• Flex: Using NumericStepper as an itemEditor in a DataGrid

  I am trying to make one field in a datagrid editable with a numeric stepper. My current attempts look like they are working, but the dataProvider is not actually being changed. Based on what I have read in a billion different places, the syntax should be < mx:DataGridColumn dataField="a" itemRenderer="mx.controls.NumericStepper" rendererIsEditor="true" editorDataField="value" / > I have tried several variations on this theme, and nothing seems to work. What am I missing?

  I've implemented IAlertUpdateHandler interface in a class and used it for handling creation and updating of alerts. The code is fired but it goes into endless loop by calling itself again and again. Actually I want to suppress email notification so I'm calling a.Update(false); but this again calls PreUpdate or PostUpdate method and there is StackOverFlowException :( I've tried returning true/false from both the methods but nothing is helping.

• Disabling JComboBox and retaining original item list

  My action listener on a JComboBox invokes a thread. I would like the component to be disabled until the thread completes. I have tried calling seEnabled(false) when the thread start and setEnabled(true) when it completes. Unfortunately setEnabled(false) clears the combo box list as well. Is there a way of disabling the component but retain the original list?

• Shift+Tab not working in TreeView control

  I cannot get backwards navigation using Shift+Tab to work in a TreeView that contains TextBoxs, forward navigation using Tab works fine and jump from TextBox to TextBox inside the TreeView. Anytime Shift+Tab is used when one of the TextBoxes inside the TreeView, then the focus is move to the previous control outside the TreeView, instead of the previous control inside the TreeView. Also its only Shift+Tab navigation that are not working correctly, Ctrl+Shift+Tab work as expected and in the correct order. Any suggestions to what I'm doing wrong?   I'm a little unclear on the difference between reflow + repaint (if there's any difference at all) Seems like reflow might be shifting the position of various DOM elements, where repaint is just rendering a new object. E.g. reflow would occur when removing an element and repaint would occur when changing its color. Is this true?

I need for the editor to have a greater height then the renderer, i.e., the row should expand(in height) when it goes into edit mode. However, even when the list's variableRowHeight is set to true, it doesn't do what I want: the height seems to be based on the height of the renderer only, not the editor. Is there any way to do what I want?

As I know in .Net asymmetric RSA implementation private key RSAParameters parameters = (new RSACryptoServiceProvider()).ExportParameters(true) is a superset of public key. And using private key we can both encode and decode our data. But I need key only for decoding data. How to do it? I experimented on nulling RSAParameters fields, but RSACryptoServiceProvider object can't import such parameters.

  Hi all, jQuery newbie here. I need to be able to set multiple cookies within the code without have to change out this variable each and every time. Is there any way to make this code generate unique cookies for different pages? As it is now, I'm having to rename that variable for each page that the jQuery animations exist on.   hi, After being through numerous forums available on the net for last 5 days, I am still not able to completely track down the browser close event. My requirement is to generate a popup message, when user tries to close the browser. I have called my javascript function on body 'onbeforeunload' event. And I have hardcoded the conditions to check the mouse-coordinates for the red 'X' buton of browser, refresh, File-close or Alt-F4. My code works fine when browser window is Maximized, but fails if we shrink it after a limit. Please help me, if some body has already found the solution to a similar problem. Thank you. Aggregated Responses of OP Ok, just tell me if it is possible to detect if a user has clicked on the Refresh button of the browser. Also, Refresh can be triggered by Right-click - Refresh or Ctrl-R. Hi ppl, Thanks for all who replied atleast. I have talked to my seniors regarding this and they have now understood and have compromised with the browser menu buttons. So now my task has become easy.
