  Hi All, I downloading table from SQL 2008 using VFP 8.0 (SP1) using command: COPY TO xxx TYPE XLS Some of the data in the excel is disappearing. Example, Table in SQL: Cus(ID int(4), CusNam VARCHAR(35)) When i issue the following command at VFP Forms: (a) COPY TO xxx TYPE FOX2x [Data display correctly as following] *ID CusNam 1 ABC 2 DEF* (b) COPY TO xxx TYPE XLS [2nd Record disappear] *ID CusNam 1 2 DEF* Appreciate for any helps!

• Can't copy files with 'additional permissions' to ext4 drive -- files that have @ after permissions,

  I am copying files from Snow Leopard to a mounted ext4 share via Samba, that's on a Fedora machine. Some files cannot be copied, and give this error: The operation can’t be completed because you don’t have permission to access some of the items. I've noticed that the files that can't be copied have an @ at the end of their permissions whien I do 'ls -l' in the command line. For example, I can copy the second file but not the first: -rwxrwxrwx@ 1 miles staff 1448 May 14 22:55 test.txt -rw-r--r-- 1 miles staff 136 Apr 5 17:06 image.psd.zip From what I've found, the @ means the file has 'additional properties'. Does anyone know how I can resolve this issue so I can copy the files to the fileshare?? Thanks!

• OSX: Python packages fail to install, error message "/usr/local/bin: File Exists"

  I keep trying to install django and other python packages, and I keep getting the exact same error message: Installing django-admin.py script to /usr/local/bin error: /usr/local/bin: File exists So I look to make sure that my /usr/local folder is okay. At first glance it appears okay, until I try cd-ing into my bin. It says it can't because it's not a directory.   I have developed a web application which will be deployed in a LAN environemnt. Clients will be Computers/Android Tablets/IPAD In order for communication between client and local server 1) need to assign a static IP to local server. 2) need a domian name mapping for that IP address in Local environment. 3) router should assign the same static IP if it gets restarted etc. I am using a windows XP machine as Local server OS. Do i need to take care of router configurations before buying one, or all routers will have same capability to perform this task.   I came across many questions on deep copy but non of them helped me I have a class say class A { ... public List<B> ListB; .... } where B is again another class which inturn may inherit/contain some other classes Take this scenario A is a very huge class and contain many reference types I can not mark B as serializable as i don't have access to source code of B(Though I can Mark A as serializable) Problem:below methods to perform deep copy does not work because I can not use Iclonable, memberwise clone technique as class A conatins many reference types I can not write a copy constructor for A , as the class is huge and keeps growing and contained classes (Like B) can't be deep copied I can't use serialization technique as i can not mark conatined class(like B, for which no source code avilaable) as serializable So how can I deep copy the object of Class A? (I read about "surrogate serialization" technique some where but not clear)

  I have a Windows 7 Pro host, and Ubuntu 12.04 LTS guest. I cannot get the shared clipboard working. I have installed Guest Additions 4.1.20 on VirtualBox 4.1.20, have restarted, followed instructions found at http://www.virtualbox.org/manual/ch04.html#idp18411760, and have enabled bidirectional clipboard sharing within VirtualBox options. However, I still cannot copy and paste between the host and guest. Copy/paste works great within the host, and within the guest, but not between the two. I'm out of ideas.

  I have an object with a readonly property that I am trying to implement NSCopying for. It has a mutableArray called "subConditions" (which holds "SubCondition" objects). I have made it readonly because I want callers to be able to change the data in the array, but not the array itself. This worked really well until it was time to write the -copyWithZone: method. After fumbling around a bit, I managed to get something that seems to work. I am not sure if it is the best practice though. • Copying 500GB Data to EC2 Instances Local Drive

  Please do not ask me why (they made me) but I have to copy 500GB data to the local drive every 200 node/instances that I am launching in EC2. For reasons beyond this post, this data must by on the local drive and not EBS drive so I can not benefit from snapshots. What is the fastest way that I can manage to this? Copying from S3 to each node takes a long time. I trying to attached an EBS volume to every node with the data and then copy the data from EBS to the local drive but that also take a long time (several hours_) Now, I am also thinking to use bit torrent but not sure how well it is going to be. What is the best way to copy 500GB of static data to each local drive of 200 ec2 instances? The 500Gb of data is composed several hundred of file with varying size but the biggest file is 20GB.

