  • Can you create a "superset" target in Xcode ?

    For the purposes of unit testing I'd like to create an iPhone project target in Xcode that includes all of the release application files, plus some additional files containing code useful for UI unit testing. I can do this by duplicating the original application target; however, the problem with this is that every time I add a new source file to the app target, I need to also add it to the UnitTestUI target. It's not a big deal, just inconvenient to always remember to add files to both targets. Is there some way to set up a dependency so that every file added to the original app target is also auto added the unit test target?

  • Combining Multiple SVG Transformations

    I'm new to Snap.svg and SVG and experimenting with transformations (an illustraiting plunk can be found here). Basically I'm trying to move, scale and rotate a shape according to its configuration. This is what I've found out so far: rotating around a point is possible with rotate(angle, x, y) there is no direct transform method to scale around a point but it can be done as described in "SVG Essentials" However combining these transforms doesn't give me the expected result - my expected calculated center of the shape differs from the rendered one. Can anyone give me some pointers on how to correctly put these transforms together? Regards, Andi

    Hi all, Happy New Year to all. I'm a newbie in VB.NET and ASP.NET. This is my problem: I retrieve a list of records from DB and, for every row, I need to show 4 checkboxes. I can use a checkboxlist for every rows, but it's not so clear how I can process the results after the submit. I've some object and some operations available for that object. From database I extract a list of object with all operations. For every operation I want to show a check box to enable or disable the operation. The result is something like that: OBJ1 - url - [] [x] [] OBJ2 - url - [] [x] [x] On url I've an href to another page created using the Id retrieved from DB.     I am writing a simple C# application that is handling bank savings. I want to be able to show the results on either, yearly, monthly or quarterly basic how can this be done? How can I loop through a set of results and only show every third post (if I am using quarterly) for example. In Python I can use range(1,31,3) but how is it done in C#? UPDATE 1 I want to loop 12 times (annually) and calculate the interest each loop but I only want to print the results every third loop (quarterly). How can I achieve this?

  • UIImageView is clipping a pixel of the bottom of my UIImage...?

    I'm not sure what might be causing this, but UIImageView occasionally clips off about a pixel or 2 from the bottom of some square/rectangular UIImages I'm using as subviews for UITableViewCells. These UIImageViews are well within the borders of the cell, so it shouldn't be due to cliptobounds. There seems to be no consistency or pattern to which images are being clipped, nor when they're clipped, other than that it only happens to (or is only noticable in) square/rectangular icons, and only ones that are parented to UITableViewCells (or their subclasses). I'm having trouble reproducing the problem consistently, which is why I haven't posted any code this time. Has anyone encountered something similar to this before? I've encountered a similar bug that involved floating point values for origin/size being interpreted weirdly... but that doesn't seem to be the cause of this particular problem. I don't need a specific solution at this point, I'm just making sure I haven't missed any well-known bugs or documented problems that involve UIImageView.

    Hi, i have simple question may be someone asked it before me but i could not find it.Let say i have datatable that has some data from the database and i want to bind it to a combobox i use standart code like this comboBox1.BeginUpdate( ); comboBox1.ValueMember = "id"; comboBox1.DisplayMember = "name"; comboBox1.DataSource = dt; comboBox1.EndUpdate( ); The problem is during this binding the event SelectedValueChanged is fired.The problem is that rebind combo several times when outher values change and every time i must do sometihn like this comboBox1.SelectedIndexChanged -= new System.EventHandler( this.comboBox1_SelectedValueChanged ); my question is there a smarter way to skip the event when i comes from databinding not from user input.The problem is that i want to do it some how globaly in my control that inherits combobox and not to do it everytime in every from Best Regards, Iordand

    I'm a little confused about which jQuery method and/or selectors to use when trying to select an element, and then remove certain descendant elements from the wrapped set. I tried the following: var $article = $('#article').not('#inset'); but that didn't work, and in retrospect, I think I can see why. I also tried using remove() unsuccessfully. What would be the correct way to do this? Ultimately, I need to set this up in such a way that I can define a configuration array, such as: var selectors = [ { select: '#article', exclude: ['#inset'] } ]; where select defines a single element that contains text content, and exclude is an optional array that defines one or more selectors to disregard text content from. Given the final wrapped set with the excluded elements removed, I would like to be able to call jQuery's text() method to end up with the following text: This is the first paragraph of the article.This is the second paragraph of the article.This is the third paragraph of the article.     Hi there, I want to read a file as fast as possible (40k lines) [Edit : the rest is obsolete]. Edit: Andres Jaan Tack suggested a solution based on one thread per file, and I want to be sure I got this (thus this is the fastest way) : One thread per entry file reads it whole and stocks its content in a container associated (- as many containers as there are entry files) One thread calculates the linear combination of every cell read by the input threads, and stocks the results in the exit container (associated to the output file). One thread writes by block (every 4kB of data, so about 10 lines) the content of the output container.   • I need to debug my BrowserHelperObject (BHO) (in C++ with Visual Studio 2008) after a internet explo

    Hi, here is the situation, i'm developping a Browser Helper Object (BHO) in C++ with Visual Studio 2008, and i learned that the memory wasn't managed the same way in Debug mode than in Release mode. So when i run my BHO in debug mode, internet explorer 8 works just fine and i got no erros at all, the browser stays alive forever, but as soon as i compile it in release mode, i got no errors, no message, nothing, but after 5 minutes i can see through the task manager that internet explorer instances are just eating memory and then the browser just stop responding every time. Please, I really need some hint on how to get a feedback on what could be the error. I heard that, often it was happening because of memory mismanagement. I need a software that just grab a memory dump or something when iexplorer crashes to help me find the problem. Any help is appreciated, I'll be looking for responses every single days, thank you.

