• XAML to HTML Conversion - WPF RichTextBox

  I have the problem where i have a WPF RichTextBox, and i'm extracting its XAML code and saving it to a txt file. When i copy paste the XAML code generated to a XAMLtoHTML converter like this http://blogs.msdn.com/wpfsdk/archive/2006/05/25/606317.aspx , some error must be occuring as i'm always getting a blank result! • Trouble getting NSString from NSDictionary key into UILabel

  I'm attempting to put the value associated with the key called "duration" into a UILabel but I'm getting a blank or "(null)" result showing up in the UILabel. My NSDictionary object with its keys seems to be logging as being full of the data and keys I think I want, as such: the content of thisRecordingsStats is { "12:48:25 AM, April 25" = { FILEPATH = "/Users/brian/Library/Application Support/iPhone Simulator/3.1.3/Applications/97256A91-FC47-4353-AD01-15CD494060DD/Documents/12:48:25 AM, April 25.aif"; duration = "00:04"; applesCountString = 0; ...and so on. Here's the code where I'm trying to put the NSString into the UILabel: cell.durationLabel.text = [NSString stringWithFormat:@"%@",[thisRecordingsStats objectForKey:@"duration"]]; I've also tried these other permutations: cell.durationLabel.text = [thisRecordingsStats objectForKey:@"duration"]; and I've also tried this tag-based approach: label = (UILabel *)[cell viewWithTag:8]; label.text = [[thisRecordingsStats objectForKey:@"duration"] objectAtIndex:1]; and: UILabel *label; label = (UILabel *)[cell viewWithTag:8]; label.text = [NSString stringWithFormat:@"%@",[[thisRecordingsStats objectForKey:@"duration"] objectAtIndex:1]]; I've also tried creating a string from the key's paired value and see a "(null)" value or blankness using that too. • Binding WPF menu items to WPF Tab Control Items collection

  I have a WPF Menu and a Tab control. I would like the list of menu items to be generated from the collection of TabItems on my tab control. I am binding my tab control to a collection to generate the TabItems. I have a TabItem style that uses a ContentPresenter to display the TabItem text in a TextBlock. When I bind the tab items to my menu the menu items are blank. I assume the menu items are looking for the Header property of the TabItems which I am not using. Is there a workaround for my scenario? Is it possible to bind to the Header property of the tab item, when I do not know the number of tabs in advance? Below is a copy of my xaml declarations. • Magento MAGMI: Product attributes (custom options) not showing up in import

  When importing a CSV into Magento with the MAGMI importing tool, I am unable to import Custom Options (as in size: smalee/medium/large). The import manages to put in the basic products, but the Custom Options don't transfer accross. By custom options I mean the fields Title, Input Type, Is Required, Sort Order Title, Price, Price Type, SKU, Sort Order Title, Price, Price Type, SKU, Sort Order Title, Price, Price Type, SKU, Sort Order and so on ... Found in the custom options menu... Even using the example CSV from the MAGMI SourceForge Wiki: sku,name,description,price,Size:drop_down:1 T-Shirt1,T-Shirt,A T-Shirt,5.00,Small|Medium|Large T-Shirt2,T-Shirt2,Another T-Shirt,6.00,XS|S|M|L|XL ...it fails to import the attributes. So i'm simply using MAGMI with the supplied example data from SourceForge on a blank magento product list, and it doesn't transfer properly. Can anyone shed any light on what might be wrong? I am using Magento ver. 1.6.1.0 if that changes anything. Thanks.

• ASP.NET Session State Timeout Problem

  I am trying to detect a session state timeout in my asp.net application and am unable to do so. Also, all these pages have EnableSessionState="True". I have a blank Session_Start() method in my global.asax file if that is relevant at all. For some reason after the first request, the "Session.IsNewSession" property is always false. It is true only for the first request and then is always false. I have my timeout set to 1 minute. The session never seems to timeout. What am I missing here ? Thanks in advance.

  I've started working on a Joomla! project (I'm mainly a C#/ASP.NET kind a guy). I'm using BreezingForms and have created forms, got them working, but now I need to do some additional code in the "Finalize Code" section. I need to access form elements via BreezingForms(FacileForms) API. Here's what I'm doing, but it chokes: $this->execPieceByName('ff_SubmitLib'); // Is this necessary? // load the standard Facile Forms library $this->execPieceByName('ff_InitLib'); // page breaks here. // get the name of the uploaded file $filename = ff_getSubmit('someUploadedFile'); Now I don't know what goes wrong. The page posts back blank. I'm not sure how to debug this in Joomla. I currently do not have access to the server to debug, so I would need to debug remotely at runtime (not ideal I know). My account is of type Administrator for the Joomla backend. As far as I know all the plugins/modules are installed. Any ideas?

