• What is a cheap CDN that supports RTMP streaming?

  I hope someone can help. I have been looking into trying to stream movies into my client's site. They are videos about 1 hour long and for web in .flv or .m4v are about 320 megs. We need to get these videos off our server while providing our visitors a way to scrub through the video. I know Limelight does it, but their min plan is $1,000 a month. This is overkill for our needs. Someone told me to go with CacheFly, but they don't support true streaming. SimpleCDN seems to be sold out at the moment. Please help!

• How to create a view of table that contains a timestamp column?

  This question is an extension of a previous one I have asked. I have a table (2014_05_31_transformed.Video) with a schema that looks like this. I have put up the JSON returned by the BigQuery API describing it's schema in this gist. I am trying to create a view against this table with an API call that looks like this: { 'view': { 'query': u 'SELECT deleted_mod_time FROM [2014_05_31_transformed.Video]' }, 'tableReference': { 'datasetId': 'latest_transformed', 'tableId': u 'Video', 'projectId': 'redacted' } } But, the BigQuery API is returning this error: HttpError: https://www.googleapis.com/bigquery/v2/projects/124072386181/datasets/latest_transformed/tables?alt=json returned "Invalid field name "deleted_mod_time.usec". Fields must contain only letters, numbers, and underscores, start with a letter or underscore, and be at most 128 characters long." The schema that the BigQuery API does not make any distinction between a TIMESTAMP data type and a regular nullable INTEGER data type, so I can't think of a way to programmatically correct this problem. Is there anything I can do, or is this a bug with BigQuery's view implementation?

  I am trying to view camera feed from a Logitech9000 camera using DSVL(DirectShow Video Library) http://sourceforge.net/projects/dsvideolib/.   I am considering a web application that would have the same kind of multi user, automatic saving, infinite undo / replay capabilities that you see in Google Wave and Etherpad (albeit on a drastically smaller scale and userbase). Before I go away and reinvent the wheel, is this something that has already been addressed as either a piece of technology or library, or even just a design pattern. I know this isn't necessarily the best Stack Overflow question as there is probably not a "right" answer, but my Google-fu has failed me and I'd just like a reading list! Ordinarily I would be developing under python/django but this is not a firm requirement just a preference :)

I have narrowed it all down to the fact that my signature-generation code has an error of some sort; what it is I have no idea. • Does Google crawl AJAX content?

  On the home page of my site I use JQuery's ajax function to pull down a list of recent activity of users. The recent activity is displayed on the page, and each line of the recent activity includes a link to the user profile of the user who did the activity. Will Google actually make the ajax call to pull down this info and use it in calculating page relevancy / link juice flow? I'm hoping that it does not because the user profile pages are not very Google index worthy, and I don't want all those links to the User profile pages diluting my home page's link juice flow away from other more important links.

Everyone knows that there two different chip manufacturers (popular ones, at least) - ATI and nVIDIA - so there are two different kinds of drivers to read temperature from. I'm interested in learning how to do it for each different card driver. Language in question is irrelevant - it could be C/C++, .NET platform, Java, but let's say that .NET is preferred. • Randomly Losing Session Variables Only In Google Chrome & URL Rewriting

  Using Google Chrome, I'm seemingly losing/corrupting session data when navigating between pages (PHP 5.0.4, Apache 2.0.54). The website works perfectly fine in IE7/8, Firefox, Safari & Opera. The issue is only with Google Chrome. I narrowed down the problem. I'm using search friendly URL's, and hiding my front controller (index.php) via a .htaccess file. So the URL looks like: www.domain.com/blah/blah/ Here's the .htaccess file contents: Options +FollowSymlinks RewriteEngine on #allow cool urls RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d RewriteRule ^(.*) index.php [L] #allow to have Url without index.php If I remove the .htaccess file, and expose the front controller in the URL: www.domain.com/index.php/blah/blah/, Chrome works perfectly fine. Any thoughts ideas? I'm thinking it's some kind of problem with how Chrome identifies what cookie to use and send to the server? This happens in Chrome 4 & 5. Thanks!

• OpenCv not initializing usb camera

  I am trying to capture video from usb camera using OpenCv. #include <highgui.h> #include <iostream> using namespace std; using namespace cv ; int main() { VideoCapture cap (-1); if(!cap.isOpened()) cout << "Cam initialize failed" ; else cout << "Cam initialized" ; return 0; } It is failing to initialize the camera. cap.isOpened() is returning zero. The same program, with same version of OpenCv and same usb camera, is correctly running in my friend's machine. I am running fedora 16. I did some searching in Google and Stack Overflow. But no useful help. Any idea ?

  Is there a copy of the file saved to the ipad/ipod when using progressive http download (apple segmented) that the user could potentially copy off the device? meaning, is this scenario considered 'safe' from a content protection pov: 1. user comes to websites with movies behind paywall 2. user selects a movie to watch online (progressively downloaded or 'pseudo-streamed') 3. segments are downloaded seamlessly by html5 video tag as part of .m3u8 4. movie plays/ends. is there any full copy of this movie on the device that can be transferred off? anyone know apple's stance on this?

