    I have one device which sends data on COM port say on COM13, now i want to read that data and display it in the RichtextBox or in any text control , i have written the application with the help of IO and IO.Ports but comport.DataRecived event does not fire,even though device is sending data on that port, I have some software on which i define the port number and it successfully display data ,which insure me that data is reciving on the Port but i am unable to recive, is there any way i can read data?     Hi, for a little project I have to do the following task on my IPhone: open a TCP socket send a command to the server shutdown the WRITE part of the connection read the response from the server close the connection I'm not experienced with socket programming - I've just started with network programming and I've already used the CFStream interface.     Hi everybody, I don't know if it's a classic safari 4 bug, but apparently many people cannot display correctly a non-flash content (div, image, etc.) over a flash animation. I tried everything: The wmode (switching from "opaque" to "transparent"), the z-index and many other div "cheats". Did anyone know if there is a safari 4 patch/trick/script to fix this problem?     Hello all, I have tried to use the UIPrerenderedIcon/"Icon already includes gloss and bevel" on the Info.plist of my app and it worked perfectly on the Simulator, but not on the real device (iPod touch 2g). I have even tried to uninstall the app from the device, clean all builds but I still got the shine/gloss, that's really ruining my icon... Any thoughts? Best Regards, Muffie

    Hello, After implementing Nh.Burrow in an asp.net application, I was wondering how to do it for a WCF-service. My first idea was to put a the BurrowFramework().InitWorkSpace(); in each method and set the InstanceContextMode to per Call on these methods.     I have a wpf Window, which has wpf control and windows forms control hosted in WindowsFormsHost. The expected behavior is that the WPF control should be rendered on top of WindowsFormsHost. My question is a simple one: How can I persuade management (and developers for that matter) to move over to using WCF as opposed to other web service technologies (ASMX/CFC)?   • Refresh text shown in a Gtk Widget

    Hi Guys, Being resonably new to using GTK, im not fully aware of all its functionality. Basically, i have a GtkTreeView widget that has 4 Columns. I need to update the text displayed in the 4 columns every couple of seconds, but im not aware how to do this in GTK. Im aware that i could flush the data using gtk_tree_store_clear, but im not sure how to repopulate the columns and have the top level window refresh to show this new data. Any ideas? Regards Paul

But as soon as I add binmode(STDOUT, ":encoding(ISO-8859-1)"); to my script file, I get an error like "segmentation fault", "access denied".
