• PHP Configuration file won’t load IIS7 x64

  using Fast CGI I can't get it to read the php.ini file. See my phpinfo below. I've added various registry settings, Environment Variables and followed multiple tutorials found on the web and no dice as of yet. Rebooted after each. My original install was using MS "Web Platform Installer" however I have since rebooted. Any ideas on where to go from here would be most welcome.

  I'm developing software for tablet pcs and so far I've used some lenovo's (x41), some toshiba's (portege m200) and some gateways (M275). Granted: the machines we've gotten have predominantly been refurbs, but they're failing 80-90% of the time. Part of the reason that they're failing is users inevitably dropping them, so I'm looking at potentially some rugged tablet pcs. The problem that I'm running into is that Current tablet pcs are high spec (much higher than I'm looking for at least) The rugged tablet manufacturer space seems to be filled with lots of small companies that I don't trust yet. I'm looking for tablet PCs (keyboard or no) that can support: XP tpc (optional win 7) single core 1.5-2ghz 1gb ram wifi optional gsm optional gps very optional vehicle docking solutions The budget I've got is tight (but slightly flexible - So are there any reputable tablet pc vendors out there that can do this.

  Using CentOs, I want to run a script as user 'training' as a system service. I use daemontools to monitor the process, which needs a launcher script that is run as root and has no tty standard in. Below I give my four different attempts which all fail. : #!/bin/bash exec >> /var/log/training_service.log 2>&1 setuidgid training training_command This last line is not good enough since for training_command, we need environment for trqaining user to be set. : su - training -c 'training_command' This looks like it (http://serverfault.com/questions/44400/run-a-shell-script-as-a-different-user) but gives 'standard in must be tty' as su making sure tty is present to potentially accept password. I know I could make this disappear by modifying /etc/sudoers (a la http://superuser.com/questions/119376/bash-su-script-giving-an-error-standard-in-must-be-a-tty) but i am reluctant and unsure of consequences. : runuser - training -c 'training_command' This one gives runuser: cannot set groups: Connection refused. I found no sense or resolution to this error. : ssh -p100 training@localhost 'source $HOME/.bashrc; training_command' This one is more of a joke to show desparation. Even this one fails with Host key verification failed. (the host key IS in known_hosts, etc). Note: all of 2,3,4 work as they should if I run the wrapper script from a root shell. problems only occur if the system service monitor (daemontools) launches it (no tty terminal I guess). I am stuck. Is this something so hard to achieve? I appreciate all insight and guidance to best practice.   There are 5 steps in this job. First job is an SSIS Package store, second to fifth are file system jobs. We configured all jobs to use Windows Authentication. Under Run As, we specified a user account which was created under SecurityCredentials and SQL Server AgentProxiesSSIS Package execution. The job runs without any problems with this user account. We then proceeded to configure the job to use a service account instead. Service account was specified under SecurityCredentials and SQL Server AgentProxiesSSIS Package Execution. Example: I want to create new context name which can be extendable to put inside more programs. That is like "New" or "View" that show as more options after using it. Here is what i tried (and is working when you want to put one program to desktop): I created in registry "New Folder" with name of some programs (i.e. "notepad") inside of this location HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\Background\shell\ Inside of new created folder ("notepad") i put one more time "New Folder" and name it "command" (must be same name) Inside of "command" at string ("Default") put the location through notepad ("C:\Windows\system32\notepad.exe") - and now when you click right mouse button on desktop will see new context text with name "notepad" what will of course open notepad if you use them Well what i'm searching for is to find solution of how to make context name which will offer as to use more that one programs, do you have any solution? • DFS share Access denied for some time after workstation is booted.

  I have 2 Win server 2008 servers acting as domain controllers and Dns servers doing DFS. All my workstations are windows xp sp3. I have a DFS share drive mapped at login via login script. After the pc is booted I get an access denied message when trying to access the mapped drive. If i go to the file share on one of the servers i can get to it fine. After about 10 minutes i can try to access the mapped drive again and it works fine. I am not sure if it is some delay happening in dfs name resolution or a gpo issue.

• Windows Explorer keeps crashing in Windows 8.1

  This started a few days ago on a machine that has been running WIn 8.1 for over a month. I just finished a clean install of Windows 8.1 with a handful of apps like Dropbox and Office. • MAMP - Host name changes to first vhost SSL entry for project with two localhosts

  I have two projects that are a copy of each other on my Mac with MAMP. They both have SSL pages. However, whenever I hit the a secured SSL page of project 2, the base_url or host changes to project1 instead of remaining project2. I know this is an issue with the vhosts, because if I switch the order of the entries, the reverse happens. • Reverse proxy with SSL and IP passthrough?