• Cocos2D Director Pause/Resume Issue

  I am trying to play a .gif animation in cocos2D. For this i am using the library glgif. Now, to display the animation i am pausing the Director, adding a subview to show the animation and after the animation is done i am resuming the Director. However, I am not able to resume the state of the Director and it shows blank. So I tried this without pausing and resuming this Director and it still did not work.I also tried detaching the director before tha animation and adding it back afterwards and even that did not work. So is there a way to pause/suspend the Director in the application and properly restore is back? Thanks. • Android media thumbnails. Serious issues?

  I've been playing with android's thumbnails for a while now, and I've seen some inconsistencies that make me want to scream. My goal is to have a simple list of all Images (and a separate list for video) with the thumbnail and filename. Device: HTC Evo (fresh from Google I/o) First off: http://androidsamples.blogspot.com/2009/06/how-to-display-thumbnails-of-images.html That code doesn't seem to work at all, thumbnails are duplicated... some with the "mirror" effect and some without. Also some won't load and just display a black square. I've tried rebuilding the thumbnails by deleting the "alblum thumbs" directory from the SD card. HTC's gallery application seem to show everything fine. This approach seems to work: Bitmap thumb = MediaStore.Images.Thumbnails.getThumbnail( getContentResolver(), id, MediaStore.Video.Thumbnails.MICRO_KIND, null); imageView.setImageBitmap(curThumb); where id is the original images id and imageView is some image view. This is great! But, strangely, way too slow to be used inside a SimpleViewBinder. Next approach: String [] proj = {MediaStore.Images.Thumbnails._ID}; Cursor c = managedQuery(MediaStore.Images.Thumbnails.EXTERNAL_CONTENT_URI, proj, MediaStore.Images.Thumbnails.IMAGE_ID + "=" +id , null, null); if (c != null && c.moveToFirst()) { Uri thumb = Uri.withAppendedPath(mThumbUri,c.getLong(0)+""); imageView.setImageURI(thumb); } I should explain that I feel the needed WHERE condition is required because there doesn't seem to be any guarantee that your uri will have the same ID for both a thumbnail and its parent image. This works for all of the current images, but as soon as I start adding pictures with the camera they show up as blank! Debugging shows a dreaded: SkImageDecoder::Factory returned null error and the URI is returned as invalid. These are the same images that work with the previous call. Can anyone either catch my logical failure or point me to some working code?

• Cocoa Bindings and Application Preferences - Crash

  Using the document provided by Apple to create an application preferences window that doesn't require any extra code, I seem to have triggered a crash that cannot be traced by me. While the stuff from Apple is older, I believe I have the settings pretty much the same as shown here: When I run my application (Hcode) and go to the preferences menu item, it brings up the proper window with the defaults I specified in the bindings with the exception of the Spaces per tab is blank (no idea how to fix this). Let's name this Linux box "wiki box". Public users can't access this wiki as it is hosted on a private LAN. For external users (the Internet users) we have a Linux router (with Apache 2.0.52) where we host our website (ex: xttp://www.cubique.ro). Let's name this Linux box "router". WHAT I WANT What I want to do is: to create a virtual domain (as xttp://wiki.cubique.ro) on the "router" setup the virtual domain to forward all xttp requests to my private "wiki box" (ex: xttp://192.168.0.200/wiki_root/) WHAT I'VE DONE ALREADY On router's Apache (httpd.conf) I have created a VirtualHost as: < VirtualHost 0.0.0.0:80 ServerName wiki.cubique.ro DocumentRoot /someinternalpath/html ScriptAlias /cgi-bin /someinternalpath/cgi-bin ... When I access the wiki using the virtual domain name ( xttp://wiki.cubique.ro ) it shows the content but no style sheet. Worse than that, no internal wiki links are working at all.   i am new to webservices, I have created a basic stockmarket webservice, I have successfully created the server script for it and placed it in my server, Now I also creted a clent script and accessed it hruogh the same server.. Is it valid ? can boh files be accesed from the same server? or do I have to place them in different servers? If yes Then Y? If No then why do i get the blank page? I am using nusoap library for webservice. • I want to merge two PostScript Documents, pagewise. How?