• Application not showing up in Google Play for 4.x devices

  I recently posted about the Play store not letting me publish my app without a minSdkVersion, but whenever I set it to anything above "1" my app just doesn't work (minSdkVersion breaking program). So this guy suggested to just set my minSdkVersion to 1, which worked. But now when I submitted my app even though the developer site says: API level: 1-16+ Supported screens: normal-xlarge OpenGL textures: all But the app only shows it supports Android under 4.x, I developed it on my 4.0.4 device. I tried searching around and I found that some people have problems with services messing up the phones it supports, so I deleted all of my services, because I don't really need any for this version of the app to submit. And it still didn't work. So I don't know what else to do, here is my AndroidManifest.xml if it helps... I've been trying to figure out why my application isn't working for a week now, still nothing. I have tried setting a targetSdkVersion to something like 14, my application still breaks. I cleaned out my code, taking everything out of the already short, 200 lines, application, and it still isn't working. Is there something I can't use in an android application 4.0 that I am using in my application? or is it just my AndroidManifest? When I did the same on my phone, Galaxy Note, it opened in the Google Play Store, but then said "Not compatible." Why? They are both on the same version of OS. • Google search is not working in web browser control

  Hello, I have developed a browser using the standard WebBrowser control in my application that is built against CF 3.5. Google search is not working in the browser. That is when i navigate to www.google.co.in and type a keyword and click on the serach button nothing is happening. Outside the application from the device if i try the same thing in IE am getting a security warning dialog box and if ok is clicked search results are shown. So in my case do i need to set property on the webbrowser control. Thanks in advance

• Using flash for videoconferencing

  Hi I'd like to set up a videoconferencing (1-1 initially) system using Flash as the client. I've tried some web searches but couldn't find much; any pointers on the following would be great: Does the standard browser Flash 10 plugin contain everything needed for P2P video conferencing, or is server support needed? Does anyone have any experience of opensource server videoconferencing products to be used with Flash on the browser side? E.g. would Asterisk work? Something like http://www.red5chat.com/ ? I setup the emails like [email protected] - and using the Google Email client and loggin as user contact - if I send emails to users - they arrive in their inbox. But when I send it through my php script running on my hosting account where I have registered the domain example.com - using the same email address [email protected] - it ends up in the Spam folder - I've noticed this in both yahoo and gmail accounts Any tips on how to prevent this from happening.   Hello. I have been trying to create an application using OpenCV and Visual Studio 2008, to capture images from a webcam, apply a filter to them, and then write them to an AVI file. Everything works, except creating the AVI file. The problem is that it works on my computer, but it doesn't work on my colleague's computer. The reason for that (I think) is that he does not have the necessary video encoders for OpenCV to use. The cvCreateVideoWriter function does not return NULL, but I end up with a 0kb file on the disk.

• Android Google Play Services Error whilst Connecting

  I am attempting to implement the Google Play Services into my Game to add a Leaderboard. However, whenever I try to connect, I get the following error message: I have correctly imported google-play-services_lib into my project, and AdMob is working perfectly. This error message comes up after it tries to login. The account with which I am logging in, is authorized as a Test account so that shouldn't be the issue. There are no error messages in the LogCat window either. All I got was that Error Message from the image. Project hierarchy : I am assuming that simply Extending the Activity from BaseGameActivity should handle everything for me right?

• Someone tried to hack my Node.js server, need to understand a GET request in the logs

  Alright, so I left my Node.js server alone for a while and came back to find some really interesting stuff in the logs. Apparently some moron from China or Poland tried to hack my server using directory traversal and what not, while it seems though he did not succeed I am unable understand few entries in the log. This is the output of a "hohup.out" file. The attack starts, apparently he is trying to find out some console entry in my server. All of which fail and return a 404. How did the hacker even manage to send a GET request to my server such that "http://www.google.com" shows up in the log while my server is simply an API that works on relative URLs such as "/api/login". And, while I looked up the OPTIONS, TRACE and PROPFIND HTTP requests that my server has logged it would be great if someone could explain what exactly was the hacker trying to achieve by using these verbs? Also what in the world does "[90m [32m [90m1ms - 240b[0m" mean? The "ms" makes sense, probably milliseconds for the request, rest I am unable to understand. Thank you!

• How to draw an unfilled square on top of a stream video using a mouse and track the object enclosed

  Hi, I am making an object tracking application. I have used Emgucv 2.1.0.0 to load a video file to a picturebox. I have also taken the video stream from a web camera. Now, I want to draw an unfilled square on the video stream using a mouse and then track the object enclosed by the unfilled square as the video continues to stream. This is what people have suggested so far:- (1) .NET Video overlay drawing(DirectX) - but this is for C++ users, the suggester said that there are .NET wrappers, but I had a hard time finding any. (2) DxLogo sample DxLogo – A sample application showing how to superimpose a logo on a data stream. It uses a capture device for the video source, and outputs the result to a file. Sadly, this does not use a mouse. (3) GDI+ and mouse handling - this area I do not have a clue. And for tracking the object in the square, I would appreciate if someone give me some research paper links to read. Any help as to using the mouse to draw on a video is greatly appreciated.
