  • DBD::Advantage and 64-bit Perl - Always 6060

    I realize that I am attempting to go beyond the "supported" behavior of the manf's released drivers for perl, after all they have only released it in package with x86 .so's. However, since I cannot use their package with x64 Perl on a RHEL 5.4 x86_64 box, and maintaining a seperate install of x86 perl just for this one package, I have made an attempt to get this puppy working thanks to released 64-bit .so's that accompany other driver packages for Advantage. What I have done to this point: download beta 10 DBI drivers, in 32 download beta 10 PHP extension (it contains 32 and x86_64) copy the required DLLs into the ads-lib location (eg /usr/local/ads/lib64) compile the Perl DBI driver with the path to the lib64's .so's Good compilation, good install, good use. The problem is that I always get : failed: [iAnywhere Solutions][Advantage SQL][ASA] Error 6060: Advantage Database Server not available on specified server. axServerConnect (SQL-HY000)(DBD: db_login/SQLConnect err=-1) Does anyone have any ideas?     I am using autobench for benchmarking in ubuntu 8.10 autobench --single_host --host1 localhost --uri1 /solr/admin --low_rate 20 --high_rate 200 --rate_step 20 --num_call 10 --num_conn 5000 --timeout 5 --file bench1.tsv This is the command which I gave. It is taking the default port as 80 and the number of replies and requests are as shown below **Errors: total 5000 client-timo 0 socket-timo 0 connrefused 5000 connreset 0 Errors: fd-unavail 0 addrunavail 0 ftab-full 0 other 0 Zero replies received, test invalid: rate 20 httperf --timeout=5 --client=0/1 --server=localhost --port=80 --uri=/solr/admin --rate=40 --send-buffer=4096 --recv-buffer=16384 --num-conns=5000 --num-calls=10 Maximum connect burst length: 4 Total: connections 5000 requests 0 replies 0 test-duration 124.976 s** But, I want the port to be 8983. The x and y values are always growing (like a milage counter in a car).     i need to start at a year-month and work out what the date it is in a given week, on a given day within that week.. i.e year: 2009 month: 10 week: 5 day-number: 0 would return 2009-10-25 00:00:00 which is a sunday. Notice week 5, there is no day 0 in week 5 in 2009-10 as the sunday in that logical week is 2009-11-01 00:00:00... so week 5 would always return the last possible date for the given day in the given month.. if you havn't guessed already i'm messing with the c struct TIME_ZONE_INFORMATION (link text) which is pretty crazy if i'm fair... Date math and SQL are something to be admired, sadly its something i have never really dug deep into beyond stripping times. Any help would be greatly appriciated. PS: mssql 2005 btw..

    I am trying to use NHiberanate with NDbUnit but I cannot as NDbUnit tried to load MySql.Data version 1.0.10.1 and NHibernate tries to load version 6.2.2.0 and I can only reference one of them.     Hi What I would like ask is best illustrated by an example, so bear with me. Suppose I have the following table: TypeID Gender Count 1 M 10 1 F 3 1 F 6 3 M 11 3 M 8 I would like to aggregate this for every possible combination of TypeID and Gender. Where TypeID can be 1,2 or 3 and Gender can be M or F. So what I want is the following: TypeID Gender SUM(Count) 1 M 10 1 F 9 2 M 0 2 F 0 3 M 19 3 F 0 I can think of a few ways to potentially do this, but none of them seem particularly elegant to me. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Karl

    hi, My client is facing some deadlocks while using our application. I want to track all the deadlocks for my research and to solve the deadlocks. i am currently run the SQL profiler for the event deadlock graph to capture the deadlock scenario. the actual problem is that the SQL server gets restarted every day at 2 am, and the profiler stops capturing the events after the restart. by the time i come to office at start the profiler at say 10 am, there could be deadlocks which i could have missed between 2 am and 10 am. so i am looking for a way so i can capture the deadlocks without me starting manually. i thought i could use TRACEON(1204,-1) so that the deadlock events get captured in the SQL Server error logs. But i found that the TRACE capturing too gets disabled after the restart. Is there a way i can capture the deadlocks either by SQL profiler or by using TRACEON without me manually starting the capturing? Nikhil