• VPN Connects with local access only

  I have Windows Server 2008 and I have set up a VPN. When a user logs into their VPN they can not view the internet. It comes up as local access only on the the client PC. On the server when I go to the Network And Sharing Centre it displays (Network) with local and internet below it has the RAS Dial-in interface and it displays as local only there as well. I want all users that connect to my VPN to have internet access (full access). If anyone can help me it would be appreciated. Also I've activated dial-in properties and I've done it via policy who can access the VPN and internet. It still doesn't work, but there is a connection but just local only. Thanks

  I wrote a script in python that was supposed to copy a bunch of files to system32 and then install them through cmd. I can do it manually but I'm trying to make it automatic. This is what I wrote: Import shutil Import os L = ['file1.type', 'file2.type'.... ] dst = "C:\Windows\system32" For f in L: shutil.copy(f, dst) os.system("cmd command yada yada...") And it doesn't work. I tried doing it step by step with idle and it worked fine. All the files are in the same directory as the script. What am I missing here?

  Let's say we have a CCSprite object that has an actions tied to it: -(void) moveJack { CCSpriteSheet *sheet = (CCSpriteSheet*)[self getChildByTag:kSheet]; CCSprite *jack = (CCSprite*)[sheet getChildByTag:kJack]; ... CCSequence *seq = [CCSequence actions: jump1, [jump1 reverse], jump2, nil]; [jack runAction:seq]; } If the sprite crosses over the screen boundary, I would like to display it at opposite side. So, original sprite is half displayed on the right side (for example), and half on the left side, because it has not fully crossed yet. Obviously (or is it), I need 2 sprites to achieve this. One on the right side (original), and one on the left side (a copy). The problem is - I don't know how to create exact copy of the original sprite, because tied actions have scaling and blending transformations (sprite is a bit distorted). I would like to have something like: CCSprite *copy = [[jack copy] autorelease]; so that I can add a copy to display it on the correct side (and kill it after transition is over). It should have all the actions tied to it... Any ideas?

• Vista WHS Client stopped resolving local names

  I’m running Windows Home Server PP2 in my home, with 3 client computers: two XP and one Vista. I have a router that provides my local DHCP and the server has a static IP address. The other day the Vista machine hung, and on reboot stopped resolving local names. It will show the green home server client icon in the system tray, but if I attempt to log in to the console, I get a “This computer cannot connect to your home server” message. If I ping the server name from the command line, it does not resolve, and gives a “could not find host” message. Oddly enough, if I browse the network, I can see the server, but double clicking on it fails. The other machines on the local network have no problems seeing the server, and the Vista machine has no problems resolving names from the internet, it just can’t see any local machines. I’m aware that I can work around this by adding entries to my HOSTS file (it does work), but I’d like this to work the way it’s “supposed” to. I’m an experienced computer user and developer, but not a networking whiz. Can anyone tell me how local name resolution is supposed to work in my environment and/or suggest ways to troubleshoot this? Let's say, I live with 2 other guys in a room, one of us have speakers and we want to collaborate in creating playlists (e.g. everyone is choosing 3 songs to be played). Is it possible? How to do this? I am asking this question on SuperUser, because it (question) is connected with hardware & software (network, connecting computers, software for managing playlists in network etc.). I think it is most accurate place for such question (I have considered SO and SF). [1] And I have already done this!   Hello, I setup my master and slave using FreeBSD. I'm currently running the Bind 9.X version, so far everything is working successfully. Just one small problem. I can't get the master copy of my DNS to transfer it to the slave server. I included transfer-allow {192.168.1.111;}; // this is the slave server's IP I ran the rndc reload command to check but I don't see the copy in the /etc/named/master/? Any help would be appreciated and if you would like the layout of my DNS, I can provide that too.

  How can I reset local CRL (in OS local cash) in Windows OS (XP, Windows 7) manual? We need to reset local CRL because otherwise the OS will use local CRL until "next update" period. As described in "Manually publish the CRL": Clients that have a cached copy of the previously-published CRL or delta CRL will continue using it until its validity period has expired, even though a new CRL has been published. Manually publishing a CRL does not affect cached copies of CRLs that are still valid; it only makes a new CRL available for systems that do not have a valid CRL.
