I would like to print a data frame where the columns are center aligned. Below is what I have I tried, I thought printing the data frame test1 would result in the columns being aligned in the center but this is not the case. Bash script to find a directory, list it's contents and sub-folders info

Hi I want to write a script that will: 1- locate folder "store" on a *nix filesystem 2- move into that folder 3- print list of contents with last modification date 4- calculate sub-folders size This folder's absolute path changes from server to server, but the folder name remains the same always. There is a config file that contains the correct path to that folder though, but it doesn't give absolute bath to it. Sample Config: Account ON DIR-Store /hdd1 Scheduled YES ?According to the config file the absolute path would be "/hdd1/backup/store/" I need the script to grep the "/hdd1" or anything beyond the word "Config-Store", add "/backup/store/" to it, move into folder "store", print list of it's contents, and calculate sub-folders size. Until now I manually edit the script on each server to reflect the path to the "store" folder. Controlled hyperlink hijaxing

I am working on a web application. I have a data grid with a 'commands' column that has hyperlinks for some common CRUD operations (Edit, Delete, etc). When a user clicks on say the Edit hyperlink, I retrieve the unique identifier for the data grid row and load a modal form dialog (i am using jQuery UI) so the user is able to edit the row data and subsequently close the modal form dialog at which point I refresh the page. Now, before the page is done refreshing, there's a chance that a user might click on the edit link again, and whenever that happens, 'hijaxing' fails. My question is how can i check that if a user clicks on a hyperlink and the page is refreshing, i delay until it is done refreshing, then i allow the 'hijax' to kick in.

CSS working in IE, but not FF

MYSQL sum() for distinct rows

I'm looking for help using sum() in my SQL query (not posting full query since the scenario is fairly simple). I have COUNT(DISTINCT conversions.id) in my query. I use DISTINCT because I'm doing "group by" for multiple columns and this ensures the same row is not counted more than once. Now I want to add: SUM(conversions.value) as conversion_value The problem is that the "value" for each row is counted more than once (due to the multiple group bys) I basically want to do SUM(conversions.value) for each DISTINCT conversions.id. Is that possible?

Efficient method of finding database rows that have one or more qualities from a list of seven qualities

Hello! For this question, I'm looking to see if anyone has a better idea of how to implement what I'm currently planning on implementing (below): I'm keeping track of a set of images, using a database. Each image is represented by one row. I want to be able to search for images, using a number of different search parameters. One of these parameters involves a search-by-color option. (The rest of the search stuff is currently working fine.) Images in this database can contain up to seven colors: -Red -Orange -Yellow -Green -Blue -Indigo -Violet Here are some example user queries: "I want an image that contains red." "I want an image that contains red and blue." "I want an image that contains yellow and violet." "I want an image that contains red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet." And so on. Users make this selection through the use of checkboxes in an html form. They can check zero checkboxes, all seven, and anything in between. I'm curious to hear what people think would be the most efficient way to perform this database search. I have two possible options right now, but I feel like there must be something better that I'm not thinking of. (Option 1) -For each row, simply have seven additional fields in the database, one for each color. Each field holds a 1 or 0 (true/false) value, and I SELECT based on whatever the user has checked off. (I didn't like this solution so much, because it seemed kind of wasteful to add seven additional fields...especially since most pictures in this table will only have 3-4 colors max, though some could have up to 7. So that means I'm storing a lot of zeros.) Also, if I added more searchable colors later on (which I don't think I will, but it's always possible), I'd have to add more fields. (Option 2) -For each image row, I could have a "colors" text field that stores space-separated color names (or numbers for the sake of compactness). Then I could do a fulltext match against search through the fields, selecting rows that contain "red yellow green" (or "1 3 4"). But I kind of didn't want to do fulltext searching because I already allow a keyword search, and I didn't really want to do two fulltext searches per image search. Plus, if the database gets big, fulltext stuff might slow down. Any better options that I didn't think of? Thanks! Side Note: I'm using PHP to work with a MySQL database.

