  When I write in my terminal, java -jar myJar.jar, it gives me an error "Resource Not found res/playNow.png" When I run it in eclipse, it does not give me any errors about this image. My folder in my eclipse is outside my package called res and inside it are images.   I've setup Juju on a local VM inside VMWare running on Mac OSX. • How do you fix "failed command: IDENTIFY DEVICE" showing up in dmesg?

  I just got a new Mushkin 60gb SSD, and it's now my primary drive in the ata1 spot. I've been getting these failed command: IDENTIFY DEVICE errors which are preventing rebooting and shutdown. Does anyone know what these could be caused by, or how to start troubleshooting? I've tried these kernels: 2.6.32-22-generic 2.6.31-17-generic And they both have the same error.   One week ago Microsoft SQL Server 2012 finally debuted with a virtual launch event and you can find many intro sessions there (20 minutes each). There is a lot of new content available if you want to learn more about SQL 2012 and in this blog post I’d like to provide a few link to sessions, documents, bits and courses that are available now or very soon. First of all, the release of Analysis Services 2012 has finally released PowerPivot 2012 (many of us called it PowerPivot v2 before this official name) and also the new Data Mining Add-in for Microsoft Office 2010, now available also for Excel 64bit! And, of course, don’t miss the Microsoft SQL Server 2012 Feature Pack, there are a lot of upgrades for both DBAs and developers. I just discovered there is a new LocalDB version of SQL Express that can run in user mode without any setup. Is this the end of SQL CE? But now, back to Analysis Services: if you want some tutorial on Tabular, the Microsoft Virtual Academy has a whole track dedicated to Analysis Services 2012 but you will probably be interested also in the one about Reporting Services 2012.   While working on my 2D tile based game, I encountered a problem. I use Perlin Noise to generate the terrain. Some biomes (Desert, Forest, etc) have different flatness values depending on terrain, which causes the end/start of a new biome to have a big cliff because the terrain is different. When 2 biomes have the same flatness, they are fine, but if they are different, this can happen. Is there any way to keep this from happening? Example (In programmer art)

First I was thinking it was an April Fools joke about the song Blue from Eiffel 65 but it has been 4 days already. I tested on another 2 PCs, same problem. It started about a week ago I think. I am using Flash 11.2.202.228 with Firefox 11. The problem is not there if I use Google Chrome. In Chrome the Flash Player is 11.2.31.118

• Finding rows that intersect with a date period

  This one is mainly a personal reminder but I hope it helps somebody else too. Let's say you have a table that covers something like currency exchange rates with columns for the start and end dates of the period each rate was applicable. Now you need to list the rates that applied during the year 2009. For some reason this always fazes me and I have to work it out with a diagram. So here's the recipe so I never have to do that again: select  * from    ExchangeRate where   StartDate < '31-DEC-2009'         and EndDate > '01-JAN-2009'   That is all!

  2010. május 12-én jelent meg a következo cikk az Oracle-rol és Larry Ellisonról (az Oracle CEO-ja): Special Report: Can That Guy in Ironman 2 Whip IBM in Real Life?. Larry szerepel az Iron Man 2 c. filmben is, ahogyan korábbi blogbejegyzésemben már írtam róla: Larry Ellison is szerepel az Iron Man 2 c. filmben, a nyúlfarknyi 3 másodperces szerepben önmagát alakítja. A következokben a cikkbol idézek. "...Sun under Oracle should be larger than Sun ever was", azaz a Sun az Oracle kezében sokkal jobban fog muzsikálni, mint korábban önállóan. "He added that he expects profit from Sun's operations to boost Oracle's earnings in the current quarter, which ends May 31.", azaz Larry már a két hét múlva végetéro pénzügyi negyedévben is profitot remél a Sun termékekbol.
