• .htaccess not working in subfolder

  Hello, I have a couple of sites that are currently under development and I've put them under a specific subfolder for clients/co-workers to view - "http://dev.staffanestberg.com/site-name/". I've run into some problems getting the sites working with .htaccess. I can reach the index page by typing in the url for a site folder but neither img/style/js/etc linking or page rewriting works. Looking for a solution to this, Apache's "RewriteBase" seems to be the most likely one, however I can't get it to work. Tried RewriteBase http://dev.staffanestberg.com/site-name/ RewriteBase /site-name What would be the correct method? Thanks in advance, -Staffan

• How do I detect a change of tab page in TabControl prior to SelectedIndexChanged event?

  I currently determine what page of a tabcontrol was clicked on via the SelectedIndexChanged event. I would like to detect before the selected index actually changes, for validation purposes. For example, a user clicks a tab page other than the one they are viewing. A dialog is presented if form data is unsaved and asks if it's ok to proceed. If the user clicks no, I'd like to remain on the current tab. Currently I have to remember the previous tab page and switch back to it after an answer of 'no.' I considered MouseDown (and the assorted calculation logic), but I doubt that's the best way. (This is in .NET C# 3.5)

  Hi, I am interested in the current byte position in the stream when parsing something using Antlr 3. I have seen there is a similar question but there was no real answer there. That is why I am trying again. I am not interested in token index, byte position in a line etc... Could you someone tell me that? It is obvious that some code has to be written/overridden. Does someone have specific code to write? I use C#.

  Just wrote some nasty code that iterates over a dict or a list in Python. I have a feeling this was not the best way to go about it. The problem is that in order to iterate over a dict, this is the convention: for key in dict_object: dict_object[key] = 1 But modifying the object properties by key does not work if the same thing is done on a list: # Throws an error because the value of key is the property value, not # the list index: for key in list_object: list_object[key] = 1 The way I solved this problem was to write this nasty code: if isinstance(obj, dict): for key in obj: do_loop_contents(obj, key) elif isinstance(obj, list): for i in xrange(0, len(obj)): do_loop_contents(obj, i) def do_loop_contents(obj, key): obj[key] = 1 Is there a better way to do this? Then inside, I use "", but then I need another level of apix and I dunno how to write that one in my php document.   Im using wamp server for my php scripts. And Im having difficulties on the logout code. Every time I click on the logout link and then click on the back button on web browser it still shows the page which can only be access by the user who is logged in. I have this code at the beginning of the index.php which is called by the log out link to destroy the session: <?php session_start(); session_destroy(); ?> And I have this at the beginning of the user page: <? session_start(); if(!session_is_registered(myusername)){ header("location:login.php"); } ?> I don't know why the userpage can still be access after the user has logged out. So I'm thinking of disabling the back button when the user has logged out. Please help.

• Is it possible to iterate all the OutputCache keys?

  Is it possible to iterate the OutputCache keys? I know you can remove them individually via HttpResponse.RemoveOutputCacheItem(), but is there a way I can iterate all the keys to see what's in the collection? I searched through Object Viewer, but didn't see anything. Worst case, I can maintain my own index. Since I'm doing everything by VaryByCustom, they get "fed" through a method in global.asax. It just strikes me that there has to be a more elegant way of doing this.

Both the servlet and gwt projects have war packaging but I want to have only one war file so I changed the packaging of the gwt project to jar and included it in my servlet project. Now I have a problem understanding how to wire everything together. Do I need to migrate gwt project's web.xml into the main project web.xml file ?   I'm trying to create a foreign key on a table in MySQL and I'm getting a strange error that there seems to be little info about in any of my searches. I'm creating the key with this (emitted from mysql workbench 5.2): ALTER TABLE `db`.`appointment` ADD CONSTRAINT `FK_appointment_CancellationID` FOREIGN KEY (`CancellationID` ) REFERENCES `db`.`appointment_cancellation` (`ID` ) ON DELETE NO ACTION ON UPDATE NO ACTION , ADD INDEX `FK_appointment_CancellationID` (`CancellationID` ASC) ; at which point I get the error: ERROR 1452: Cannot add or update a child row: a foreign key constraint fails (alarmtekcore., CONSTRAINT FK_lead_appointment_CancellationID FOREIGN KEY (CancellationID) REFERENCES lead_appointment_cancellation (`) I've checked here but there's no data in the table.

• 2 sites each in a different country with 1 set of content (cloaking)

  Hi, I have a question re: cloaking. I have a friend who has a business in Canada and the UK. Currently the .ca site is hosted on Godaddy. The co.uk domain is registered (with uk ip address) with domainmonster and is using a cloaked/framed redirect to the .ca site. As a result (my assumption) the .ca site is indexed fine by google, the .co.uk is not. The content is generic for both sites. How do I point the .co.uk site directly to the content independently (preferably without duplicating the content hosting in the UK), so that for instance if the .ca domain was taken away altogether the .co.uk domain would remain an entity in itself from Google's point of view? Does Google index a generic set of content and then associate different country domains with that content? I hope I have explained this ok. Thanks, Greg

  I have a partitioned table InnoDB with several fields. I'm trying to avoid duplicates on insert. Let's say: Field1 int null Field2 int null Field3 int null Field4 int null Field5 int null I have created a UNIQUE index on those fields. I try to insert some records with NULL values and then try to reinsert them with IGNORE feature on MySql. Unfortunately it seems to replicated the records when using NULL values.   All the examples of json I can find online only show how to submit json arrays w/ the jquery command $.ajax(). I'm submitting some data from a custom user control as a json array. I was wondering if it's possible to submit a json array as a regular post request to the server (like a normal form) so the browser renders the page returned. Controller: [JsonFilter(Param = "record", JsonDataType = typeof(TitleViewModel))] public ActionResult SaveTitle(TitleViewModel record) { // save the title. return RedirectToAction("Index", new { titleId = tid }); } Javascript: function SaveTitle() { var titledata = GetData(); $.ajax({ url: "/Listing/SaveTitle", type: "POST", data: titledata, contentType: "application/json; charset=utf-8", }); } Which is called from a save button. Everything works fine but the browser stays on the page after submitting. I was thinking of returning some kind of custom xml from the server and do javascript redirect but it seems like a very hacky way of doing things. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Pandas is returning the DataFrame properly but the underlying timestamp column in my database is being returned as a generic "object" type in Pandas.