  • Adding Parsekit To An Xcode Project

    I am trying to add the Parsekit framework to my OSX Xcode project. I've never added a 3rd party framework before and I can't get it to work right. I dragged the included Xcode project into my 'Groups & Files' pane and chose to Add it to my project. I then dragged Parsekit.framework underneath the Link Binary With Libraries heading. Then I double-clicked my target app and added Parsekit as a Direct Dependency. I also added libicucore.dylib as a Linked Library (as it says to do this on their site). Finally, in the Build settings tab of my target info I set the Header Search Paths to /Users/path/to/include/directory and the Other Linker Flags to -ObjC -all_load. Running this as a debug build work fine with no errors. However, when I build my app to release and then try to run the executable created, the app fails to load with the following error message: MyApp cannot be opened because of a problem. Check with the developer to make sure myApp works with this version of Mac OS X.   • SSIS DTS Package flat file error - "The file name specified in the connection was not valid"

    I have a pretty basic SSIS package that is attempting to read a file hosted on a share, and import its contents to a database table. The package runs fine when I run it manually within SSIS. However, when I set up a SQL Agent job and attempt to execute it, I get the following error: Executed as user: DOMAIN\UserName. This leads me to believe it's a permissions issue, but every attempt I've made to fix it has failed. What I've tried so far: Run as the SQL Agent account (DOMAIN\SqlAgent) - yields same error. DOMAIN\SqlAgent has "Full Control" permissions on both the share and the uploaded file. Set up a proxy account with a different account's credentials (DOMAIN\Account) - yields same error. Like above, "Full Control" permissions were given over the share to that account. Gave "Everyone" full control permissions over the share (temporarily!). Yielded same error. Manually copied the file to a local path and tested with the SQL Agent account. Worked properly. Added an ActiveX script task that would first copy the remotely hosted file to a local path, and then have the DTS package reference the local file. Gave a completely nondescriptive (even by SSIS standards) error when trying to run the script. Set up a proxy account, using my own personal account's credentials - worked correctly. However, this is not an acceptable solution as there are password policies in place on my account, as well as being a bad practice to set things up this way in general. Any ideas? I'm still convinced it's a permissions issue. However, what I've read from various searches more or less says giving the executing account permissions on the share should work. However, this is not the case here (unless I'm missing something obscure when I'm setting up permissions on the share).

    I know that mySQL 5.x does not support INTERSECT, but that seems to be what I need. Table A: Products (p_id) Table B: Prod_cats (cat_id) - category info (name, description, etc) Table C: prod_2cats (p_id, cat_id) - many to many prod_2cats holds the many (1 or more) categories that have been assigned to Products (A). Doing a query/filter lookup, (user interactive) and need to be able to select across multiple categories the products that meet ALL the criteria. Ex: - 80 products assigned to Category X - 50 products assigned to Category Y - but only 10 products (intersect) are assigned to BOTH cat X AND cat Y This sql works for one category: SELECT * FROM products WHERE p_show='Y' AND p_id IN ( SELECT p_id FROM prods_2cats AS PC WHERE PC.cat_id =" . $cat_id ." <-$cat_id is sanitized var passed from query form . I can't seem to find the means to say ' give me the intersect of cat A and cat B' and get back the subset (10 records, from my example) Help!

  • Sorting an array of Doubles with NaN in it

    This is more of a 'Can you explain this' type of question than it is anything else. I came across a problem at work where we were using NaN values in a table, but when the table was sorted, it came out in a very strange, strange manner. I figured NaN was mucking up something so I wrote up a test application to see if this is true. This is what I did. static void Main(string[] args) { double[] someArray = { 4.0, 2.0, double.NaN, 1.0, 5.0, 3.0, double.NaN, 10.0, 9.0, 8.0 }; foreach (double db in someArray) { Console.WriteLine(db); } Array.Sort(someArray); Console.WriteLine("\n\n"); foreach (double db in someArray) { Console.WriteLine(db); } Console.ReadLine(); } Which gave the result: Before: 4,2,NaN,1,5,3,NaN,10,9,8 After: 1,4,NaN,2,3,5,8,9,10,NaN So yes, the NaN some how made the sorted array to be sorted in a strange way.   • Paging enormous tables on DB2