  Turns out that the IP of a much-needed new website is blocked from inside our organization's network for reasons that will take weeks to fix. In the meantime, could we set up a reverse proxy on an Internet-based server which will forward SSL traffic and perhaps client IPs to the external site? Load will be light. No need to terminate SSL on the proxy. We may be able to poison DNS so original URL can work. How do I learn if I need URL rewriting? Squid/apache/nginx/something else? Setup would be fastest on Win 2000, but other OSes are OK if that would help. Simple and quick are good since it's a temporary solution. Thanks for your thoughts!

  The system started resetting itself exactly every 2 hours. These are the messages in the iLO2 log: Informational iLO 2 03/07/2010 20:40 03/07/2010 20:40 1 Server power restored. Caution iLO 2 03/07/2010 20:40 03/07/2010 20:40 1 Server reset. It's not an ASR reset (that would show in the log) Redundant power supplies, swapped but no change. Turned off all virtual machines (i.e. now only running hypervisor) but not OK Boot HP smartstart diagnostics disk, ALL OK Diagnostic disk reports no errors Went back to booting Hypervisor and the problem is back. Seems the hyper-V system disk has got a time based program (virus) causing the reset. I thought the hypervisor had a small attack surface and should be OK. All virtual machines (SBS2008, Win7 and Win XP) and network computers are protected with TrendMicro WFBS. I am about to rebuild the disk (I have backups) but wondered if there were any suggestions to try first???

• Windows 7 Default Gateway problem

  Hi, I have a strange problem (or at least seems strange to me) the below are IP configurations for two laptops on my home network which consists of a main router 192.168.11.1 and a connected wireless router (i know this can cause problems but has always worked until I got the win7 machine) at 192.168.11.2 with DHCP disabled. Laptop 1 - Win XP IP: Dynamically assigned by main router default gateway: 192.168.11.1 (main router) This machine gets perfect connectivity. Laptop 2 - Win7 IP: dynamically assigned by main router Default Gateway: 192.168.11.2 THIS IS THE PROBLEM... I cannot seem to get this machine to default to the main router for the gateway UNLESS I go to a static configuration which I would rather not do since I regularly go between my home and public networks. Why is my Win7 machine not finding the main gateway the same way that the other laptop is? I believe that the rest of my setup is fine as it has always worked and it works perfectly when set as static ip and gateway. Please help! Thanks

  I recently installed Windows Server 2012. This will serve as the dev-instance for our engineers and will be accessed in multiple time zones. I therefore plan to run this 24x7 but want to conserve energy by going to sleep mode when not in use & enable Wake-On-Magic-Packet. Based on the previous post it appears that there is no option to sleep Win Server 2012 with Hyper-V. Since I don't care much about virtualization now, I uninstalled Hyper-V. In addition to this, I have done the following 1) Ran powercfg -a. Don't find sleep. 2) Added [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\hvboot] "Start"=dword:00000003 to try gaining sleep - no luck! 3) Only see Shutdown and Restart in power options. • How should i setup my PC partition?

  I want to clear out my PC and setup the partitions. Right now i have it as XP, Win-7, Vista, XP/Test/Spare I notice my PC is pretty good at virtualization, at least virtualizing linux. I also rarely boot out of my primary XP although i do find myself deving on windows 7 once in a while. So i figure i can have it as XP, Windows 7, data partition then... what? i still have one more slot. There may be a more useful way to do this so what do you guys think? My bro has 2gb partition that is used to restore the OS which can be ran during the bootup process. However i dont think i can do that with mine. So, what are you thoughts?

• Virtualbox two networks slow

  I am running an Ubuntu server guest on Win 7 guest, and am running a webrick server (RoR dev). If I have just a host-only network, everything works fine and the browser response is instant. However, if I add a second network (NAT), so that the server can connect to the internet (for various updates etc.), the host-to-guest access gets really slow. I can't use the bridge connection. I am using the port 3000 (RoR Webrick server) and connecting to the guest via internet browser on this port (eg http://192.168.56.102:3000). Any idea, what could be causing this? I want to use the virutal environment to practice removing malware....in other words, I want to infect it on purpose. What is the safest way to do this so that win 7 doesn't get infected as well?   Possible Duplicate: Can you help me with my software licensing issue? I've got a Citrix XenApp 6.5 Farm running on Win 2008 R2 Servers. I purchased 300 Device RDP/Remote App Licenses for ~200 users. We went with Device licenses, because most of the end users use the same machines. After 1 month of operating, we started to run out of licenses. It turns out the licensing service is consuming multiple licenses for the same machine. I can revoke licenses, but there is a limit to how many I can do. Is this operating correctly? The only explanation I can come up with is that the Licensing service is giving a license to a device for every server it connects to in our Citrix farm.

