    I uses a lots of Google Apps Product in my Laptop, Tablet and Mobile. Since I never use all pre-installed software in Ubuntu, can I remove it? E.g like: LibreOffice | I use Google Doc etc. RhythmBox | I use Google Play Music Thunderbird | I use Gmail, don't like client Videos | Watch online Messaging | Hangouts And other softwares like Remmina Client, BitTorrent Client. Can I simply remove it in Ubuntu Software Centre? I like my Laptop clean and having unmessy software that I never use. I normally use Chromium Browser to do all the stuff, I think I am heavy user of Google, and love the simplicity of Ubuntu. Lol! Can anyone tell or guide me? Thanks!

  • Is my htaccess setting hurting SEO?

    I have a site that I have redirecting to https. I do this to leverage wildcard SSL for my password protected pages. Everything seems to work fine with testing. For example, whether you type in http or www, you always get redirected to the SSL https... That said, I have about 200-300 external backlinks -- many high quality, yet google webmaster (along with SEOMoz), shows I have just 4... Huh? I'm embarrassed to say I just discovered this. This has led me to hypothesize that maybe my settings in htaccess is messed up, so google isn't recognizing a link because it's recorded on another site as http, instead of https. Maybe? At any rate, here is my simple htaccess setting for 301 www to http, and from http to https. RewriteCond %{SERVER_PORT} !443 RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^www\.example\.com$ [NC] RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://example.com/$1 [L,R=301] RewriteCond %{SERVER_PORT} 443 RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^www\.example\.com$ [NC] RewriteRule ^(.*)$ https://example.com/$1 [L,R=301] Like I said, everything works fine for redirect over https, so I'd rather not screw up what works. On the other hand something is very wrong with google finding all my back links, so I need to fix something... I'm just wondering that maybe google isn't picking up a my backlinks from other websites recording me as http because I'm at https. Maybe google doesn't care and it's some other issue. Am I barking up the right tree? If so any quick fixes? Thanks as always!

  • Unable to install Xdebug

    I've registered xdebug in php.ini (as per http://xdebug.org/docs/install) but it's not showing up when i run "php -m" or when i get a test page to run "phpinfo()". I've just installed the latest version of XAMPP. Can anyone provide any suggestions in getting xdebug to show up?     I have a project I'm working on and this seems like the simplest thing in the world, but the +[NSURL fileURLWithPath:] factory method is returning a strange URL. I created an empty sample project to isolate the problem and in my app delegate's applicationDidFinishLaunching: method I have this simple code: NSString *path = [@"~/Documents" stringByExpandingTildeInPath]; NSURL *url = [NSURL fileURLWithPath:path]; NSLog(@"%@ | %@", path, url); and the NSLog result looks like this: /Users/myusername/Documents | file://localhost/Users/myusername/Documents/ when I would expect the URL to be file:///Users/myusername/Documents. Any thoughts on why this is behaving like this? (10.6.3 in case it matters.)

    I am able to successfully put a link in the pdf with a friendly name: Anchor anchor = new Anchor("Google", linkFont); anchor.Reference = "https://www.google.com"; doc.Add(anchor); However, I cannot get get the anchor to work within a PdfPCell. Here is what I have tried so far: var memberCell = new PdfPCell(); Anchor anchor = new Anchor("Google", linkFont); anchor.Reference = "https://www.google.com"; memberCell.AddElement(new Anchor(anchor)); That displays the exception: System.ArgumentException: Element not allowed. I also tried: var memberCell = new PdfPCell(); Anchor anchor = new Anchor("Google", linkFont); anchor.Reference = "https://www.google.com"; memberCell.AddElement(new Phrase(anchor)); This does not throw an exception but it isn't a link it is just the word "Google". I am using the newest version of iTextSharp at this time v.(5.4.4.0) Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

From parent window I open child window. Child window consist bindable richTextBox user control. After I close child window and use memory profiler view class with bindabelrichTextBox control and view model class is still hanging in memory. - this cause memory leaks.   • How do I use Google protobuf to communicate over a serial port?

    I'm working on a project that uses RXTX and protobuf to communicate with an application on a development board and I've been running into issues which implies that I'm likely doing things the wrong way. Here's what I currently have for writing the request to the board (the read code is similar): public void write(CableCommandRequest request, OutputStream out) { CodedOutputStream outStream = CodedOutputStream.newInstance(out); request.writeTo(outStreatm); outStream.flush(); } The OutputStream that is used is prepared by RXTX and the development board seems to indicate that data is being received, but it is getting garbled or is otherwise not being understood. There seems to be little documentation on using protobuf over a serial connection so I'm assuming that passing the OutputStream should be sufficient. Is this in fact correct, or is this the wrong way of sending the response over the serial connection?

    When I try to run my Java EE program in Netbeans consisting of servlets (java pages), JSP's, beans(java pages) and HTML pages I get this error in the output: In-place deployment at C:\Users\Derek\Documents\NetBeansProjects\EJBProject\EJBProject-war\build\web Initializing... deploy?path=C:\Users\Derek\Documents\NetBeansProjects\EJBProject\EJBProject-war\build\web&name=EJBProject-war&force=true failed on Personal GlassFish v3 Domain C:\Users\Derek\Documents\NetBeansProjects\EJBProject\EJBProject-war\nbproject\build-impl.xml:611: The module has not been deployed. BUILD FAILED (total time: 1 second) And then in the command prompt when I run asant run in the appropriate directory, I get: C:\Users\Derek\Documents\NetBeansProjects\EJBProject\nbproject\build-impl.xml:19: Class org.apache.tools.ant.taskdefs.condition.Not doesn't support the nested "antversion" element. Do you know why this would be? Why won't netbeans deploy my application so I can run and test it?

    I recently decided to switch from Eclipse to Android Studio. I imported a project I was working on and am now getting this error when I try to run the project.     Hello everyone! I'm trying to use DevIL with XCode but I can't get it to work. I tried using the "standard" method by doing "configure make make install" and using #import <IL/il> but it doesn't work.     Hi, I want to build a simple document server. The requirement for now is : provide a hierarchical directory structure for placing documents (like pdfs, doc files) that is accessible through a browser, and provide the facility to search for documents by name and then be able to download them from server. Right now, placing documents can be done manually (directly place the files into some designated directory). I can do the hierarchical structure part of the problem by adding some configs to Apache's httpd.conf file. Basically I create a root directory for documents and then give an alias to this directory in httpd.conf file. That way, I can browse the directory structure in my browser and also download files placed there. I can provide more detail on this if needed. However, it is the searching documents by name part that I am not able to get to a clear solution yet. I have a few ideas like integrating Lucene with Apache server, or maybe using CouchDb, but I am not very sure of all the details to solve this problem. Could anyone suggest some clear approach as to how to solve this part ?

  • Is there a way to make a Google Web Toolkit (GWT) Button look like a HTML Hyperlink?

    I plan on appending some comments onto a text, to do that, first, I need the concerned text to act like a button for me to launch a popup, which in turn shows the comment. For that to happen, I need to make that concerned text to act like a button in GWT, but due to some aesthetic reasons I don't want it to look like a normal GWT Button, instead, I prefer it to look like any normal HTML hyper-link, which upon clicking it, acts exactly like a GWT Button which in turn showing the comment in the pop up. So is there a way to make a GWT Button appear more like a html hyper-link? Or, at the minimum, would it be possible to convert the concerned text to .JPG for it to be inserted into a Image Button in GWT?
