  • Data not displayed first time in android after copying the file from assets to data folder

    Description I have used the code tip from http://www.reigndesign.com/blog/using-your-own-sqlite-database-in-android-applications/ to copy a pre-filled data file to the target and handled this in a asynch task Problem : On starting the application it gives error and shuts down first time, starting again without any change it works perfectly fine. So first time after the file is copied, the error comes but after that no issues.   • VMR9Allocator (DirectShow .NET + SlimDX)

    I was trying to convert and run the VMR9Allocator sample for DirectShow .NET with SlimDX instead of MDX. I got an exception when it reach this line return vmrSurfaceAllocatorNotify.SetD3DDevice(unmanagedDevice, hMonitor) In the AdviseNotify method in Allocator.cs. The exception is "No such interface supported", and the hr return was "0x80004002". The sample runs fine with MDX, and my SlimDx is also working, as I've written another 3d apps using it, working fine. I can't seems to find out what went wrong, no help from googling as well. Apparently not much ppl uses this combination, and non that i can find actually stumble into this problem. Any idea guys? NOTE: I've asked the same question over at gamedev.net 2 weeks back, no answer thus far.

    Hello all! I have an application consisting of two windows, one communicates to the other and sends it a struct constaining two integers (In this case two rolls of a dice). I will be using events for the following circumstances: Process a sends data to process b, process b displays data Process a closes, in turn closing process b Process b closes a, in turn closing process a I have noticed that if the second process is constantly waiting for the first process to send data then the program will be just sat waiting, which is where the idea of implementing threads on each process occurred and I have started to implement this already. The problem i'm having is that I don't exactly have a lot of experience with threads and events so I'm not sure of the best way to actually implement what I want to do. How do i call this method and pass in the values?

  • How to deal with class composition when components cannot be accessed from the outside?

    For example if I say I have three classes A, B, and C where B and C have a composition relation ship with A. That means the life of B and C is handled by A, and also B and C cannot access directly from the outside. For some reason my DataService class needs to return objects of B and C as It cant return a object of A as B and C cannot be initialized at the same time. (to be able to initializeC you have to initializeB first). So that I'm returning DataTables from DataService and then inside the class A those data tables are converted to B / C objects. If B and C objects cannot be initialized at the same time is it valid to say that B and C have a composition relationship with A? If its composition is it must to generate A with B and C inside? What is the proper way to handle this sort of a problem? EDIT: Following code explains the way I'm doing it now with DataTables. Example: class A { private List<B> B; private List <C> C; public A() { B= new List<B>(); C= new List<C>(); } public List<B> GetB( DataTable dt) { // Create a B list from dt return B; } } class Presenter { private void Show B() { _View.DataGrid = A.GetB(DataService.GetAListOfB()); } } The actual scenario is I have a class called WageInfo and classes Earning and Deduction having a composition relationship in the design. But for you to generate Deductions first you should Generate earnings and should be saved in a table. Then only you can generate deductions for the earnings to calculate balance wages. Also note that these contained classes have a one to many relationship with the containing class WageInfo. So actually WageInfo has a List<Earnings> and List<Deduction> My initial question was, is it ok if my DataService class returns Deductions / Earnings objects (actually lists) not a WageInfo? Still not clear?

  • vim plugin to show current Perl subroutine

    I'm trying to make a vim plugin that will split the window on load and simulate a info bar at the top of my terminal. I've got it sorta working but I think I've either reached limits of my knowledge of vim syntax or there's a logic problem in my code. The desired effect would be to do a reverse search for any declaration of a Perl subroutine form my current location in the active buffer and display the line in the top buffer. I'm also trying to make it skip that buffer when I switch buffers with <C-R>. My attempt at that so far can be seen in the mess of nested if statements. Anyway, here's the code.     I have a list of strings containing filenames such as, file_names = ['filei.txt','filej.txt','filek.txt','file2i.txt','file2j.txt','file2k.txt','file3i.txt','file3j.txt','file3k.txt'] I then remove the .txt extension using: extension = os.path.commonprefix([n[::-1] for n in file_names])[::-1] file_names_strip = [n[:-len(extension)] for n in file_names] And then return the last character of each string in the list file_names_strip: h = [n[-1:] for n in file_names_strip] Which gives h = ['i', 'j', 'k', 'i', 'j', 'k', 'i', 'j', 'k'] How can i test for a pattern of strings in h? So if i,j,k occur sequentially it would return True and False if not. I need to know this because not all file names are formatted like they are in file_names. So: test_ijk_pattern(h) = True no_pattern = ['1','2','3','1','2','3','1','2','3'] test_ijk_pattern(no_pattern) = False

Is it a good idea to expose a View from the Presenter in order to supply it as a parameter to Application.Run()? In my SearchTableViewController I have the following two methods: - (BOOL)searchDisplayController:(UISearchDisplayController *)controller shouldReloadTableForSearchString:(NSString *)searchString { // Tell the table data source to reload when text changes [self filterContentForSearchText:searchString]; // Return YES to cause the search result table view to be reloaded. return YES; } // Update the filtered array based on the search text -(void)filterContentForSearchText:(NSString*)searchText { // Remove all objects from the filtered search array [self.filteredLocationsArray removeAllObjects]; NSPredicate *predicate = [CoreDataMaster predicateForLocationUsingSearchText:@"Limerick"]; CoreDataMaster *coreDataMaster = [[CoreDataMaster alloc] init]; // Filter the array using NSPredicate self.filteredLocationsArray = [NSMutableArray arrayWithArray: [coreDataMaster fetchResultsFromCoreDataEntity:@"City" UsingPredicate:predicate]]; } You can probably guess that my problem is with returning the array from [coreDataMaster fetchResultsFromCoreDataEntity]. I've tried added a NSNotification which passes the NSDictionary to this method: - (void)updateSearchResults:(NSNotification *)notification { NSDictionary *userInfo = notification.userInfo; NSArray *array = [userInfo objectForKey:@"results"]; self.filteredLocationsArray = [NSMutableArray arrayWithArray:array]; [self.tableView reloadData]; } I've also tried refreshing the searchViewController like [self.searchDisplayController.searchResultsTableView reloadData]; but to no avail. I'd really appreciate it if someone could point me in the right direction and show me where I might be going wrong. Thanks

    Recently i have implemented django-sphinx search on my website. It is working fine of each separate model. But now my client requirement has changed. To implement that functionality i need field name to whom search is made. suppose my query is: "select id, name,description from table1" and search keyword is matched with value in field "name". So i need to return that field also. Is it possible to get field name or any method provided by django-sphinx which return field name. Please help me...
