  • Mapping of relative path to absolute path of webpage links

    I am Final Year IT Engineering student. I am Doing Content Management System in ASP.net for my college. I have given link on my master page for various pages in the application; where I have specified only relative path of those pages. When I run this project and follow any link it works well for only first time and for second time when I click any link it .net run time environment unable to find the absolute address of that page. This may be problem due to relative addressing. How can I resolve this problem? Can anybody help me out?

    I am using tiny mce with a script I built for uploading some content to a blog like system. Whenever I add a link via tiny mce I get this error.   • How do I animate text links in jquery?

    I am somewhat new to jquery and I have a problem with something I am trying to implement using jquery. I have a vertical navigation menu where each link animates on hover by changing color, increasing letter spacing, and adding a border on the left. Everything is working the way I want it to except for when I click on the link. After I click on the link, the text changes to a different color and remains that same color even when I hover over the link. I am wanting to make it to where the color change on hover remains intact even after I click the link. I'm sure I am missing something simple, but I have tried everything I know to do with no luck. Any suggestions would be helpful!   • Stringbuilder problem creating dynamic links

    Hi all, I'm having an issue creating a link like "<a href="javascript:window.open('www.microsoft.com');">Visit Microsoft</a> using stringbuilder. I am adding html to a panel dynamically and I am trying to create a popup link. The problem is that for some reason the link gets "mixed up".     Good Day, I am developing a website that has product images on an external server. I have code that tests to see if the image exists like (pseudo code): DynamicString = FunctionThatCreatesDynamicString() ' DynamicString = "http://external_server/path/to/file1.jpg" If ImageExists(DyanmicString) = StatusCode.200 Then ' Embed link in ASP.NET page Else ' Embed not found image in ASP.NET page End If My code builds fine and appears to execute. The problem occurs when I attempt to view the external link in a browser, the image appears properly (I have to authenticate first, but that's OK considering I'm on an internal network and this app will be used internally). However, when I attempt the view the source in my generated HTML page, I am seeing the image to the "Not Found" image when I know the image is there. I compared all the characters in my dynamically assembled to the external link and all the characters are matching up correctly. I'm wondering if the authentication has anything to do with why the image is not rendering properly on my rendered HTML. Any thoughts? TIA, coson

  • CKEditor doesn't apply inline styles to links

    I'm using ckeditor version 3 as a text editor to create markup to be sent through email. This means that I have to have all the styles inline and anything that needs to be styled will definitely need the style applied. I'm currently using addStylesSet to generate custom styles that can be applied to elements. The problem I have is that although this works on most elements, styles don't seem to be applied to <a> <ol> <ul> and <li> I really need to be able to apply inline styles to these elements as well. I've been looking at the examples on the ckeditor site, but even they just seem to be wrapping a <span> around the link. Is there anyway I can apply inline styles to <a> tags or failing that, can I just give ckeditor a bunch of classes that can be applied to any tag (Like TinyMCE does with it's link to an external css file)? so that I can at least do a textreplace on them to get the styles inline? I haven't pasted any code here because it's exactly the same as what's been done on the ckeditor site.

  • how can i have a working dropdownlist with links from a csv in php

    I have a website that loads a CSV, divides it into parts, and shows these parts. There are 7 parts, and since it is for a music store it is sliced like this: the name of the product the subname the price the stock in one shop the stock of the other shop the group name the brandname What i have now is that it shows 12 products on 1 page, with a next and previous link on top of the page. The pages are made with the group name, every group has it's own page, so you have a drums page, guitar page, speaker page. That all works great. What i programmed in there is a dropdownlist, it drops down a list of brandnames, which should narrow the search for a person who is looking at the products. Problem is right now, that the dropdown menu works, i see the brands, but they are NONE clickable, only the brands that are currently on the page are shown, so NOT all the brands from that group are shown, only the 12 that are currently showing, when you press next, it shows 12 more brands, but i want them to be shown right on the start. And the third problem is, when it is showing the brands, it shows them double or triple, depending on how many products have the same brand.     Batch file search and replace using wildcards I have a html (txt) file I am using as a template or sourcefile to create further html files.  Filename = pg_0001.htm and it contains a line of code thus: pg_0001.jpg I want to parse the pg_0001.htm sourcefile, increment and replace the jpeg string, like this:  "pg_0002.jpg", and then output the edited htm file to a new filename pg_0002.htm I then take each newly created file (pg_0002.htm, pg_0003.htm etc) as the sourcefile and repeat the processing until I have reached my target goal (let's say 100 newly created htm files containing code to display the corresponding jpeg. It must be done this way (fileX.htm containing fileX.jpg) because there is other javascript that uses these incremented filenames as function input. I used to know how to write incrementing batch files many years ago but I'm old & very rusty now.  Can anyone please help me do this?  Many thanks in advance. regards Harry

    Currently I have something like this in my JSP <c:url value="/teams/${contact.id}/${contact.name}" /> The important part of my URL is the ID, I just put the name on it for SEO purposes (just like stackoverflow.com does). I was just wondering if there is a quick and clean way to encode the name (change spaces per +, latin chars removal, etc). I'd like it to be like this: <c:url value="/teams/${contact.id}/${supercool(contact.name)}" /> Is there a function like that out there or should I make my own?

  • Wordpress transfer to new ftp. Help, Home link doesn't work?

    Hi I've transfered my wordpress site to a new ftp server, but my home link doesn't work properly. When I click on it, it goes to http://123.456.78.8/mydomain.com and I get a page not found message. I've discovered it needs a / at the end to work. Does anyone know a way to fix this before I put it on my live site? Could it be a database or config file issue? Thanks for all your help Regards Judi P.S Could it be the permalink structure?   • Most efficient way for testing links

    I'm currently developping an app that is going through all the files on a server and checking every single hrefs to check wether they are valid or not. Using a WebClient or a HttpWebRequest/HttpWebResponse is kinda overkilling the process because it downloads the whole page each time, which is useless, I only need to check if the link do not return 404. What would be the most efficient way? Socket seems to be a good way of doing it, however I'm not quite sure how this works. Thanks for sharing your expertise!

  • Chrome renders button links completely screwed up when placed inside a paragraph

    I am fairly proficient in CSS but now I am running into a very strange rendering issue in Google Chrome 9. I am trying to create some fancy looking link buttons (basically heavily styled anchors). Here is some example markup: <a href="" class="button"> <figure class="sprite icon icon_back"></figure> Link button with icon</a> This markup may look a litte strange to you, there's a few things you should know: I am using HTML5's figure class to include an icon as part of the button. I have the proper reset CSS applied and Chrome can render this tag for sure. Instead of actually pointing to an image I am applying CSS classes to the figure element. Within the CSS I am using the spriting technique to show the correct portion of a single large sprite image. All of this is working fine in Firefox, and actually also in Chrome. The correct rendering can be seen in the following image: It renders like that in both Firefox and Chrome. Here comes the problem, if I place such a button within paragraph tags <p></p> this is what happens in Chrome only: Notice how the button is ripped apart? Only in Chrome and only when placed inside a paragraph. It gets even stranger: this only happens for the first button inside the paragraph, if I would place three buttons inside a paragraph, only the 1st one is screwed up. Your first question would probably be about the CSS. It is rather verbose so hereby a temporary link to the page in question: Edit: link to live page removed, was only temporary for problem inspection.
