• WCF. Https on basicHttpBinding

  Hello, colleagues. I've written wcf service. Unfortunality I have to use basicHttpBinding for php callers. But I need securtiy. So I've decided use transport security with https. I host it at my IIS 6.0. I enable ssl at IIS and assign Certificate. But when I try open it through browser i get standard error. What's wrong. Please help. • How to log into a salesforce.com sandbox?

  I took over a Rails app and am trying to get the Salesforce.com API credentials set up for my user account. I'm set as a system admin with "Developer Mode" on (though I have no clue what that does, I just saw it set on the previous account.) We have a sandbox. I click the login link on it, enter my sandbox username ([email protected]), enter my password, and get "Login attempt has failed". I know my password is okay since I've logged into the production site several times. Using different domains (test.salesforce.com, etc) doesn't help either.

  Hi guys. I'm working through examples from a book on php/mysql development. I'm working on a linux/apache environment. I've set up a database and a user. I attempt to connect with this line of code: $db_server = mysql_connect($db_hostname, $db_username, $db_password); I get this error: Warning: mysql_connect() [function.mysql-connect]: Access denied for user 'www-data'@'localhost' (using password: YES) in /var/www/hosts/dj/connect.php on line 3 unable to connect to database: Access denied for user 'www-data'@'localhost' (using password: YES) I can only guess what is happening here: I think www-data is a username for apache. Upon the database connection, the credentials being passed in to mysql are not those of my database user, but rather apache's own credentials. Is that what is happening here? How do I pass in the credentials I've defined for my user ?

• Issue Passing NSMutableDictionary to Method

  Hello all, I'm trying some basic iPhone programming -- all has been going well but recently I've hit a bit of a roadblock. I've got a chunk of code that's passing an NSMutableDictionary (amongst other things) to a method in another class: [self.shuttle makeAPICallAndReturnResultsUsingMode:@"login" module:@"login" query:credentials]; The NSMutableArray credentials is previously defined a bit above as such: NSMutableDictionary *credentials = [[NSMutableDictionary alloc] init]; [credentials setObject:username forKey:@"username"]; [credentials setObject:password forKey:@"password"]; The method that receives it looks like such: -(id)makeAPICallAndReturnResultsUsingMode:(NSString *)mode module:(NSString *)module query:(NSMutableDictionary *)query From debugging I have determined that the code works fine up until this point within the above method: [query setObject:self.sessionID forKey:@"session_id"]; At this point, the application terminates -- the Console informs me of this exception: * Terminating app due to uncaught exception 'NSInvalidArgumentException', reason: '* -[NSCFDictionary setObject:forKey:]: method sent to an uninitialized mutable dictionary object' This leads me to believe that I must initialize NSMutableDictionary in some way in my new method before I can access it, but I have no idea how. Any advice?

  I've written a simple Java applet to generate a technical image based upon some data in a CSV file. I'm passing in the CSV file as a parameter to the applet: <applet code = "assaymap.AssayMapApplet" archive = "http://localhost/applet_test/AssayMap.jar" height="600px" width="800px"> <param name="csvFile" value="http://localhost/applet_test/test.csv"> </applet> As far as I understood applet security restrictions, an applet should be able to read data from the host they're on. These applets here http://www.jalview.org/examples/applets.html are using the same approach of passing in a text data file as a parameter. So I'm not sure why my own applet isn't working. The error message I get thrown is: Error with processing the CSV data. java.security.AccessControlException: access denied (java.io.FilePermission http:\localhost\applet_test\test.csv read)

• Form based authentication in java

  I want to know how can I enable form based authentication in java through database. After connecting to database, how can I verify whether the username and password, which I'm entering through html page is correct or not? Do I have to change action servlets from j_security_check to another my own defined servlets, which will connect to database and do all its verification on its own? Or I've to send authentication information to j_security_check, which will automatically connect to database, verify username and password. I'm successful in connecting to database through context.xml file, which is in META-INF directory of my own web application, but I'm not able to understand what's more I've to do enable form based authentication. I'm using Tomcat 6 as web server.

