• Trying to compile MobileSubstrate addon - Undefined symbol

  Hi! I went through this tutorial to create a MobileSubstrate addon. I could compile the example hook without errors. But as soon as I add #import <SpringBoard/SBAwayController.h> in ExampleHookProtocol.h and SBAwayController *awayController = [SBAwayController sharedAwayController]; in ExampleHookLibrary.mm (as the first line of the __$ExampleHook_AppIcon_Launch function) I get the following error message when attempting to make (triggered by the latter change): Undefined symbols: "_OBJC_CLASS_$_SBAwayController", referenced from: __objc_classrefs__DATA@0 in ExampleHookLibrary.o ld: symbol(s) not found collect2: ld returned 1 exit status make: *** [ExampleHook.dylib] Error 1. The header file for SBAwayController is located in /var/toolchain/sys30/usr/include/SpringBoard, just like SBApplicationIcon.h, which is used by the ExampleHook. I'm compiling on my iPod touch 2G.   I'm using Eclipse with C++ code via linked resources on Linux. The code analysis index seems to be corrupted (Goto definition lands the cursor close to, but not on, the definition) Refreshing resources doesn't fix it, neither does restarting Eclipse. Is there a way to flush the index and rebuild it?

  Hi all, Two rows in the my database have the following data: brand | product | style ================================================= Doc Martens | Doc Martens 1460 Boots | NULL NewBalance | New Balance WR1062 SG Width | NULL Mininum word length is set to 3, and a FULLTEXT index is created across all the three columns above. When I run a search for IS BOOLEAN matches for +doc in the index, I get the first row returned as a result. When I search for +new, I get no results. Can someone explain why? Thanks.

And we have an agreement with the clients that all files on the cloud must be encrypted. However, the generated index files on dt search can be read as plain text. Any ideas?

  I was porting a C++ program from Solaris Sparc to Solaris x86. The program utilizes OpenGL library and the compilation is performed in a Sun Ultra27 workstation with the default GCC (3.4.3) and OpenGL library come with the machine. However, the following OpenGL call couldn't found while linking: Undefined symbol first referenced in file sunOglCurPrimTablePtr ../../lib/libgltt.so sunOglCurrentContext ../../lib/libgltt.so which, both sunOglCurPrimTablePtr and sunOglCurrentContext should be available in the default OpenGL library /usr/lib/libGL.so (links to /usr/X11/lib/NVIDIA/libGL.so.1). But I couldn't find anything from it: > nm /usr/lib/libGL.so /usr/lib/libGL.so: Searching on web, SUN or Nvidia didn't lead to any helpful resource. Any clue or helps? Thanks!

  I'm about to adopt MongoDB for a new project and I've chosen it for flexibility, not scalability. From the documentation and web posts I keep reading that all indexes are in RAM. This just isn't making sense to me as my indexes will easily be larger than the amount of available RAM. Can anyone share some insight on the index/RAM relationship and what happens when both an individual index and all of my indexes exceed the size of available RAM?

  After following these steps to set up an iphone project with CoverStory, my build fails with two linker errors. Undefined symbols: "_vproc_transaction_end", referenced from: _gcov_exit in libgcov.a(_gcov.o) _vproc_transaction_end$non_lazy_ptr in libgcov.a(_gcov.o) (maybe you meant: _vproc_transaction_end$non_lazy_ptr) "_vproc_transaction_begin", referenced from: ___gcov_init in libgcov.a(_gcov.o) _vproc_transaction_begin$non_lazy_ptr in libgcov.a(_gcov.o) (maybe you meant: _vproc_transaction_begin$non_lazy_ptr) ld: symbol(s) not found collect2: ld returned 1 exit status The second error is similar to above, except for _vproc_transaction_begin. I'm using Xcode 3.2, GCC 4.2 on Snow Leopard. Any ideas what I'm missing?

  Hi, I'm unfamiliar to working in c++ under linux so I have some issues, one of them is that after I write a class and try to instantiate an object of that class I get to following error : "undefined reference to Constructor_of_that_class" . This happens for every class that I write , and it happens no matter where I try to do the instantiating, even if the code compiles without any problems . What is going wrong here and what I have to do to get over this error ? Because the project that I'm working wasn't created by me I suspect that it has to do something with some settings but I don't know which.

  I attempted to install the gmaps4rails gem. I added gem 'gmaps4rails' to my Gemfile, and ran 'bundle install. It said that my bundle installed successfully. I can find "Using gmaps4rails (0.8.8)" with 'gem list'. I added the specified columns to my users table with rake db:migrate and added acts_as_gmappable and the gmaps4rails_address method to my User model. Visiting pages that involve the user model gives me "undefined local variable or method 'acts_as_gmappable'"error. Is there something that I am missing? For greater context, the code I am using is from the Rails 3 Tutorial. OS X 10.6.6 ruby 1.8.7 rails 3.0.7 passenger 3.0.7