  hello, i have a tricky question, so i need to describe my problem: i need to print 2-sided booklets (a third of a paper) on normal paper (german A4, but letter is okay also) and cut the paper afterwards. The Pages are in a Postscript Level 2 File (generated by an ancient printer driver, so no chance to patch that, except ps2ps) generated by me with the ancient OS's Printing driver facilities (GpiMove, GpiLine, GpiText etc). I do not want to throw away two-thirds of the paper, so my idea is: Take file one, two and three, merge them (how?) on new double-sided papers by translate/move file two and three by one resp. two thirds and print the resulting new pages. If it helps, I can manage to print one page of the booklet per file. I cannot "speak" postscript natively, but I am capable of parsing and merging and manipulating files programmaticly. Maybe you can hint me to a webpage. I've read through the manuals on adobe's site and followed the links on www.inkguides.com/postscript.asp Maybe there are techniques with PDF that would help? I can translate ps2pdf. Thanks for help Peter Miehle PS: my current solution: i.e. 8 pages: print page 1, 4 and 7 on page one, 2,5,8 on page two and 3,6,blank on page three, cut the paper and restack. But i want to use a electrical cutting machine, which works better with thicker stacks of paper.

'" /><br /> However, when I try to do the same for a drop down box and a textarea box, nothing is pre-populated from the database, even though there is actual content in the database.   Hi, I am developing a php website. I cant see php.ini file in my server. my host will not provide it. So i'm now going to create a copy of that php.ini file. so i have tried system() i searched in google and i got this link. http://drupal.org/node/290592 Here they are using like this system("cp /usr/local/php5/lib/php.ini /home/YOURUSERNAME/php.ini"); in my server when i looked the phpinfo my php.ini location is /ms/svc/php5/conf/php.ini and when i looked for the current directory of my server using this $dir_path = str_replace( $_SERVER['DOCUMENT_ROOT'], "", dirname(realpath(FILE)) ) . DIRECTORY_SEPARATOR; i got my current directory as /netapp/whnas-swamp/s11/s11/01712/www.sample.com/webdocs/ so my system command will now look lke this system("/ms/svc/php5/conf/php.ini /netapp/whnas-swamp/s11/s11/01712/www.sample.com/webdocs/php.ini"); i have named this page as getthephpini.php and when i b rowse this page i got a blank page but no new php.ini file created in my server. • Limiting choices from an intermediary ManyToMany junction table in Django

  Background I've created three Django models—Inventory, SalesOrder, and Invoice—to model items in inventory, sales orders for those items, and invoices for a particular sales order. Each sales order can have multiple items, so I've used an intermediary junction table—SalesOrderItems—using the through argument for the ManyToManyField. Also, partial billing of a sales orders is allowed, so I've created a ForeignKey in the Invoice model related to the SalesOrder model, so that a particular sales order can have multiple invoices. Here's where I deviate from what I've normally seen. Instead of relating the Invoice model to the Item model via a ManyToManyField, I've related the Invoice model to the SalesOrderItem intermediary junction table through the intermediary junction table InvoiceItem. I've done this because it better models reality—our invoices are tied to sales orders and can only include items that are tied to that sales order as opposed to any item in inventory. I will admit that it does seem strange having the intermediary junction table of a ManyToManyField related to the intermediary junction table of another ManyToManyField. Question How can I limit the choices available for the invoice_items in the Invoice model to just the sales_order_items of the SalesOrder model for that particular Invoice? (I tried using limit_choices_to= {'sales_order': self.invoice.sales_order}) as part of the item = models.ForeignKey(SalesOrderItem) in the InvoiceItem model, but that didn't work. Am I correct in thinking that limiting the choices for the invoice_items should be handled in the model instead of in a form? • How do I handle nils in views?

  I have the following models set up: class Contact < ActiveRecord::Base belongs_to :band belongs_to :mode validates_presence_of :call, :mode validates_associated :mode, :band validates_presence_of :band, :if => :no_freq? validates_presence_of :freq, :if => :no_band? protected def no_freq? freq.nil? end def no_band? band.nil? end end class Band < ActiveRecord::Base has_many :logs end class Mode < ActiveRecord::Base has_many :logs end When I enter a frequency on my new view it allows for no band to be specified if a freq is entered. This creates a problem in my other views though because band is now nil. How do I allow for band not to be specified and just show up as empty on my index and show views, and then in the edit view allow one to be specified at a later point in time. I have been able to get my index to display a blank by doing: contact.band && contact.band.name But I'm not sure if this is a best approach, and I'm unsure of how to apply a similar solution to my other views. • Problem Binding a ObservableCollection to a ListBox in WPF/MVVM

