    Google Chrome Version 22.0.1229.79 on OS X 10.8.2 How can I get just a plain blank page as my home page, not just a list of "Most Visited" sites or "Apps" installed, please?   • treeview binding wpf cannot bind nested property in a class

    Hi all New to wpf and therefore struggling a bit. I am putting together a quick demo before we go for the full implementation I have a treeview on the left with Continent Country City structure when a user select the city it should populate some textboxes in a tabcontrol on the right hand side I made it sort of work but cannot make it work with composite objects. In a nutshell can you spot what is wrong with my zaml or code. Why is not binding to a my CityDetails.ClubsCount or CityDetails.PubsCount?     I would like to align two alignment characters between two align blocks so that I can have some text in the middle of a derivation with equations maintaining the horizontal alignment.   • Using Java PDFBox library to write Russian PDF

    Hello , I am using a Java library called PDFBox trying to write text to a PDF. It works perfect for English text, but when i tried to write Russian text inside the PDF the letters appeared so strange. It seems the problem is in the font used, but i am not so sure about that, so i hope if anyone could guide me through this. Here is the important code lines : PDTrueTypeFont font = PDTrueTypeFont.loadTTF( pdfFile, new File( "fonts/VREMACCI.TTF" ) ); // Windows Russian font imported to write the Russian text. font.setEncoding( new WinAnsiEncoding() ); // Define the Encoding used in writing. // Some code here to open the PDF & define a new page. contentStream.drawString( "??????? ????????????" ); // Write the Russian text. The WinAnsiEncoding source code is : Click here --------------------- Edit on 18 November 2009 After some investigation, i am now sure it is an Encoding problem, this could be solved by defining my own Encoding using the helpful PDFBox class called DictionaryEncoding. I am not sure how to use it, but here is what i have tried until now : COSDictionary cosDic = new COSDictionary(); cosDic.setString( COSName.getPDFName("Ercyrillic"), "0420 " ); // Russian letter. font.setEncoding( new DictionaryEncoding( cosDic ) ); This does not work, as it seems i am filling the dictionary in a wrong way, when i write a PDF page using this it appears blank.     Hi, I've got a script that changes the background colour of text that has been selected. However i'm encountering an issue when the text is selected across multiple elements/tags. The code that i've got is: var text = window.getSelection().getRangeAt(0); var colour = document.createElement("hlight"); colour.style.backgroundColor = "Yellow"; text.surroundContents(colour); And the error being output is: Error: The boundary-points of a range does not meet specific requirements. = NS_ERROR_DOM_RANGE_BAD_BOUNDARYPOINTS_ERR Line: 7 I believe this is to do with the getRange() function though i'm not too sure how to proceed since I am a beginner at javascript. Is there any other way I can replicate what I am trying to achieve? Many thanks.

    i want to submit the text from jeditable, store it in the database and then i don´t want to render the updated text back to jeditable field, i want to update the whole div in which the jeditable field (and maybee other text fields) is. f.e. i change the username via jeditable inplace editor, then i store the changes in the db and now i want to update the complete div which contains the username (in place editor) and also other divs, cause after the username changes, the email changes, too.

But I am still suck on this one: My code is: StreamReader reader = new StreamReader(fDialog.FileName.ToString()); string content = reader.ReadToEnd(); reader.Close(); I am reading in a text file and I want to search for this text and change it (the X and Y value always follow each other in my text file): X17.8Y-1. But this text can also be X16.1Y2.3 (the values will always be different after X and Y) I want to change it to this X17.8Y-1.G54 or X(value)Y(value)G54 My RegEx statement follows but it is not working. content = Regex.Replace(content, @"(X(?:\d*\.)?\d+)*(Y(?:\d*\.)?\d+)", "$1$2G54"); Can someone please modify it for me so it works and will search for X(wildcard) Y(Wildcard) and replace it with X(value)Y(value)G54?

