  • Tegnap délutáni Guru Partin a Proaktív Támogatásról beszéltünk

    - by user552636
Az eloadás három fo témakört ölelt át:      PREVENT / MEGELOZ RESOLVE / MEGOLD UPGRADE / FRISSÍT A PREVENT / MEGELOZ témakörben áttekintettük milyen eszközök támogatják Ügyfeleinket a szoftverek, rendszerek egészségének megorzésében, a hibák/betegségek elkerülésében, a problémák megelozésében A RESOLVE / MEGOLD részben azokat a rendelkezére álló eszközöket, lehetoségeket ismertettük, melyek a  problémák gyors megoldását, a felmerült kérdések gyors megválaszolását segítik  Az UPGRADE / FRISSÍT témában a folyamatos megújulásban, a szoftverek és rendszerek életciklusának megtervezését, ill. naprakészen tartását támogató szolgáltatásokat tekintettük át.          Mindezek az eszközök, lehetoségek termékenként strukturált formában Oracle Premier Support: Get Proactive! [ID 432.1]  My Oracle support cikken belül hozzáférhetoek.

  • Adaptive Case Management Modeling with CMMN by Jessica Ray

    - by JuergenKress
A new version of Oracle BPM Suite 11.1.1.7 with Adaptive Case Management (ACM) is now available, so what will that mean for requirements gathering? BPM project requirements can be documented using Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN 2.0). For ACM, there is a new notation in the works. It is called Case Management Model and Notation (CMMN). For now, this notation isn’t included as a modeling tool in the new version of Oracle BPM Suite 11.1.1.7 with ACM, but it is possible that a modeling tool could be included in a future release. What is CMMN? CMMN is a standard intended to capture the common elements that Case Management Products use, the same way that BPMN is a standard for BPM products (such as Oracle BPM). CMMN is created by the Object Management Group (OMG) and is still in the beta version. In April 2014, OMG released the second beta version the CMMN 1.0, and the most recent version is available here. CMMN captures some of the elements that are commonly used when talking about ACM such as Cases, Milestones, and Tasks. It also introduces some elements that you may not automatically hear when talking about ACM such as Stages, Events, and Decorators. Here is a quick summary at a few (but not all) of the elements of CMMN taken from the CMMN spec. A Few CMMN Elements Read the complete article here SOA & BPM Partner Community For regular information on Oracle SOA Suite become a member in the SOA & BPM Partner Community for registration please visit www.oracle.com/goto/emea/soa (OPN account required) If you need support with your account please contact the Oracle Partner Business Center. • A Huge Opportunity in Small Things

    - by Tori Wieldt
Addressing the strong demand for Java in the embedded market, Oracle is hosting a new Java Embedded @ JavaOne event in San Francisco October 3-4. The event allows decision makers to attend the Java Embedded @ JavaOne business-focused program, while their IT/development staff can attend the technically-focused JavaOne conference. [Obligatory comment about suits & ties vs. jeans & T-shirts removed.] The two-day event includes keynotes, sessions and demonstrations. In his keynote this morning, Judson Althoff, Senior Vice President of Worldwide Alliances and Channels and Embedded Sales, Oracle explained  Devices are all around us - on 24x7, connected all the time. The explosion of devices is the next IT revolution. Java is the right solution for this space. Java embedded solutions provide a framework to  provision, manage, and secure devices.  Java embedded solutions also provide the ability to aggregate, process and analyze multitude of data.  Java is one platform to program them all. Terrance Barr, Java Evangelist and Java ME expert is enthusiastic about the huge opportunity, "It's the right time and right place for Java Embedded," he said, "Oracle is looking for partners who want to take advantage of this next wave in IT." The Embedded space continues to heat up. Today, Cinterion launched the EHS5, an ultra compact, high-speed M2M communication module providing secure wireless connectivity for a wide variety of industrial applications. Last week, Oracle announced Oracle Java ME Embedded 3.2, a complete client Java runtime Optimized for resource-constrained, connected, embedded systems, Oracle Java Wireless Client 3.2, Oracle Java ME Software Development Kit (SDK) 3.2, and Oracle Java Embedded Suite 7.0 for larger embedded devices. There is a huge opportunity in small things.

