Can anyone suggest a non java replacement for SQL Server Management Studio for OSX?
I currently use Parallels in Crystal mode and run SSMS, but it seems like there should be something better.
I need to display the selecteditems in a label
I am using VB 2005
I set the selection mode to multi-extended
It did work selecting only one item with the following code:
me.xresultslabel.text= me.xlisttextbox.text.selectedItem.tostring
But when I tried to display more than one item using the following code:
me.resultlabel.text= me.xlisttextbox.text.selectedItems, I get the following string on the label:
system.windows.forms.listbox+selectedobjetcollections.
any help will be highly appreciate
I have a table view and want to allow rearranging of all cells, however there are certain cells that i do not want to be allowed to be deleted. when the UiTableView is put into deletion mode i do not want the red '-' button to appear on the left hand side, and do not want the swipe gesture to bring up the Delete button of these cells but want it to happen for the others. Any ideas?
I notice something strange happens to one of my view controller: the back button disappears, yet it's possible to go back to previous view controller by tapping the top left corner (i.e where the button should reside).
In my entire file there's no line that set self.navigationItem.hidesBackButton to YES; also NSLog prints 0 as self.navigationItem.hidesBackButton's value in viewDidLoad.
This occurs in both the simulator and real device. Any ideas?
In order to fully understand and take advantage of the new features and enhancements provided with the coming of the new .NET Framework 4.0, I would like to get an example of real-world application of the Code Contracts.
Anyone has a good example of application of this feature?
I would like to get a code sample with a brief explanation to help me get up and running with it.
Thanks! =)
At MIX it was announced that WCF RIA Services supports OData Endpoint on the server now. But is there a good way to use a real OData Server in the WCF RIA Services Tooling as an endpoint or is that just an option for the team to say that are supporting the standard, too?
I noticed that some enumerations have "None" as a enumeration member.
For example what I mean
enum Mode
{
Mode1 = 1,
Mode2 = 2,
Mode3 = 3,
None = 4
}
Why do they use it ? In what cases solution with a none member is more preferable (less preferable) ?
I'm using global constants, like this:
/project
/application
bootstrap.php
/public
index.php
index.php
defines PUBLIC_PATH and APPLICATION_PATH
calls APPLICATION_PATH . bootstrap.php
bootstrap.php
defines LIBRARY_PATH, MODULES_PATH, TEMP_PATH, CONFIG_PATH, ...
does real work
Also i want to ask if there is better way to do this?
Currently I have a TabHost implemented with 3 tabs each containing a separate activity. My question is how do I switch between tabs from within one of the activities that is located inside the tab host. I've looked everywhere and have been unsuccessful in finding a real answer to this problem.

In my web.config I have the following:
<customErrors mode="RemoteOnly" defaultRedirect="/error.aspx"/>
When an error occurs, the user is redirected to /error.aspx?aspxerrorpath=/somepage where I can get user's name, name of the page, date, but... I can't get the error message!
I can get it via the OnException method, but then I won't be able to get the name of the page which is very important for me.
How can I get both the page and the error message?
What is the most straightforward way of making dictionary or list from a string in Python? Let's say I have string "{ 'x' : 3, 'y' : 4 }" and I want to parse it to a real dictionary object.
In development mode I would like to have assets served locally and when deployed in production I would like them served from the CDN. Anyone using play2 and serving content from CDN be willing to share how they are doing it?
// Thinking of something like this in the routes file...
@if(play.Play.isDev()) {
GET /assets/*file controllers.Assets.at(path="/public", file)
} else {
GET CDNPATH/assets/*file controllers.Assets.at(path="CDNPATH", file)
}
(Note: using 2.0.2 because of the headers fix https://github.com/playframework/Play20/pull/276)
I have a column defined like this:
<DataGridTextColumn Binding="{Binding Path=FileSizeBytes, Mode=OneWay}" Header="Size" IsReadOnly="True" />
But instead of displaying the file size as a big number, I'd like to display units, but still have it sort by the actual FileSizeBytes. Is there some way I can run it through a function or something before displaying it?
I'm using C# and probably .Net compact framework. How should I design mobile news reader (RSS, Atom...).
What are risks I should be aware before I start?
What libraries are there to help me read and parse data and synchronize it when going from offline mode?
Hy,
I was looking for a software to model an application, because is becoming too big.
Like this:
Class - A
Methods - a, b, c, d, e
Class - B
Methods - a, b, c, d, e
This should be in graphical mode, Classes are some boxes, and the methods are in the box.
Then I would like to be able to make a arrow from one method to another.
Do you know some good software?
thanks
hi
I have created an application in VStudio. It ran nicely in debugging mode, but my computer became slower and slower as I worked until it finaly became frozen.
after I manualy restarted it, the app wasn't running any more in debug and I get this execption in the browser.
Only I am connected right now to the app.
I have restarted the computer so there coudn't be any instance of a client connected
I have removed and reinstalled the IIS
what is wrong?
This doesn't need to be a real time solution, but are there some log files or system messages that could be read to identify periods of time where someone was connected via RDP to a Windows 7 machine?
I'm building a watchdog script for a computer which will be deployed in a remote place and would like to add this metric to a daily status update.
I have taken enough cs courses to know that I'm not interested in hardware. I'm much more interested in programing for the web.
Now, I'm nearing the end of my degree, and I'm presented with the option to take some higher level EE courses than the intro I took freshman year. Are there any real-world-job-boosting reasons I should take more EE course? Any courses in particular that people think would be helpful?
I am noting this strange behavior where one of my fields -- receive_empresa_test_info -- has worked fine though it's always been referred to as receive_empresa_info. In Functional Tests, though, the real field name is receive_empresa_test_info. What is going on here? Might this be some part of the Rails environment that I'm missing during testing?
I started off with C in school, went to Java and now I primarily use the P's(Php, Perl, Python) so my exposure to the lower level languages have all but disappeared. I would like to get back into it but I can never justify using C over Perl or Python. What real-world apps are being built with these languages? Any suggestions if I want to dive back in, what can I do with C/C++ that I can't easily do with Perl/Python?
My debugger does not work when I start project in debug mode.
But when I set checkbox
Allow the source code to different from the original version.
Debugger works. But solution not wokrs properly. For example for files with build action "Content" and Copy to outputDirectory to "Copy if newer" does not copy to bin/Debug
Is anybody know the solution?
I asked a question like this in an interview for a entry level programmer:
var instance1 = new myObject{Value = "hello"}
var instance2 = instance1;
instance1.Value = "bye";
Console.WriteLine(instance1.Value);
Console.WriteLine(instance2.Value);
The applicant responded with "hello", "bye" as the output.
Some of my co-workers said that pointers are not that important anymore or that this question is not a real judge of ability.
Are they right?
