• How to determine if scrolling a UITableView was done by tapping the index?

  Hello, all ... I want to determine when the index (transparent alphabet) along the side of a UITableView is tapped. To be more specific, I have a sectioned UITableView that has an index, and said index does the right thing, but when the UITableView's -scrollViewDidScroll method is called, I want to be able to determine if said scrolling was the result of the user tapping the index, vs. dragging or swiping the table view itself. If anyone has ideas on how to do this, i'd love to hear about them :-) Regards, John

• Perl Threads with binmode

  Hi Folks, this call my $th = threads->create(\&print, "Hello thread World!\n"); $th->join(); works fine. But as soon as I add binmode(STDOUT, ":encoding(ISO-8859-1)"); to my script file, I get an error like "segmentation fault", "access denied".   Hi guys, I have an python error AttributeError: 'module' object has no attribute 'initialize' I am running Python 2.6.2 on Solaris 10 UNIX and recently installed the pythonldap 2.3.9. The script is very basic, only has these 2 lines. Can anyone tell me why?? • Axis web service can't be invoked from web application

  Hi all, I have a simple axis 1.4 web service which I deployed successfully and can invoke it from main method of a Java class. This works fine but when I try to invoke it from a web application it throws an exception saying 'Class not found' for the class 'ws/impl/AwardWebServiceSoapBindingStub'. • Winsock Connect Problem with Eset Nod32

  Dear All, my socket library which is implemented using winsock2 is working properly. But when ESET Nod32 installed on the computer, connect() function returns 0(zero) ,that is success, even if remote host is not available. I looked with netstat -b command and saw that ekrn.exe is accepting the client. And after couple of seconds it sends zero byte of information,which means graceful close.