"To go beyond primitives, you must understand how these services should be used in a much larger architectural context. • Channel-Chat mit Silvia Kaske

    - by A&C Redaktion

    - by user702295
The following applies to ALL Demantra, EBS and Demantra Oracle Integrations: All EBS desktop administrators must disable JRE Auto-Update for their end-users immediately. See this externally-published article:     URGENT BULLETIN: Disable JRE Auto-Update for All E-Business Suite End-Users     https://blogs.oracle.com/stevenChan/entry/bulletin_disable_jre_auto_update Why is this required? If you have Auto-Update enabled, your JRE 1.6 version will be updated to JRE 7.     This may happen as early as July 3, 2012.     This will definitely happen after Sept. 7, 2012, after the release of 1.6.0_35 (6u35).  Oracle Forms is not compatible with JRE 7 yet.  JRE 7 has not been certified with Oracle E-Business Suite yet. Oracle E-Business Suite functionality based on Forms -- e.g. Financials -- will stop working if you upgrade to JRE 7. • Lots of goodies

    - by wcoekaer
We just issued a press release with a number of very good updates for everyone There are a few things of importance : 1) As of right now, Oracle Linux 6 with the Unbreakable Kernel is certified with a number of Oracle products such as Oracle Database 11gR2 and Oracle Fusion Middleware. The certification pages in the Oracle Support portal will be updated with the latest certification status for the various products. As always we have gone through a long period of very comprehensive testing and validation to ensure that the whole stack works really well together, with very large database workloads, middleware application workloads etc. 2) Standard certification efforts for Oracle Linux 6 with the Red Hat Compatible Kernel are in progress and we expect that to be completed in the next few months. Because of the compatibility between OL6 and RHEL6 we can then also state certification for RHEL6. 3) Oracle Linux binaries (and of course source code) have been free for download -and- use (including production, not just trial periods) since day one. You can freely redistribute the binaries, unlike many other Linux vendors where you need to pay a support subscription to even get access to the binaries. We offered both the base distribution release DVDs (OL4, OL5, OL6) and the update releases, such as 5.1, 5.2 etc. this way. Today, in this announcement, we also started to make available the bugfix and security updates released in between these update releases. So the errata streams (both binary and source code) for OL4, 5 and 6 are now free for download and use from http://public-yum.oracle.com. This includes uek and uek2. The nice thing is, if you want a complete up to date system without support, use this, if you then need support, get a support subscription. Simple, convenient, effective. We have great SLA's in producing our update streams, consistency in release timing and testing of all the components. Have at it!

    Fairly exotic it seems to me. We recently upgraded/migrated from Windows Server 2003 to 2008, and now it seems that images cannot be rendered when using Doc.AddImageUrl(). (when the pdf is saved, the images appear at the correct dimensions, but the IE8 missing image x shows up). If I understand correctly, ABCpdf uses IE rendering internally for this sort of thing. We thought it might be a permission issue, but we've check IE ESC and that seems to be configured as they suggest. Has anyone else run into a similar problem? Perhaps a code configuration is needed? Not the entire snippet, but the ABCpdf7 stuff: using (Doc doc = new Doc()) { doc.HtmlOptions.PageCacheEnabled = false; doc.HtmlOptions.UseNoCache = true; doc.HtmlOptions.PageCacheClear(); doc.HtmlOptions.PageCachePurge(); doc.HtmlOptions.UseResync = true; doc.HtmlOptions.ImageQuality = 25; int pageID = doc.AddImageUrl(url + "&guid=" + url.GetHashCode()); while (true) { if (!doc.Chainable(pageID)) break; doc.Page = doc.AddPage(); pageID = doc.AddImageToChain(pageID); } // file saving etc. }

  • iTextSharp Use Link Inside PdfPCell

    - by Baxter
I am able to successfully put a link in the pdf with a friendly name: Anchor anchor = new Anchor("Google", linkFont); anchor.Reference = "https://www.google.com"; doc.Add(anchor); However, I cannot get get the anchor to work within a PdfPCell. Here is what I have tried so far: var memberCell = new PdfPCell(); Anchor anchor = new Anchor("Google", linkFont); anchor.Reference = "https://www.google.com"; memberCell.AddElement(new Anchor(anchor)); That displays the exception: System.ArgumentException: Element not allowed. I also tried: var memberCell = new PdfPCell(); Anchor anchor = new Anchor("Google", linkFont); anchor.Reference = "https://www.google.com"; memberCell.AddElement(new Phrase(anchor)); This does not throw an exception but it isn't a link it is just the word "Google". I am using the newest version of iTextSharp at this time v.(5.4.4.0) Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