• MS Office SharePoint Server 2007 UI language change

  There is an existing app in MOSS, which allows to create polls for a call center, operators fill them out as they call targeted customers. Then this Web app outputs the results of this poll. Is it possible to change the interface language of this existing web app? Operators don't understand English. If it's not about language packs, it would still be easier for me to embed new names and labels, rather than rewrite in a system I am not familiar with. Also, is it possible to change the authentication type from Windows authentication to regular username/password check (username and password will be stored in DB or somewhere only for this site) If it is possible, can you direct me to some kind of tutorial, help or manual which would show how to do it? On MSDN it's written that language can't be changed, but I'm not sure whether it's about the Web app language. Thank you.

• having issue while making the client calls persession in c# wcf

  1.) I have a main method Processing, which takes string as an arguments and that string contains some x number of tasks. 2.) I have another method Status, which keeps track of first method by using two variables TotalTests and CurrentTest. which will be modified every time with in a loop in first method(Processing). 3.) When more than one client makes a call parallely to my web service to call the Processing method by passing a string, which has different tasks will take more time to process. so in the mean while clients will be using a second thread to call the Status method in the webservice to get the status of the first method. 4.) when point number 3 is being done all the clients are supposed to get the variables(TotalTests,CurrentTest) parallely with out being mixed up with other client requests. 5.) The code that i have provided below is getting mixed up variables results for all the clients when i make them as static. If i remove static for the variables then clients are just getting all 0's for these 2 variables and i am unable to fix it. Please take a look at the below code. • The remote server returned an error: (400) Bad Request - uploading less 2MB file size?

  The file succeed to upload when it is 2KB or lower in size. The main reason why I use streaming is to be able to upload file up to at least 1 GB. But when I try to upload file with less 1MB size, I get bad request. It is my first time to deal with downloading and uploading process, so I can't easily find the cause of error. • Save File to Sharepoint Server using JAX-WS

  I'm trying to save a file to a Sharepoint server using JAX-WS. The web service call is reporting a success, but the file doesn't show up. I used this command (from a WinXP) to generate the Java code to make the JAX-WS call: wsimport -keep -extension -Xnocompile http://hostname/sites/teamname/_vti_bin/Copy.asmx?WSDL I get a handle on the web service which I called port using the following: CopySoap port = null; if (userName != null && password != null) { Copy service = new Copy(); port = service.getCopySoap(); ((BindingProvider) port).getRequestContext().put(BindingProvider.USERNAME_PROPERTY, userName); ((BindingProvider) port).getRequestContext().put(BindingProvider.PASSWORD_PROPERTY, password); } else { throw new Exception("Holy Frijolé! The FieldInformationCollection object named fields contains only one FieldInformation. The FieldInformation object has "HelloWorld.txt" as the value for displayName, internalName and value. The type property is set to FieldType.FILE. The id property is set to (java.util.UUID.randomUUID()).toString(). The call to copyIntoItems returns successfuly; copyIntoItemsResult contains a value of 0 and the only CopyResult object set in copyResultCollection has an error code of "SUCCESS" with a null error message. When I look into the "Tech Docs" library on Sharepoint, in the "Sub Folder" there's no file there. Why wouldn't it tell me what I did wrong? Did I just miss a step? Update (Feb 26th, 2011) I've changed my FieldInformation object's displayName and internalName properties to be "Title" as suggested. Still no joy, but a step in the right direction. After playing around with the urls for a bit, I got these results: With both the sourceUrl and the only destination URL equivalent, with no protocol, I get the SUCCESS response but no actual document appears in the document library. With both of the URLs equivalent but with an "http://" protocol specified, I get an UNKNOWN error with "Object reference not set to an instance of an object." as the message. With the source URL an empty string or null, I get an UNKNOWN error with " Value does not fall within the expected range." as the error message.