hi I have a page that has two dropdownlists(one for the locations, and the other for departments), an employee search textbox and a button. On the other page, I have a gridview. Now, what i want to archieve is that when a user types an employee's name in the textbox control, selects a location from the location dropdownlist, and a department from the departments dropdownlist, and click the button(search), the gridview on the other page must show the reqiured information of a SINGLE employee. Only one row must show. I have created a database for the employees. I know how to do this with the autopostback but i have not tried it using a button's click. NB: the gridview should show only one row of a selected employee. I'm using ASP.NET VB Your help will high apprecaited.

I have a table with 4 columns, and I need to check to see if a Column Pair exists before inserting a row into the database: INSERT INTO dbo.tblCallReport_Detail (fkCallReport, fkProductCategory, Discussion, Action) VALUES (?, ?, ?, ?) The pair in question is fkCallReport and fkProductCategory. For example if the row trying to be inserted has fkCallReport = 3 and fkProductCategory = 5, and the database already has both of those values together, it should display an error and ask if they would like to combine the Disuccsion and Action with the current record. Keep in mind I'm doing this in VBA Access 2010 and am still very new.

why does InnoDB keep on growing without for every update?

I have a table which consists of heavy blobs, and I wanted to conduct some tests on it. I know deleted space is not reclaimed by innodb, so I decided to reuse existing records by updating its own values instead of createing new records. But I noticed, whether I delete and insert a new entry, or I do UPDATE on existing ROW, InnoDB keeps on growing. Assuming I have 100 Rows, each Storing 500KB of information, My InnoDB size is 10MB, now when I call UPDATE on all rows (no insert/ no delete), the innodb grows by ~8MB for every run I do. All I am doing is I am storing exactly 500KB of data in each row, with little modification, and size of blob is fixed. What can I do to prevent this? I know about optimize table, but I cant do it because on regular usage, the table is going to be 60-100GB big, and running optimize will just stall entire server.

I have a page, lets call it SourceTypes.aspx, that has a a GridView that is displaying a list of Source Types. Part of the GridView is a DataKey, SourceTypeID. If source TypeID is passed to the page via a query sting, how to I put the Gridview into Edit mode for the appropriate row based on the SourceTypeID? The GridView is bound to a SQlDataSource object. I have a feeling I am going to kick myself when the answer appears!! I have looked at Putting a gridview row in edit mode programmatically but it is some what lacking in specifics

Flash Builder 4 "includeIn" property causing design view error

I am creating a custom TextInput component that will define an "error" state. I have extended the TextInput class to change the state to "error" if the errorString property's length is greater than 0. In the skin class, I have defined an "error" state, and added some logic to detect the size and position of the error icon. However, if I have this code at the same time I use the "includeIn" property in the bitmap image tag, I get a design view error. If I either A) Only include that code with no "includeIn" property set, it works or B) dont include the code to set the icon size and position and only use the "includeIn" property, it works. Any ideas what could be causing the design view problem when I use both the "includeIn" property and the icon size/position code at the same time? I created a db row called "activity_state" to denote which things a user has and hasn't completed. The problem is, I don't know how to use it... How can I use this single row to determine what a user has done? ie. have they completed their profile?, have they completed an assignment? Someone mentioned using it as a bitfield, but I'm unfamiliar with that. Is that a good idea? Any ideas?

Have anyone ever create/manipulate a table application from the ground up/scratch? I want to create a table using flash AS 3. I like to have the features like to the MS Studio Web Developer option. The options are create a table, merge cells, split cell, resize columns, delete cell, delete row, delete column etc... I think this is going to be very complicated thing to do. I think the only way to do it is to build it from the ground up because I don’t think Flash has the library/component for it. I was able to create rows and columns by creating the # of rectangles listed it from the left to the right and move the next coordinate for the next row. Now the most challenging this is to manipulate it. This is the must have feature on my website and we don’t want use Javascript to create table on the server side to create the table.