  • Why can't the Adobe Flash player send key strokes it doesn't handle to the browse in which it is run

    I'm a heavy web user that uses the address bar constantly while browsing the web. I often use Ctrl + T to open a new tab or Ctrl + D to move focus to the address bar so it is very annoying that these shortcut keys do not work when a Flash object has focus on the active browser tab. I would happily give up all keyboard handling in the Flash Player in exchange for having keystrokes sent to the browser. In fact, as someone who has worked in software development for over 15 years it is hard to believe that Flash doesn't pass common browser shortcut keys to the browser or have an option to do so. So my question is this: Am I missing some option, some Flash shortcut key or some Firefox add-on that will alleviate my suffering?

  • Checking if date parsing is correct

    Hello, I have this code for checking whether the Date is OK or not, but it's not ckecking all the cases. For example when text="03/13/2009" as this date doesn't exist in the format "dd/MM/yyyy" it parses the date as 03/01/2010. Is there any way to change this behaviour and getting an exception when I try to parse a Date which is not correct?     Ok, i can use jeditable to edit-in-place some content on a page and the content will be saved to a database. But whats the best way to re get that text-content from db to show into a place holder? p id="paraNo34" class="editable" --What i will write here so that it will get content from a db's table: [Content], where id=="paraNo34". /p The problem is if i will use some hard coded text like p id="paraNo34" class="editable" --Some text here /p I will able to edit-in-place using jeditable but when i will refresh page it will show the same "Some text here" as its not getting data from db.

    We have a ProCurve Switch 2810-48G (J9022A). We need to disable auto negotiation on two ports and manually configure them to be full duplex gige ports. From the web GUI, Configuration Tab, Port Configuration sub tab, I am only presented with the option to configure the port as Auto - 1000. I take this to mean, auto negotiate duplex, manually configure the speed to be gige. From the CLI when I try to set 1000-full I get the following error: Value 1000-full is not applicable to port 39 (or whatever port I try) The exact commands I have entered are: config interface 39 speed-duplex 1000-full BTW: speed-duplex auto-1000 works ( I also tried full-1000 and that did not work either) How do I manually configure the port such that it is manually configured to use full duplex, 1000 mbs?

  • SHAREPOINT: Custom Field type property storage defined for custom field

    ok here is a great question. I have a set of generic custom fields that are highly configurable from an end user perspective and the configuration is getting overbearing as there are nearly 100 plus items each custom field allows you to perform in the areas of Server/Client Validation, Server/Client Events/Actions, Server/Client Bindings parent/child, display properties for form/control, etc, etc. Right now I'm storing most of these values as "Text" in my field xml for my propertyschema. I'm very familiar with the multi column value, but this is not a complex custom type in sense it's an array. I also considered creating serilzable objects and stuffing them into the text field and then pulling out and de-serilizing them when editing through the field editor or acting on the rules through the custom spfield.   • In which order is model binding and validation done in ASP.NET MVC 2?

    I am using ASP.NET MVC 2, and am using a view-model per view approach. I am also using Automapper to map properties from my domain-model to the view-model. Take this example view-model (with Required data annotation attributes for validation purposes): public class BlogPost_ViewModel { public int Id { get; set; } [Required] public string Title { get; set; } [Required] public string Text { get; set; } } In the post editor view I am using a rich text editor (CKeditor). Because CKeditor is a HTML editor, I ideally need CKeditor to HTMLencode the user's input when the form is submitted, so that ASP.NET's input validation does not complain. This is not a problem as CKeditor has this functionality built in, however I need CKeditor's output decoded before mapping back to the domain object (via Automapper). I am wanting to add a new property (to the view-model above) to solve this, as follows: public string HTMLEncodedText { get { return HTMLEncode(Text); } set { Text = HTMLDecode(value); } } I can then bind this property to CKeditor in the view, but still use Automapper to map the 'Text' property in the controller - all without having to turn input-validation off. My question is: do you know how the model binding and validation process in ASP.NET MVC 2 works? Are all model properties binded before validation is carried out? Or is each individual property get validated when it is being set. I think ideally for my idea to work, all properties need to be set before the model is validated.

