• Avoid htaccess redirecting to one folder Yii

  I have a website running over Yii Framework, I created a folder in the root path named blog, I installed a wordpress blog under this folder, but the files .htaccess that comes with yii is trying to redirect my request to www.domain.com/blog to the controller/action type which I don't want, I want to treat the blog folder as a completely app with no relation to yii. here is what I've done so far Options +FollowSymLinks IndexIgnore */* RewriteEngine on RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} "/blog/" RewriteRule (.*) $1 [L] RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d RewriteRule . index.php as you can see I added the conditions to avoid redirecting for the blog folder but when I try to access the the url is telling me The page isn't redirecting properly. How can I solve this?? thanks

• Git push origin master

  I am new to git and recently set up a new account with github. I'm following a rails tutorial from Michael Hartl online ( http://www.railstutorial.org/book#fig:github_first_page ) and followed his instructions to set up my git which were also inline with the setup instructions at github. Anyways, the "Next Steps" section on github were: mkdir sample_app cd sample_app git init touch README git add README git commit -m 'first commit' git remote add origin [email protected]:rosdabos55/sample_app.git git push origin master I got all the way to the last instruction (git push origin master) without any problem. When I entered that last line into my terminal, however, I got this error message: "fatal: No path specified. See 'man git-pull' for valid url syntax." What might I be doing wrong?

• Localization with separate Language folders within Views

  I'm trying to have specific folders for each language in Views. (I know this isn't the best way of doing it but it has to be this way for now) e.g. /Views/EN/User/Edit.aspx /Views/US/User/Edit.aspx These would both use the same controller and model but have different Views for each language. In my Global.asax.cs I have routes.MapRoute( "Default", // Route name "{language}/{controller}/{action}/{id}", // URL with parameters new { language = "en", controller = "Logon", action = "Index", id = UrlParameter.Optional }, // Parameter defaults new { language = @"en|us" } // validation ); This works ok but always points to the same View. If I put the path to the Lanagugage folder it works return View("~/Views/EN/User/Edit.aspx"); but clearly this isn't a very nice way to do it. Is there anyway to get MVC to look in the correct language folder? Thanks and again I know this isn't the best way of doing Localization but I can't use resource files.

  Here's my situation: New to Ubuntu (just nstalled 9.10 Karmic Koala 64 bit) Purpose: to easily run PyCharm without too much typing (ie. cd... ./pycharm.sh) Want to create desktop Launcher instead of terminal & typing (without resorting to the "Run in Terminal" option) Tried to create Launcher to executes .sh script in Document directory Right-clicked Desktop Create Launcher a. Type == Application; Browse [insert absolute path to .sh script]; no luck b. Type == Application in Terminal; Browse ...ditto I'm open to any other alternatives that involve as little typing as possible. I would like to just start Ubuntu, click Launcher icons, and have terminals spring to life, running the intended scripts. Crazy? No. Lazy? Probably. Productive? Hopefully :)

  OK, I know how to call a simple old fashion asmx webservice webthod that returns a single value as a function return result. But what if I want to return multiple output params? My current approach is to separate the params by a dividing character and parse them on teh client. Is there a better way. Here's how I return a single function result.   Hi, I have been googling to figure out how I can customize the Date format when I use jax-rs on apache CXF. I looked at the codes, and it seems that it only support primitives, enum and a special hack that assume the type associated with @ForumParam has a constructor with a single string parameter. This force me to use String instead of Date if I want to use ForumParam. it is kind of ugly. But when I export my java eclipse project eclipse warn me with following message: "JAR export finished with warnings. See details for additional information. myproject/src/META-INF/MANIFEST.MF was replaced by the generated MANIFEST.MF and is no longer in the JAR." Anyone know how I can avoid this when I export my project in eclipse?

