• C++ vtable resolving with virtual inheritance

  I was curious about C++ and virtual inheritance - in particular, the way that vtable conflicts are resolved between bass and child classes. I won't pretend to understand the specifics on how they work, but what I've gleamed so far is that their is a small delay caused by using virtual functions due to that resolution. My question then is if the base class is blank - ie, its virtual functions are defined as: virtual void doStuff() = 0; Does this mean that the resolution is not necessary, because there's only one set of functions to pick from? Forgive me if this is an stupid question - as I said, I don't understand how vtables work so I don't really know any better.

  Let's suppose we have an element like this one in the main xml file: <group name="gr1" filename="groups/gr1.xml"/>. The second file gr1.xml contains something like this: <item name="i1">Item one</item> <item name="i2">Item two</item> <item name="i3">Item three</item> Note that there is no XML declaration in gr1.xml, just plain items without single parent node. So… Which is the best way to replace <group/> with its <item/>s? I have already tried some things like manual enclosing of gr1.xml content into a single node with XML declaration and loading it into XmlDocument, but it doesn't look like a good solution.

  Hi all, I have the following DB model: **Person table** ID | Name | StateId ------------------------------ 1 Joe 1 2 Peter 1 3 John 2 **State table** ID | Desc ------------------------------ 1 Working 2 Vacation and domain model would be (simplified): public class Person { public int Id { get; } public string Name { get; set; } public State State { get; set; } } public class State { private int id; public string Name { get; set; } } The state might be used in the domain logic e.g.: if(person.State == State.Working) // some logic So from my understanding, the State acts like a value object which is used for domain logic checks. But it also needs to be present in the DB model to represent a clean ERM. So state might be extended to: public class State { private int id; public string Name { get; set; } public static State New {get {return new State([hardCodedIdHere?], [hardCodeNameHere?]);}} } But using this approach the name of the state would be hardcoded into the domain. Do you know what I mean? Is there a standard approach for such a thing? From my point of view what I am trying to do is using an object (which is persisted from the ERM design perspective) as a sort of value object within my domain. What do you think? Question update: Probably my question wasn't clear enough. What I need to know is, how I would use an entity (like the State example) that is stored in a database within my domain logic. • What sort of object is this and how to use it?

  What would be the correct name for this type of array? There are 3 main sections and 4 sub-parts consisting of "issuedTime" "text" "url" and "validToTime", how do you start to convert this to an object? If there was only 1 main section, it would be fairly simple to do however with 3 main parts and no identification for each main section has me scratching my head as where to start.   I am trying to convert an Adobe CS4 based plugin to CS5. This project has never been mine, this is the first time that i am seeing it. When I compile the source with what i was given, I get errors like: Does not name a type Example: SPAPI SPErr SPBasicAcquireSuite( const char *name, int64 version, const void **suite ); I get that: SPErr does not name a type I dont see any classes with SPErr being defined, but I doubt that Adobe has left this out of the SDK. • What values does Camera.Parameters.set("picture-size", ?) take?

  Hi, my app involves some work with the camera, therefore it needs to handle capturing of images with different resolution. My targets are 1.6 - onwards. Does anyone know what to pass in the value argument for Camera.Parameters.set("picture-size", value) I have look at the Donut release of the Camera app, however, it was not very clear what exactly has been used there as the value is retrieved from the SharedPreferences. // Set picture size parameter. String pictureSize = mPreferences.getString(CameraSettings.KEY_PICTURE_SIZE, getString(R.string.pref_camera_picturesize_default)); mParameters.set(PARM_PICTURE_SIZE, pictureSize); Lookin at the strings.xml I can see that R.string.pref_camera_picturesize_default = 2048x1536, however, I'm not sure what other values can be passed there? Is it any resolution you fancy, or are they only certain resolutions the drivers can handle? Thanks.

  Could anybody explain whether it is safe to reinitialize an object by calling "self.init(". as shown in the following simplified example? The reason i'm asking is that i couldn't find this method neither in several python books nor in internet. There are some who suggest to list all attributes and set them to initial value one by one. I have one column slider, which is placed in between column 1 and column 3. Column 2 contains slider itself. But when i move the slider from column1 on column 3. That means column1 will only be visible right now. But when i move the slider to the right corer it clears the screen. • Subversion: who am I logged in as?

  I am working on a collaborative project, and I would like to know who I am logged in as. Am I logged in as myself or someone else? If I check in my work, what username will be associated with the commit? I am never prompted for a username or password. When I commit changes, they just get committed under someone else's name. I would like them to be committed under my name. I tried the "--username" option as described on this page, but it didn't seem to work. I did a commit and it was done under the other user's name. I would like some way of knowing for sure that my changes will be committed under my name before I do the commit.

I can't remove many-to-one mapping because that also disables explicit loading or a query like from x in session.Query<Comment>() where x.Owner.Title == "hello" select x; I specified lazy="true" and set use_proxy_validator property to false. But that also eager loads Owner. Is there any way to load only Post entity?