  When I open Reporting Services Configuration Manager on my server, an error message appears that says: Reporting Services Configuration Manager An unknown error has occurred in the WMI Provider. Error Code 800706B3 This error appears before I can even attempt to connect to an SSRS instance. In addition to this problem, I'm not able to connect to my SSRS instance via SSMS on my desktop. When I attempt to connect, I get the following error message: Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation. (mscorlib) Additional information: The operation could not be completed. • Unable to connect to Adobe Connect

  I am having troubles trying to connect my colleges Adobe Connect. I have done the test meeting connection and it will say "Unable to connect". I have tried connecting on 3 other computers and it works with flying colors. I am running Norton 360 on my computer and I also tried it on my other laptop thats also running Norton 360 and it works on that laptop. I also checked my hosts file and that is not the problem because I am able to connect to the server (on port 80) but not the Adobe Connect port (port 1935). The only thing in it is "127.0.0.1 localhost" Here are the details from the log that the test created: Player Version: WIN 11,3,300,271 App-Server returned: code:ok, servers=rtmp://connect.bowvalleycollege.ca:1935/_rtmp://localhost:8506/,rtmpt://connect.bowvalleycollege.ca:443/_rtmp://localhost:8506/ ERROR: FMS Server did not return correctly! Here is my specifications: Windows 7 SP1 x64 Norton 360 v6.3 (latest) It won't connect in Firefox v15, Chrome v19, or IE9 All of my computers are connected through the same router (D-Link DIR-625) Any ideas?

• Linksys/Cisco Small Business SRW-Series (ie SRW248G4) - Overcoming the Limitations

  We just purchased a Cisco/Linksys SRW 248G4 switch to try it out. We have always had unmanaged switches before, and this is our first "somewhat managed" switch. So far the major limitations are: Only Internet Explorer 6 (manual says IE 5.5!) works for the web interface SSH exists but is not practically useable because the only key length that is supported is no longer even used by most modern SSH installs. (I get the error "RSA modulus too small" in openssh 4.x/5.x) This is with the latest firmware revision, I believe, although Cisco's website does not actually tell you what version you're downloading. All in all, I think, they must be trying to tell me that if I want a good-quality switch, I shouldn't buy these SRWs and should buy a Dell or an HP ProCurve, or save up my pennies, and buy a Catalyst. The question here, then, at long last: Has anyone gotten the web-browser to work via some IE 7 or IE 8 compatibility mode settings or used another browser (Opera? KDE/Safari/WebKit?) and spoofed IE6? Is there any way to get the SSH key length upgraded? I'm guessing a 0% chance of a yes on that last one. I found an XP machine, used telnet (via PuttyTel.exe) and IE6 to set this up, and I doubt we'll have to touch it again. Which is fine with us. But it would be nice if I could administer this thing from either (a) a linux box, or (b) my primary desktop which is windows 7. It looks like XPMode with IE6 on the virtual XP machine may be my only way to administer this type of switch via the web.

• mac osX file recovery

  I thought that all operating systems would merge folder content when being moved to the same location. Imagine my surprise when that didn't happen and I have hundreds, if not thousands of files that have gone missing and are nowhere to be found. Because they were not "deleted" they are not in the trash bin. I've tried to do some recovery using a program called stellarPheonix but after about a 24hour scan, it didn't recognize any of the raw files (.dng,.arw) as image files and so I couldn't see if they could be recovered. It also didn't show the directory structure, which would be handy. I tried a quick scan, but all it showed was files that were still on the HD, not sure what the point of that is. I've used recover 2000 on Win and it does a good job, does anyone know of anything that works quickly and reliably for this kind of file recovery. (I don't think I should have to do a sector-by=sector for this kind of file loss)

• Using virtual IP with stunnel and haproxy

  Hi there, We have a load-balancer setup, in which an HTTPS Request flows through the following steps:- Client -> DNS -> stunnel on Load-Balancer -> HAProxy on LB -> Web-Server This setup works perfectly when stunnel is listening to the local IP of the Load-Balancer. However in our setup we have 2 load-balancers and we want to be able to listen to a virtual IP, which only ever exists on one LB at a time (keepalived flips the IP to the second LB if the first one falls over). HAProxy has no problem in doing this (and I can ping the assigned virtual IP on the load-balancer I'm testing), but it seems stunnel hates the concept. • Accessing two networks connected to gateway from behind the gateway

  I have a Windows XP machine acting as internet gateway. It is connected to two different networks, one, say LAN1, connects to internet and other, say LAN2, to outside LAN. My machine is sitting behind the gateway. I have set up internet connection sharing on LAN1 and can access internet on my machine but i can't access anything from LAN2.