  • CGContextDrawPDFPage taking up large amounts of memory

    - by Ed Marty
I have a PDF file that I want to draw in outline form. I want to draw the first several pages on the document each in their own UIImage to use on a button so that when clicked, the main display will navigate to the clicked page. However, CGContextDrawPDFPage seems to be using copious amounts of memory when attempting to draw the page. Even though the image is only supposed to be around 100px tall, the application crashes while drawing one page in particular, which according to Instruments, allocates about 13 MB of memory just for the one page. Here's the code for drawing: //Note: This is always called in a background thread, but the autorelease pool is setup elsewhere + (void) drawPage:(CGPDFPageRef)m_page inRect:(CGRect)rect inContext:(CGContextRef) g { CGPDFBox box = kCGPDFMediaBox; CGAffineTransform t = CGPDFPageGetDrawingTransform(m_page, box, rect, 0,YES); CGRect pageRect = CGPDFPageGetBoxRect(m_page, box); //Start the drawing CGContextSaveGState(g); //Clip to our bounding box CGContextClipToRect(g, pageRect); //Now we have to flip the origin to top-left instead of bottom left //First: flip y-axix CGContextScaleCTM(g, 1, -1); //Second: move origin CGContextTranslateCTM(g, 0, -rect.size.height); //Now apply the transform to draw the page within the rect CGContextConcatCTM(g, t); //Finally, draw the page //The important bit. Commenting out the following line "fixes" the crashing issue. CGContextDrawPDFPage(g, m_page); CGContextRestoreGState(g); } Is there a better way to draw this image that doesn't take up huge amounts of memory?

  • I want to merge two PostScript Documents, pagewise. How?

    - by Peter Miehle
hello, i have a tricky question, so i need to describe my problem: i need to print 2-sided booklets (a third of a paper) on normal paper (german A4, but letter is okay also) and cut the paper afterwards. The Pages are in a Postscript Level 2 File (generated by an ancient printer driver, so no chance to patch that, except ps2ps) generated by me with the ancient OS's Printing driver facilities (GpiMove, GpiLine, GpiText etc). I do not want to throw away two-thirds of the paper, so my idea is: Take file one, two and three, merge them (how?) on new double-sided papers by translate/move file two and three by one resp. two thirds and print the resulting new pages. If it helps, I can manage to print one page of the booklet per file. I cannot "speak" postscript natively, but I am capable of parsing and merging and manipulating files programmaticly. Maybe you can hint me to a webpage. I've read through the manuals on adobe's site and followed the links on www.inkguides.com/postscript.asp Maybe there are techniques with PDF that would help? I can translate ps2pdf. Thanks for help Peter Miehle PS: my current solution: i.e. 8 pages: print page 1, 4 and 7 on page one, 2,5,8 on page two and 3,6,blank on page three, cut the paper and restack. But i want to use a electrical cutting machine, which works better with thicker stacks of paper.

  • Export Multiple Crystal Reports ASP.NET

    - by AProgrammer
Hey all, I want to export 2 different reports when I click an Export button. The problem is the routine only fires once and I only get one report to print out. Am I doing something wrong? I think it has something to do with the HTTPResponse, but I'm not sure. Here's my code: Dim badgeSize As Integer = 0 'Drop Down selection Dim badgeData As New DataSet 'Visitor Badge Data Dim badgeEmployeeData As New DataSet 'Employee Badge Data Dim badgeTotals As Integer = 0 'Totals for both badgeSize = ddlBadgeSize.SelectedValue ' Get Visitor Data badgeData = _DatabaseAccess.GetProjectReportData(sessionInfo.myEventID, sessionInfo.EventCreator) ' Get Employee Data badgeEmployeeData = _DatabaseAccess.GetProjectReportEmployeeData(sessionInfo.myEventID, sessionInfo.EventCreator) 'Obtain Totals badgeTotals = badgeData.Tables(0).Rows.Count + badgeEmployeeData.Tables(0).Rows.Count If badgeTotals = 0 Then ShowMessage("There are no badges to print.") Exit Sub End If If badgeSize.Equals(0) Then 'Small If badgeEmployeeData.Tables(0).Rows.Count > 0 Then If badgeEmployeeData.Tables(0).Rows.Count >= 6 Then PrintProjectBadges(badgeEmployeeData, "Employee", badgeSize) Else PrintStandardDymo(badgeEmployeeData, "Employee", 1) End If End If If badgeData.Tables(0).Rows.Count > 0 Then If badgeData.Tables(0).Rows.Count >= 6 Then PrintProjectBadges(badgeData, "Visitor", badgeSize) Else PrintStandardDymo(badgeData, "Visitor", 1) End If End If else 'do somethign else endif And the Report Code: Private Sub PrintProjectBadges(ByVal theData As DataSet, ByVal badgeType As String, ByVal badgeSize As Integer) Dim ourReport As New ReportDocument Dim crConnectionInfo As New ConnectionInfo(SetCrystalConnection) If badgeSize = 0 Then Try If badgeType = "Visitor" Then ourReport.Load(Server.MapPath("SmallProjectBadge.rpt"), OpenReportMethod.OpenReportByDefault) 'LIVE SERVER USE Else ourReport.Load(Server.MapPath("SmallProjectEmployeeBadge.rpt"), OpenReportMethod.OpenReportByDefault) 'LIVE SERVER USE End If Catch ex As Exception Dim TraceList As New ArrayList TraceList.Add("DBLog") DatabaseAccess.WriteToErrorLog("Visitor Registration", "Printing Project Badges", ex.Message, TraceEventType.Information, 1, TraceList) Exit Sub End Try ourReport.SetDataSource(theData.Tables("Project")) Else 'Do somethign else... End If Response.Buffer = True 'Clear the response content and headers Response.ClearContent() Response.ClearHeaders() SetLogon(ourReport, crConnectionInfo) 'Export the Report to Response stream in PDF format and file name Customers ourReport.ExportToHttpResponse(ExportFormatType.PortableDocFormat, Response, True, "Visitor_Badges") Response.End() 'Response.Close() End Sub Any Help would be much appreciated.

