• Chipmunk warning still present with --release

  I'm using Python27 on Windows 7 64-bit. I downloaded the source for Chipmunk 6.2.x and compiled Pymunk with --release and -c ming32. Almost zero problems. Lots of path not found cause I'm bad. All prints seem to have disappeared but I get spammed with EPA iteration warnings. I've seen a couple discussions but no solutions. Possible chipmunk betas to fix the float errors causing the double truths causing the warning. I picked the latest stable version I think. My program is seriously bogged down with all the prints. class NullDevice(): def write(self, s): pass sys.stdout=NullDevice() Does not disable the C prints .< Any help?

• Silverlight DRY when animating multiple UserControls on main Navigation page.

  Hello all. Starting with Silverlight development. Yet to read a good Silverlight book: suggestions welcome. I have a main GUI screen where 7 user controls (menu items) 'swoop' into sight, all along their own path. I have the user controls nicely seperated and behaving well. Having multiple storyboards (1 each for each menuitem) with multiple keyframe animations (X,Y,height, width) in one .XAML is not sitting well with me. Repeating all those property values is hideous, neverthemind maintenance. I've tried to move values into the app.xaml and set animation durations with style keys, but having limited success. Can anyone suggest a nice way of making this cleaner? Refactor the storyboards out to their own control? Property values in resources? Dynamic building in codebehind? Referring me to a how-to site is fine as well. Tx!

• Sum value of XML attributes using PowerShell 2.0

  I have a directory with XML files. I quickly want to go through them and sum upp the value stored in one attribute. I have figured out how to fidn the nodes I am interested in. For example: (Select-Xml -Path .\*.xml -XPath "//*[@Attribue = 'valueImlookingfor']").Count This command gives me the count of elements in all of the XML files in the current directory which has the value "valueImlookingfor" in the "Attribue". I want to sum up all the values of the "Attribute", not count them. What would be the best way to do this in PowerShell? I am new to PowerShell so this may be trivial but un-known to me... All tips are much appreciated :-)

• Excel 2003 VSTO convert to PDF

  I have an excel workbook vsto solution that needs to generate a pdf copy of one of its sheets as output. I have a license for abcdpdf .net and tried outputting to html, then using abcpdf to convert the html to pdf, but the excel html markup tries to emulate excel with all 4 worksheets with horrible markup. It also messes up the colors (silver background across entire workbook). Any suggestions? Here is the code I'm currently using to generate the html file: FileInfo excelDoc = new FileInfo(Globals.ThisWorkbook.Path + @"\Document.html"); Globals.Sheet2.SaveAs(excelDoc.FullName, Excel.XlFileFormat.xlHtml, missing, missing, false, false, Excel.XlSaveAsAccessMode.xlNoChange, missing, missing, missing); If I hack away some of the html header tags manually, I can get abcdpf to accept it, but the formatting is a bit off and this solution seems sub optimal. • File.mkdir is not working and I can't understand why

  Hello, I've this brief snippet: String target = baseFolder.toString() + entryName; target = target.substring(0, target.length() - 1); File targetdir = new File(target); if (!targetdir.mkdirs()) { throw new Exception("Errore nell'estrazione del file zip"); } doesn't mattere if I leave the last char (that is usually a slash). It's done this way to work on both unix and windows. The path is actually obtained from the URI of the base folder. As you can see from baseFolder.toString() (baseFolder is of type URI and is correct). The base folder actually exists. I can't debug this because all I get is true or false from mkdir, no other explanations.The weird thing is that baseFolder is created as well with mkdir and in that case it works. Now I'm under windows. the value of target just before the creation of targetdir is "file:/C:/Users/dario/jCommesse/jCommesseDB" if I cut and paste it (without the last entry) in windows explore it works...

• UITableView Cell IndexPath

  Hello, Can anyone tell me how can I get a cell IndexPath? I was saving the IndexPath in the tableView: cellForRowAtIndexPath: method but this only loads when the cell is viewed and I need to know its index path on the viewDidLoad method. this resulted in a null value because as I said it only loads its value after the cell was viewed once. Thank you. EDIT The intention is being able to jump to a specific cell that has its specific number but its not linear with the sections and rows count.

  I'm drawing images to pdf using Java framework iText. I need to draw lines of specified width. There is a method setLineWidth(float width) in class PdfContentByte that should change it. However no matter what value I pass as its parameter the lines drawn are always extra thin. There is following line in javadoc of setLineWidth: The line width specifies the thickness of the line used to stroke a path and is measured in user space units. I don't know what is "space unit". Everything else in iText seems to be measured in point(around 1/72 inch). I cant find any reference to what are those "space units" and how to change them. code: to.setLineWidth(thickness); to.moveTo(x, y); to.lineTo(x + 100, y + 100);

• xperf can't load my DLL's symbols

  I'm trying to use xperf to profile my DLL, but it refuses to use my DLL's PDB file. Running xperf on the .etl with -symbols, I get: DBGHELP: mydll- private symbols & lines C:\mydll\debugu\mydll.pdb - unmatched Which leads me to believe it thinks my PDB doesn't match the DLL the application is using. This is wrong; it does match. I've confirmed the path of the DLL the application is linking with using procexp, completely rebuilt the project, and so on. It still thinks it doesn't match. Any ideas on what could be wrong?