    I'm writing a Linux program that currently compiles and works fine on x86 and x86_64, and now I'm wondering if there's anything special I'll need to do to make it work on other architectures. What I've heard is that for cross platform code I should: Don't assume anything about the size of a pointer, int or size_t Don't make assumptions about byte order (I don't do any bit shifting -- I assume gcc will optimize my power of two multiplication/division for me) Don't use assembly blocks (obvious) Make sure your libraries work (I'm using SQLite, libcurl and Boost, which all seem pretty cross-platform) Is there anything else I need to worry about? I'm not currently targeting any other architectures, but I expect to support ARM at some point, and I figure I might as well make it work on any architecture if I can. Also, regarding my second point about byte order, do I need to do anything special with text input? I read files with getline(), so it seems like that should be done automatically as well.

  • chatbot using twisted and wokkel

    I am writing a chatbot using Twisted and wokkel and everything seems to be working except that bot periodically logs off. To temporarily fix that I set presence to available on every connection initialized. Does anyone know how to prevent going offline? (I assume if i keep sending available presence every minute or so bot wont go offline but that just seems too wasteful.) Suggestions anyone?   • Memory leak with ContextMenuStrip

    I'm creating a lot of custom controls and adding them to a FlowLayoutPanel. There is also a ContextMenuStrip created and populated at design time. Every time a control is added to the panel it has its ContextMenuStrip property assigned to this menu, so that all controls "share" the same menu. But I noticed when the controls are removed from the panel and disposed of, the memory in use in Task Manager doesn't drop. It rises around 50kB every time a control is created and added to the layout panel. I downloaded the trial of .NET Memory Profiler and it showed there were references to the menu strip hanging around after the controls were disposed. I changed the code to explicitly set the ContextMenuStrip property to null before disposing of the control, and yep, the memory is now released. Why is this? Shouldn't the GC clean up this type of thing?

    In my app, I use Groovy as a scripting language. To make things easier for my customers, I have a global scope where I define helper classes and constants. Currently, I need to run the script (which builds the global scope) every time a user script is executed: context = setupGroovy(); runScript( context, "global.groovy" ); // Can I avoid doing this step every time? runScript( context, "user.groovy" ); Is there a way to setup this global scope once and just tell the embedded script interpreter: "Look here if you can't find a variable"? That way, I could run the global script once. Note: Security is not an issue here but if you know a way to make sure the user can't modify the global scope, that's an additional plus.

    NOTE: This is a challenging problem for anybody who likes logic problems, etc. Consider a rectangular two-dimensional grid of height H and width W. Every space on the grid has a value, either 0 1 or 2. Initially, every space on the grid is a 0, except for the spaces along each of the four edges, which are initially a 2. Then consider an arbitrary path of adjacent (horizontally or vertically) grid spaces. The path begins on a 2 and ends on a different 2. Every space along the path is a 1. The path divides the grid into two "sectors" of 0 spaces. There is an object that rests on an unspecified 0 space. The "sector" that does NOT contain the object must be filled completely with 2. Define an algorithm that determines the spaces that must become 2 from 0, given an array (list) of values (0, 1, or 2) that correspond to the values in the grid, going from top to bottom and then from left to right. In other words, the element at index 0 in the array contains the value of the top-left space in the grid (initially a 2). The element at index 1 contains the value of the space in the grid that is in the left column, second from the top, and so forth. The element at index H contains the value of the space in the grid that is in the top row but second from the left, and so forth. Once the algorithm finishes and the empty "sector" is filled completely with 2s, the SAME algorithm must be sufficient to do the same process again. The second (and on) time, the path is still drawn from a 2 to a different 2, across spaces of 0, but the "grid" is smaller because the 2s that are surrounded by other 2s cannot be touched by the path (since the path is along spaces of 0).     I'm refactoring a website using MVC. What was a set of huge pages with javascript, php, html etc etc is becoming a series of controllers and views. I'm trying to do it in a modular way so views are split in 'modules' that I can reuse in other pages when needed eg. "view/searchform displays only one div with the searchform "view/display_events displays a list of events and so on. One of the old pages was supposed to load a google map with a marker on it.     I'm using the built-in ajax functionality of MVC2. Basically the user types a search query, and on every key press a set of results for the query is shown. This works fine in almost all cases, but sometimes the server is a bit slow with a single response, and thus the result for the next key stroke is returned before the previous. When the previous key stroke result set is finally returned to the client it will overwrite the results for the newer search query that should actually have been shown. My code follows more or less along these lines: <% using (Ajax.BeginForm("SearchUser", null, new AjaxOptions() { UpdateTargetId = "findUserResults" }, new { id = "findUserAjaxForm" })) {%> Every keystroke submits this form and thus outputs the results in the 'findUserResults' element. How can I prevent older results from being displayed while still making use of the built-in functions provided in MVC2?

  • Codeigniter Image Library Cropping an Image with 2 sets of coordinates to make square anywhere?

    Spending time reading through the docs, and searching for examples. I understand cropping an image from top 0, and left 0 is pretty straight forward. However. I would like to pass 2 sets of coordinates, a starting point and an ending point. Four Points, a Square that is defined anywhere. However from the examples I am finding, and from what I gather the rendition is not going to let me do this. codeigniter so I am seeking confirmation on this thought, is it true that I can only provide end points from 0, and it crops a square based on said end points or can I actually specify an x start, an x end, and similar for y? Or is there some other technique I can use within codeigniter that will allow me to pass for coordinates for starting and ending points?