  • CMYK + CMYK = ? CMYK / 2 = ?

    - by Pete
Suppose there are two colors defined in CMYK: color1 = 30, 40, 50, 60 color2 = 50, 60, 70, 80 If they were to be printed what values would the resulting color have? color_new = min(cyan1 + cyan2, 100), min(magenta1 + magenta2, 100), min(yellow1 + yellow2, 100), min(black1 + black2, 100)? Suppose there is a color defined in CMYK: color = 40, 30, 30, 100 It is possible to print a color at partial intensity, i.e. as a tint. What values would have a 50% tint of that color? color_new = cyan / 2, magenta / 2, yellow / 2, black / 2? I'm asking this to better understand the "tintTransform" function in PDF Reference 1.7, 4.5.5 Special Color Spaces, DeviceN Color Spaces Update: To better clarify: I'm not entirely concerned with human perception or how the CMYK dyies react to the paper. If someone specifies 90% tint which, when printed, looks like full intensity colorant, that's ok. In other words, if I asking how to compute 50% of cmyk(40, 30, 30, 100) I'm asking how to compute the new values, regardless of whether the result looks half-dark or not. Update 2: I'm confused now. I checked this in InDesign and Acrobat. For example Pantone 3005 has CMYK 100, 34, 0, 2, and its 25% tint has CMYK 25, 8.5, 0, 0.5. Does it mean I can "monkey around in a linear way"?

  • Website: Make printable version with footnotes?

    - by DavidR
I have a website that uses editable divs so that a user can modify or make notes to a text. Is there a way I can have the website generate a pdf or some printable document with footnotes, such that if a user has this: <div class="text" id="text_1"> <div class="bodyTest">This is the body text</div> <div class="notes">These are the notes</div> </div> <div class="text" id="text_2"> <div class="bodyTest">This is the body text</div> <div class="notes">These are the notes</div> </div> the website will generate a printable version (or document) in such a way thatdiv.notes will appear as a footnote on the same page on which div#text_1 appears? I don't need a full answer, just a shove in the general direction will be amazing. Thanks.

  • [iText] Inserting Image onCloseDocument

    - by David
I'm trying to insert an image in the footer of my document using iText's onCloseDocument event. I have the following code: public void onCloseDocument(PdfWriter writer, Document document) { PdfContentByte pdfByte = writer.getDirectContent(); try { // logo is a non-null global variable Image theImage = new Jpeg(logo); pdfByte.addImage(theImage, 400.0f, 0.0f, 0.0f, 400.0f, 0.0f, 0.0f); } catch (Exception e) { e.printStackTrace(); } } The code throws no exceptions, but it also fails to insert the image. This identical code is used onOpenDocument to insert the same logo. The only difference between the two methods are the coordinates in pdfByte.addImage. However, I've tried quite a few different coordinations in onCloseDocument and none of them appear anywhere in my document. Is there any troubleshooting technique for detecting content which is displayed off-page in a PDF? If not, can anyone see the problem with my onCloseDocument method? Edit: As a followup, it seems that onDocumentClose puts its content on page document.length() + 1 (according to its API). However, I don't know how to change the page number back to document.length() and place my logo on the last page.