  I have an ASP NET web server application that calls another process running on the same box that creates a pdf file and returns it. The second process requires a secure connection via SSL. The second process has issued my ASP NET application with a digital certificate but I still cannot authenticate, getting a 403 error. The code is a little hard to show but here's a simplified method ...   I have written a program in C# which connects to a POP Server and retrieves raw email message strings from the server using POP3 command RETR. Since the email message being retrieved by the program is in plain text format with all the headers and message body with in the same, its too difficult to extract each header and mail body from the raw string. Could anybody tell me a solution by which I can parse the entire raw text to a System.Net.Mail.MailMessage object? • How to return all aspnet_compiler errors (not just those in first directory)

  Hi there! Is there a way to get the aspnet_compiler to go through all views and return all errors, rather than just the errors in the current view directory? For example, lets say I have a project that has a bunch of folders... Views Folder1 Folder2 Folder3 Folder4 Two of them (Folder2 and Folder3) have errors. aspnet_compiler will run, and only return the errors it comes across in Folder2. It won't return those in Folder3 at the same time. Once I fix the errors in Folder2 and run it again, it'll then pick up the ones in the Folder3. I fix those. And then have to run the tool again, and again until it's all fixed. This is getting annoying!! • Eclipse RCP Application Fails to launch second time

  I have an Eclipse RCP application that will launch properly after a clean install (right after build). The issue is that if I try to launch the application a second time the application throws an exception. I have narrowed the issue down to this file being created after the first run: ~install_dir/configuration/org.eclipse.osgi/.state Has anyone run into a similar issue where the .state file prevents the application from being launched anytime after that first run? I'm hesitant to look at the exception as this does not happen the first time, so I suspect org.eclipse.osgi is more to blame. The details of the exception are: "Error creating bean with name 'luceneRawQueryComposer' defined in class path resource [spring/dataaccess/daoCMClient.xml]: Cannot resolve reference to bean 'indexUtility' while setting bean property 'indexUtility'; NoSuchBeanDefinitionException

• WPF Custom Control with Image problem

  Hi all, I am quite new to WPF/XAML and I am currently facing a problem. I have a solution with two projects in it, the first project is a Custom Control Library with a custom Window form control inside. The second project is a WPF application using my custom window form. All work fine except for the form Icon. In the WPF application project I set my window icon property to "/ProjectTwoNameSpace;component/Resources/Images/Film.ico", and in the WPF custom control I try to show that image that way : <Image Grid.Column="0" Margin="3" Width="27" Height="27"> <Image.Source> <BitmapImage UriSource="{Binding Path=Icon}" /> </Image.Source> </Image> But it doesn't work, I get a error at runtime saying that the property UriSource or StreamSource must be set for my tag. Anyone can help me ? I think it's jsut a WPF newbie problem ^^

• OpenCV to use in memory buffers or file pointers

  The two functions in openCV cvLoadImage and cvSaveImage accept file path's as arguments. For example, when saving a image it's cvSaveImage("/tmp/output.jpg", dstIpl) and it writes on the disk. Is there any way to feed this a buffer already in memory? So instead of a disk write, the output image will be in memory. I would also like to know this for both cvSaveImage and cvLoadImage (read and write to memory buffers). Thanks! My goal is to store the Encoded (jpeg) version of the file in Memory. Same goes to cvLoadImage, I want to load a jpeg that's in memory in to the IplImage format.

  I've been tasked (coursework @ university) to implement a form of path-finding. Now, in-spec, I could just implement a brute force, since there's a limit on the number of nodes to search (begin, two in the middle, end), but I want to re-use this code and came to implement Dijkstra's algorithm. I've seen the pseudo on Wikipedia and a friend wrote some for me as well, but it flat out doesn't make sense. The algorithm seems pretty simple and it's not a problem for me to understand it, but I just can't for the life of me visualize the code that would realize such a thing. Any suggestions/tips?

• Find workspace location using ANT

  I'm working on a build script in the Flash Builder version of Eclipse. This build script needs to import launch configuration .launch files into the user's workspace. However there doesn't seem to be an available ANT var for determining the workspace location. While stepping through the available vars with intellisense I noticed that ${osgi.instance.area} does point to my current workspace but when I tried to echo it back in a running ant script it just spat out "${osgi.instance.area}" and not the path. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!!!

'/photos', 'post', $args); print_r($data); This code is in a function.php file that gets called when a user clicks on a button inside of a flash file that is embedded on my canvas, so basically what I want it to do is, when the flash takes a screen shot and passes the variable "image" to the function, it should upload $_GET['image'] to the album. • Speech.Recognition GrammarBuilder/Choices Tree Structure

  In playing around with C#'s Speech Recognition, I've stumbled across a road block in the creation of an effective GrammerBuilder with Choices (more specifically, Choices of Choices). IE considering the following logical commands. One solution would to "hard code" every combination of Speech lines and add them to a GrammarBuilder (ie "SET LEFT COLOR RED" and "SET RIGHT CLEAR", however, this would quickly max out the limit of 1024, especially when dealing with number combinations. Another solution would to Append all 'columns' as "Choices" (and filter out incorrect paths upon 'recognition', however this seems like it's processor heavy and unnecessary. The middle ground, seems like the best path - with Choices of Choices - like a tree structure on a GrammarBuilder - however I'm not sure how to proceed. Any suggestions?