  I'm trying to use file_get_contentsO() to get the response from a server and this error was encountered. Could someone tell me what is the reason and how to fix it? The portion of the code is: $api = "http://smpp5.routesms.com:8080/bulksms/sendsms?username=$username&password=$password&source=$source&destination=$destin&dlr=$dlr&type=$type&message=$message"; $resp = file_get_contents($api); The server responded correctly while I pasted the url in the browser. I learned that this is caused by the server rejecting the client's HTTP version, but I have no idea why that is happening in my case. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks in advance

• Ignore certificate errors when requesting a URL in Java

  I'm trying to print a URL (without having a browser involved at all) but the URL is currently throwing the following: javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeException: sun.security.validator.ValidatorException: PKIX path building failed: sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathBuilderException: unable to find valid certification path to requested target I'm calling the URL using a JEditorPane's setPage method, which just takes a URL as a parameter. Assuming I can't change anything server side and I still need to get to this resource, how would I go about ignoring the certificate error (or something else that gets me to my goal)? Accessing this URL via a browser tells me the site is untrusted and asks me if I want to proceed.

• Change My.Settings ConnectionString in runtime?

  I have a ClickOnce deployment where i have a INI-settings file on the network file with "global" settings that is supposed to affect the program on all client computers. The problem i have is that i whant to have the Database connectionString stored in this INI file and have it read and stored in the My.Settings ConnectionString at program startup. How do i do this? The ConnectionString setting is Application scoped and therefore Read-Only, if i try to set it by My.Settings("ConnectionString") = "Source=server;Initial Catalog=database;Integrated Security=True" I get a runtime error: An error occurred creating the form. See Exception.InnerException for details. The error is: The type initializer for 'DB_lib.DB_LINQ' threw an exception. [EDIT] I got rid of the error by using the My.Settings("ConnectionString") = "Source=server;Initial Catalog=database;Integrated Security=True" in another place then the the eventtriggerd settingsLoaded method i created.. The problem is that even though the connectionstring semes to be the right, the program still connects to the "default" database that is typed in to the app.config file??

  Hello, I'm using Data Pump to export/import data, one requirement is to import data to a sql file. The OS is window. I made the follow export : expdp system/password directory=dpump_dir dumpfile=tablesdump.dmp content=DATA_ONLY tables=user.tablename and it works, I can see the file TABLESDUMP.DMP in the directory path. then when I tried to import it to a sql file: impdp system/password directory=dpump_dir dumpfile=tablesdump.dmp sqlfile=tables_export.sql the log show : ..... ORA-31655 no data or metadata objects selected for job ..... and the sql file is created empty in the directory path. I'm not DBA, I'm a Java developer , Can you help me? Thks

  Hi, I'm populating a listview with a list of databases on a selected SQL instance, then retrieving a value from each database (It's internal product version, column doesn't always exist) I'm calling the below function to populate the second column of the listview: item.SubItems.Add(DBVersionCheck(serverName, database.Name)) Function DBVersionCheck(ByVal SelectedInstance As String, ByVal SelectedDatabase As String) Dim m_Connection As New SqlConnection("Server=" + SelectedInstance + ";User Id=sa;Password=password;Database=" + SelectedDatabase) Dim db_command As New SqlCommand("select Setting from SystemSettings where [Setting] = 'version'", m_Connection) Try m_Connection.Open() Return db_command.ExecuteScalar().trim m_Connection.Dispose() Catch ex As Exception 'MessageBox.Show(ex.Message) Return "NA" Finally m_Connection.Dispose() End Try End Function This works fine except it's creating a connection to each database and leaving it open. My understanding is the close()\dispose() releases only the connection from the pool in ado rather than the actual connection to sql. How would I close the actual connections after I've retrieved the value? Leaving these open will create hundreds of connections to databases that will probably not be used for that session.

What I'm writing to disk (so I can later read it back) is all user profiles inserted in a Graph structure. My questions: After reading this I decided to use fwrite() on each element instead of writing the whole structure. I also avoid writing the pointer to to the mailbox as I don't need to save that pointer. So, is this the way to go? Multiple fwrite()'s instead of a global one for the whole structure? Isn't that slower? How do I read back this content? I know I have to use fread() but I don't know the size of the strings, cause I used strlen() to write them. I could write the output of strlen() before writing the string, but is there any better way without extra writes?
