[Three20] How to adjust width of TTStyledTextLabel ?

Hi I am implementing an IM app on iOS. I found that three20 library has a TTStyledTextLabel which provides cool features like showing images and url links. However I want to embed the TTStyledTextLabel in a message bubble (just like the sms app shipped with iphone does), where I need the label to adjust its size according to the text length. I found that TTStyledTextLabel can adjust its height according to its width, but I don't know how to make it shrink horizontally when the text is very short and can't fill up a whole line. Any suggestions?

double authentication issue on IIS / Report Server (SQL server 2008)

Hi, On a 2003 server box, with SQL server 2008 installed (ReportServer deployed in IIS mode), I've got a virtual directory within IIS with it's security set to 'windows authentication', with the following html code: <body> <h1>test</h1> <iframe src="/reportserver" witdh="50%" height="50%" /> </body> From the outside, I've got a first login/pwd box displayed to access the html code, then a second one to display the content of the iframe. On the same type of server, but with SQL Server 2005, I don't have this issue (i.e. only one login box). My thought is that the first token should give acces to both the page and the iframe, isn't it? Any hints on how to setup the reportserver to fix this? thanks.

flvplayer.swf player to play the video?

Hi, I am using flvplayer.swf player, it is playing the videos,but before playing the video the player has black screen and a play button. When I click the play button the video plays. Is it possible to show a screen-shot of the video with the play button on top, instead of the blank screen? Zooming to UIView and it's sub-views

Hi, I have a UIView which I can zoom to (as it is set as a subview of UIScrollView). UIView has UILabel, UITextField, etc. If I just zoom to the UIView, then of course label and text field get fuzzy (the same effect if you are zooming to the image file without changing image resolution). To solve the problem I need to increase the font size and sizes of the UILable and UITextField in according to the scale used to zoom in (scale is passed as a param by the UIScrollView). This is where I am getting confused. Changing frame (by increasing it width and height by zooming scale) I get all my elements (sub-views) repositions (because changing frame effects center and bounds) Question: 1. What would I need to do to zoom in to the sub-views and just increase the sub-view sizes while keeping them in the exactly the same position? thanks

Why does some images not display in different browsers?

I've unreal problem. I have a site, where are displaying images over an classical <img> tag. All images are loading from the database, where is URL column of the image. My problem is that three of ten images are not display. But if I open the source code and click at the URL of the image, I can see image. In source code is some looks like (just for a simple example): <img src = "http://some.image/1.jpg" alt = "description" height = "140" width = "187" /> But the biggest snag is that Opera displays all images correct, but just in FF, IE, Chrome are mentioned problems. I can not provide a screenshots, because the pages are a bit perverse. How can I show the site where the problem is? Or some advice? Thank you.

jQuery ajax request to php, how to return plain text only

I am making an ajax request to a php page and I cannot for the life of me get it to just return plain text. $.ajax({ type: 'GET', url: '/shipping/test.php', cache: false, dataType: 'text', data: myData, success: function(data){ console.log(data) } }); in test.php I am including this script to get UPS rates. I am then calling the function with $rate = ups($dest_zip,$service,$weight,$length,$width,$height); I am doing echo $rate; at the bottom of test.php. When viewed in a browser shows the rate, that's great. But when I request the page via ajax I get a bunch of XML. Odd problem with IE8 and z-index CSS property

I not been able to put one DIV over his parent DIV in Internet Explorer. With Firefox is working as suposed to. The odd part is that if I open the html file directly in IE, everything works fine. But if I upload to the server and open from there, the div is hidden underneath his parent. I've tried several z-index combinations and none works. Silverlight/WPF: Retreiving the size of a `UIElement` once it has been rendered on screen

I have the following simple piece of code: var canvas = new Canvas(); foreach (var ztring in strings) { var textblock = new TextBlock(); textblock.Text = ztring; panel.Children.Add(textblock); textblock.Measure(infiniteSize); } At this point I would expect any of the size properties (Height/Width, ActualHeight/ActualWidth, DesiredSize, RenderSize) to give me the size of the textblock. None of them do. ActualHeight always gives 16.0 no matter what size font. ActualWidth changes according to the text length but not the font size. I change the font size on the parent container and not the TextBlock itself. I feel like I am missing some basic element of understanding the manipulation of silverlight elements from within the codebehind. The question is: how do I get the real actual pixel size of my TextBlock?

JQuery overlay - issues with opening twitter "Allow Access" box

Floating Tables Problem Unwanted Space XHTML Strict

Hi I have two floating tables side by side. One is set to float left, the other one is set to float right. The problem is when two table are floating, they both are out of flow so next table comes without any spacing. So I add a width attribute clear:both. Firefox HTML5 video playback inconsistancy

Hey all, I've got an HTML5 video on a page. When tested locally, Chrome, Safari, and Opera work beautifully. Firefox plays it, but doesn't loop as efficiently as the others. The real problem is when it's tested off a server. Firefox doesn't play the video, but recognizes there is one there. I was wondering if all that open ended three-different-ways syntax can be swung in Firefox's favor. Thanks! Prevent Carousel scroll within scrollable Container (Sencha 2)?

I've got a Container with a header, content (Carousel) and a footer. The Container itself is therefor scrollable (vertical) to be able to scroll down to the footer. The Carousel can be swiped horizontally to change active item. How to move to a location in a web browser component?

I have a .NET windows form page and a WebBrowser component inside. I load a page inside the web browser using the Navigate method as in: webBrowser1.Navigate("http://www.stackoverflow.com"); The pages length is longer than the browsers height, so the vertical scroll bar appears. Now I want to move the scrollbar down to a specific position. More specifically I want to search for a specific peace of text inside the page, and scroll to that position. This behavior is implemented in the built-in "Find" function of the browser, but I can't figure out how to call the Find function from within my code, without the Find window appearing. Although I don't want the Find window to appear, if the text matches are highlighted it is welcome.

Is it possible to serve an ASPX page without it setting a cookie on your browser?

Hi, we're in the process of trying to speed up the performance of our website by serving static content from a cookieless domain. That seems to be going well, but I have a new question: I know that it's "static content" that we're talking about when serving it from a cookieless domain, but we also have static content being served by ASPX pages, specifically images. For example: domain.com/resizeImages.aspx?src=images/image123.jpg&width=400&height=400 Pretty standard stuff, and although it's being served by managed code, it's still a static image. So my question is: Is it ok to serve the resizeImages.aspx image from our cookieless/static domain? And if so, how do I go about stopping ASP.NET from setting a ANONYMOUSASPX cookie every time I try? Why does the HTML5 DOCTYPE mess with my padding?

I have an html5 page with a navbar. Completely scratch coded. I just recently added a doctype to the item, and now I’m getting extra space under my navbar. If I remove the doctype declaration, it goes back to normal. I have completely reset padding, margins, etc. on everything, and cut it down to the a small amount of code that illustrates the issue.
