataContext. The below is what I have so far and I am wondering if I am overlooking something? Specifically, am I dealing with my DataContext's correctly(disposing, staleness, etc)? Doing it this way will I have issues with Updates and Inserts? Is the file BLLAspnetdb.cs useful or neccessary in the least or should all of that be in the generated partial class AspnetdbDataContext file? NullPointerException with CallableStatement.getResultSet()

Hello, I have a stored proc in SQL Server 2005, which looks like the following (simplified) CREATE PROCEDURE FOO @PARAMS AS BEGIN -- STEP 1: POPULATE tmp_table DECLARE @tmp_table TABLE (...) INSERT INTO @tmp_table SELECT * FROM BAR -- STEP 2: USE @tmp_table FOR FINAL SELECT SELECT abc, pqr FROM BAZ JOIN @tmp_table ON some_criteria END When I run this proc from SQL Server Management Studio, things work fine. However, when I call the same proc from a Java program, using something like: cs = connection.prepareCall("exec proc ?,"); cs.setParam(...); rs = cs.getResultSet(); // BOOM - Null! while(rs.next()) {...} // NPE! I fail to understand why the first result set returned is NULL. Can someone explain this to me? As a workaround, if I check cs.getMoreResults() and if true, try another getResultSet() - THIS time it returns the proper result set. Any pointers please? Java Charset problem on linux

Hi, problem: I have a string containing special characters which i convert to bytes and vice versa..the conversion works properly on windows but on linux the special character is not converted properly.the default charset on linux is UTF-8 as seen with Charset.defaultCharset.getdisplayName() however if i run on linux with option -Dfile.encoding=ISO-8859-1 it works properly.. how to make it work using the UTF-8 default charset and not setting the -D option in unix environment. edit: i use jdk1.6.13 edit:code snippet works with cs = "ISO-8859-1"; or cs="UTF-8"; on win but not in linux String x = "½"; System.out.println(x); byte[] ba = x.getBytes(Charset.forName(cs)); for (byte b : ba) { System.out.println(b); } String y = new String(ba, Charset.forName(cs)); System.out.println(y); ~regards daed

In VS2008, I placed these files in the App_Code folder and intellisense worked fine. What can I do? Is there a specific folder I need to put these files in to get intellisense?

WordPress 'comment is awaiting moderation.' message not appearing when a comment is submitted?

Everything is pretty standard from WP samples, with minor modifications. But when a comment is submitted, it does not show the "your comment is awaiting moderation" message. Why is my html getting mal-formed?

I have the following table in a form that's embedded in a formtastic form (semantic_form_for). Everything I ask to be generated by ruby shows up, but the table gets badly mangled (essentially, the tags NEVER get formed. I don't have a computer science background and only have a rudimentary knowledge of what CS is all about. However, I wonder, what are the most significant CS advances of -say- the last five years. To give you an idea of how clueless I am, I couldn't name one of these advances. But, please don't spare me all the gory details. I'm not looking for an education in CS or a story about the history of CS. As far as this question is concerned: only the past five years matter! :-)

Hi.. By setting the bellow properties we can create the setup file automatically uninstall existing setup and install new setupfile. DetectNewerInstalledVersion:True RemovePreviousVersion:True But each and every setup file we need to change the version property of Setupfile. If it is, it won't through error while installing current setupfile otherwise it throws error: already installed. I am looking into how we can create the setup file without changing the version property of existing setupfile. Thanks.

I have a standard passwd file & a usermap file - which maps unix name (eg jbloggs) with AD account name (eg bloggsjoe) in the format: jbloggs bloggsjoe jsmith smithjohn ... etc. How can I edit the passwd file to swap the original unix name with the AD account name so each line of the passwd file has the AD account name instead. Appreciate any help for a perl learner.