  I'm working in some code , using wpf and starting to use mvvm. So far i have no problem, when i have one element and I have to show the values of it in the screen (binding of the specific name of the property). But now, i have to work with a property list , not knowing the names of it. So I created a class, named GClass, that only have two propierties, name and value. I created the ObservableCollection, and fill for now with direct values, and asign the view (lstview) datacontext with the object i have created. But I cant see any result, it always shows a blank listbox. Can someone tell me if see why is happening ? • toggling proximity sensor on iPhone loses an event

  I'm using setProximitySensingEnabled and implemented proximityStateChanged in my UIApplication subclass. It looks like if sensing is toggled, that the first "off" event is being lost. My UIApplication class is pretty basic... -(void)proximityStateChanged:(BOOL)state { NSLog(state ? @"ON" : @"OFF"); } In my application delegate, I have a UISwitch that enables/disables the proximity sensor. -(IBAction)toggleProxy:(id)sender { [UIApplication sharedApplication].proximitySensingEnabled = prox.on; } "prox" is my UISwitch. The test works fine when it first starts. I tap the switch to turn it on and then put my hand over the sensor for a second then move it away and get: 2009-03-11 12:43:00.465 Proximity[324:20b] ON 2009-03-11 12:43:02.514 Proximity[324:20b] OFF 2009-03-11 12:43:04.046 Proximity[324:20b] ON 2009-03-11 12:43:05.621 Proximity[324:20b] OFF I then tap the switch to turn it off then tap again to turn it on. Now I get: 2009-03-11 12:43:12.005 Proximity[324:20b] ON 2009-03-11 12:43:14.789 Proximity[324:20b] ON 2009-03-11 12:43:16.467 Proximity[324:20b] OFF 2009-03-11 12:43:17.516 Proximity[324:20b] ON 2009-03-11 12:43:19.077 Proximity[324:20b] OFF Notice I get two ON's before an OFF. The OFF is lost somewhere. I can't replicate this behavior using Google's mobile app so I'm wondering if they're resetting something in between proximity enabling. They don't have the proximity sensor on all the time because if you cover the sensor, the screen doesn't go blank. You have to tilt the phone up and angle it back (to simulate the position it would be in at your ear) and then covering the sensor works. Anyone else playing with the sensor? In my particular app, I'm recording a voice message and when you move the phone away from your ear, I want to pause the recording (when I get an OFF). The first time I move the phone away from my ear, the recording is not paused. However, if I put it to my ear and move it away again, it is paused.

• Nested forms and automatic creation of parent, children

  Guys, I was wondering if it was possible to create new parent, children in a has many relationship, using rails nested forms. Rails documentation clearly says that this works in a one to one relationship. Not sure if its the same in has many relationship. For example: If params = { :employee => { :name => "Tester", :account_attributes => {:login => 'tester'} } } works as one to one relationship. So Employee.new(params) works fine. New employee, account are created. Supposing I had params = { :employee => { :name => "Tester", :account_attributes => { "0" => {:login => 'tester'}, "1" => {:login => 'tester2'} } } } Employee.new(params) doesnt work. It fails on child validations saying parent cant be blank. Any help is appreciated. Thanks Karen

  I have the following model class Project < ActiveRecord::Base has_many :assignments, :conditions => {:deleted_at => nil} has_many :members, :conditions => {:deleted_at => nil} accepts_nested_attributes_for :members, :allow_destroy => true end class Member < ActiveRecord::Base belongs_to :project belongs_to :person belongs_to :role has_many :assignments, :dependent => :destroy, :conditions => {:deleted_at => nil} accepts_nested_attributes_for :assignments, :allow_destroy => true validates_presence_of :role_id validates_presence_of :project_id end and I assume the controller will populate the member.project_id upon project.save for each nested member record. However, I get a validation error stating the project_id is blank. My controller method: def create # @project is created in before_filter if @project.save flash[:notice] = "Successfully created project." redirect_to @project else render :action => 'new' end end Do I need to manually set the project_id in each nested member record? Or what is necessary for the controller to populate when it creates the member records?

  Hi, I am using the jquery validation plugin and want to use the errorPlacement function to add error messages to the fields title attribute and display just a ? next to the field. This works great when the form is submitted with the submit button but when any of the following events are triggered: - onfocusout - click - onkeyup The validation checks are run but it skips the errorPlacement function and adds the full error message after the field, like the default behaviour.