    We have a view that, without constraints, will return 90 million rows and a reporting application that needs to display paged datasets of that view. We're using nhibernate and recently noticed that its paging mechanism looks like this: select * from (select rownumber() over() as rownum, this_.COL1 as COL1_20_0_, this_.COL2 as COL2_20_0_ FROM SomeSchema.SomeView this_ WHERE this_.COL1 = 'SomeValue') as tempresult where rownum between 10 and 20 The query brings the db server to its knees. I think what's happening is that the nested query is assigning a row number to every row satisfied by the where clause before selecting the subset (rows 10 - 20). Since the nested query will return a lot of rows, the mechanism is not very efficient. I've seen lots of tips and tricks for doing this efficiently on other SQL platforms but I'm struggling to find a DB2 solution. In fact an article on IBM's own site recommends the approach that nhibernate has taken. Is there a better way?

  • Quickest and easiest way to implement speech to text conversion for a small speech subset.

    Hi, I want to implement a system that receives speech through a microphone on my Mac OS x. I know arbitrary speech recognition is close to impossible without training the system so I'm willing to restrict it to 10 simple sentences. It must recognize with a high degree of accuracy which of these 10 sentences are being spoken, generate the text and add an entry to a remote MySQL database. With these being the architecture of the system I want to implement, could anyone give me an overview of what would be the best way to go about implementing this system? I'm looking for ideas like open source libraries to minimize the coding as this is just a prototype application for a demonstration. Basically I'm looking for a quick and easy solution. Thanks!

    Hi! My simple donation form submits properly except for Internet Explorer. I'm sure it has to do with issues with change() and focus() or blur(), but all my hundreds of attempts so far have failed me. I tried using .click() instead of change() as mentioned in this post:http://stackoverflow.com/questions/208471/getting-jquery-to-recognise-change-in-ie (and elsewhere), but I could not get it to work! ... so I am overlooking something simple perhaps.   • ESX3.5 Cluster & MD3000i -- Both servers see iSCSI Targets, Only one server can use partition.

    Alright. First and foremost, Warning. This is a bigger-then-normal question. I like to be thorough and try to eliminate all possible "easymode" answers, as well as give everyone a feel of what i've tried. I've included several images of our setup and the problem it is having.. TLDR Version: So I've followed the guides located here: ESX Deployment Guide V1 this is the guide Dell has sent me to setup two ESX3.5 servers mounting a Dell MD3000i. It doesn't work. Both servers can't use the same storage partition on the MD3000. Both servers see it, but only one server can actually use it. (that server being whatever server created the partition on the target.) Both ESX servers are members of the Host Group. Full Version I have 2 ESX3.5 Servers (10.0.7.102, also called EPI2, and 10.0.7.103, also called EPI3.) connected to a iSCSI SAN Device (Dell MD3000i). Both ESX servers can "scan" the SAN and see the LUNS. Part One: MD3000i Storage On the MD3000i, Both servers are in my host group. I have two partitions, VM1 and VM2, both 1.6TB (vmware doesn't like anything past 2tb.) And you can even see that the ESX servers are targetting the MD3000 just fine. Part Two: The ESX Servers Figure 1. So as you can see above, Both ESX Servers (10.0.7.102 and 10.0.7.103) are able to see and scan the MD3000i SAN. Figure 2. Above is the storage both servers see. I created the storage partition on EPI2 (102). I then Extended the partition to include the second LUN for a grand total of 3.27 TB of storage. When i "rescan" on 103 (the server not mounting the partition), I get the below log in log/messages. Removing partition on 102, Formatted partition on 103 instead. Same result, except flipped. 103 can use storage, 102 can not. Starting Over. Removing all iSCSI Targets on both ESX Boxes, disabling iSCSI, turning off the firewall for iSCSI, rebooting ESX. Then on the MD3000, Removed the Host Group, Removed the Host-to-Virtual Mappings, Restarted the SAN. Followed the Documentation again, same result. Both servers see the storage, but only one server can use it. Disabling and Re-enabling VMware DRS and HA. Same result. Flat-out turning off VMware DRS and HA, and doing the "start over" step to see if maybe that borked it. Same Result. I'm kinda loosing my mind here, Everything i read online says "just partition it and if the ESX boxes can see the targets, it just works".... well crap. Any ideas, any other things to try? Can anyone atleast point me in the right direction? I'm really tired of working from 1am til 4am (our maintenance hours)