  • Google Chrome freezing when I open Bookmark Manager

    I have an issue with Google Chrome freezing whenever I open the Bookmark Manager. Only that particular tab freezes, and I can still use the other tabs. No bookmarks appear, and I cannot type in the 'Search bookmarks' field. This seems to be related with my logged in profile. If I change profile, it allows me to login. I've also tried to login with my profile on different computers using Chrome, and it also freezes. However, I can still add bookmarks from the bookmarks tab. I just cannot use the Bookmark Manager. Any ideas what I can do? Is it possible to somehow export my bookmarks, reset the profile bookmarks (without losing other information like extensions etc), and re-import them?

  • How to use JQUERY to filter table rows dynamically using multiple form inputs

    I'm displaying a table with multiple rows and columns. I'm using a JQUERY plugin called uiTableFilter which uses a text field input and filters (shows/hides) the table rows based on the input you provide. All you do is specify a column you want to filter on, and it will display only rows that have the text field input in that column. Simple and works fine. I want to add a SECOND text input field that will help me narrow the results down even further. So, for instance if I had a PETS table and one column was petType and one was petColor -- I could type in CAT into the first text field, to show ALL cats, and then in the 2nd text field, I could type black, and the resulting table would display only rows where BLACK CATS were found. Basically, a subset. Here is the JQUERY I'm using: $("#typeFilter").live('keyup', function() { if ($(this).val().length > 2 || $(this).val().length == 0) { var newTable = $('#pets'); $.uiTableFilter( theTable, this.value, "petType" ); } }) // end typefilter $("#colorFilter").live('keyup', function() { if ($(this).val().length > 2 || $(this).val().length == 0) { var newTable = $('#pets'); $.uiTableFilter( newTable, this.value, "petColor" ); } }) // end colorfilter Problem is, I can use one filter, and it will display the correct subset of table rows, but when I provide input for the other filter, it doesn't seem to recognize the visible table rows that are remaining from the previous column, but instead it appears that it does an entirely new filtering of the original table. If 10 rows are returned after applying one filter, the 2nd filter should only apply to THOSE 10 rows. I've tried LIVE and BIND, but not working. Can anyone shed some light on where I'm going wrong?     Is there a good way to adjust the size of a UITextView to conform to it's content? Say for instance I have a UITextView that contains one line of text: "Hello world" I then add another line of text: "Goodbye world" Is there a good way in Cocoa Touch to get the rect that will hold all of the lines in the text view so that I can adjust the parent view accordingly? As another example, look at the Notes field for events in the Calendar application--note how the cell (and the UITextView it contains) expands to hold all lines of text in the notes string.

  • Splitting a string according to a delimiter when elements in the string can contain the delimiter

    I have a string that looks like this: "#Text() #SomeMoreText() #TextThatContainsDelimiter(#blah) #SomethingElse()" I'd like to get back [#Text(), #SomeMoreText(), #TextThatContainsDelimiter(#blah), #SomethingElse()] One way I thought about doing this was to require that the # to be escaped into \#, which makes the input string: "#Text() #SomeMoreText() #TextThatContainsDelimiter(\#blah) #SomethingElse()" I can then split it using /[^\\]#/ which gives me: [#Text(), SomeMoreText, TextThatContainsDelimiter(\#blah), SomethingElse()] The first element will contain # but I can strip it out. However, is there a cleaner way to do this without having to escape the #, and which ensures that the first element will not contain a #? Basically I'd like it to split by # only if the # is not enclosed by parentheses. My hunch is that since the # is context-sensitive and and regular expressions are only suited for context-free strings, this may not be the right tool. If so, would I have to write a grammar for this and roll my own parser/lexer?