• locked stored procedures in sql

  Hi, I am not too familiar with sql server 2005. I have a schema in sql which has stored procedures with small lock on them. As I understand they were created using C#, all these locked procedures have a source file in C# with the code of the procedures. The thing is I can't access them. I need to modify one of these procedures but it doesn't let me modify them. I have the source code (from visual studio) with these procedures but when I change something in the code, it doesn't affect the procedures in the sql. How can I change the path to assembly in sql server 2005 or is there any other way I can access these stored procedures? Thanks in advance, Greg

• Will client JVM for a web service(https) throw an SSL Exception when the server is having a valid ce

  I have a web service deployed on tomcat hosted on a remote server. I have set it up such that it can be accessed only via HTTPS. For this, I generated a Certificate Signing Request (CSR) and used it to get a temporary certificate from VeriSign. My web service client is on my local machine. If I try to access the service it will throw a javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeException:unable to find valid certification path to requested target If I install the certificate in to local Java's keystore, the issue will be resolved. My question is if I install a valid SSL certificate from a CA in to my tomcat server, will I get this client-side error even if I do not import the certificate to local key store?

• How to do relative imports in Python?

  Imagine this directory structure: app/ __init__.py sub1/ __init__.py mod1.py sub2/ __init__.py mod2.py I'm coding mod1, and I need to import something from mod2. How should I do it? I tried from ..sub2 import mod2 but I'm getting an "Attempted relative import in non-package". I googled around but found only "sys.path manipulation" hacks. Isn't there a clean way? Edit: all my __init__.py's are currently empty Edit2: I'm trying to do this because sub2 contains classes that are shared across sub packages (sub1, subX, etc.). Edit3: The behaviour I'm looking for is the same as described in PEP 366 (thanks John B)

• SSIS FTP Task problem with UNIX server

  Hi, I would like to ask if there's a known issue with the FTP Task of SSIS 2005 on UNIX servers(HP UX B.11.23.). As per checking, we were able to ftp files on Windows Server but not on Unix. Though I can browse the ftp path of the UNIX server from my windows exlporer. I can even manually copy files. But when I tried uploading file thru SSIS FTP task, it does'nt work. Please help. • Drupal htaccess redirect - all files in directory to new directory

  Hiya, I've moved a site to Drupal, but am now getting a lot of 404 errors due to the search engines taking their time to update the indexes. The 404 paths all look similar to this: recipedata/ccp1300006/633_L.jpg recipedata/ccp1500005/risotto.jpg recipedata/ccp1500006/haddock.jpg So I'd like to do some htaccess redirection with mod_rewrite to take care of this lot. All the images DO exist - the path has just changed to /sites/default/files/images/ I've edited a lot of redirects into my htaccess already, but because the ccpXXXXXX directory changes I can't quite figure out the regex. This was my last attempt, but yeah - doesn't work :) Can anyone give me some pointers?   I'm working with someone else's code, so I don't know the whole picture, and I don't even know MVC that well, but here's the problem... In Site.Master there's a <%= Html.IncludeJs("ProductPartial")%> which produces this line in the final mark-up <script type="text/javascript" src="/Scripts/release/ProductPartial.js"></script> I made some changes in the JS file, but the old one is obviously cached by the browser, so the changes won't show up until the user refreshes. The usual workaround is to add a version tag at the end of the script source path, but I'm not sure how to do that in this case. Any suggestions?

  I am working on a custom .emacs file that I will be able to use on several different computers. I would like to be able to load a mode if it exists on the system. If it does not exist I would like Emacs to stop showing the error: File error: Cannot open load file, X. For example: (require 'darkroom-mode) Results in: File error: Cannot open load file, darkroom-mode I am using file-exists-p to test if certain other files exist but for this test I would assume I need to search my load-path. I am new to Lisp so this is stumping me.

The referenced method "humanize" isn't used for anything I'm doing at the moment, but belongs to the Model because it's used in several other places. Of course, removing the method is not really an option right now, and the model contains several other methods as well so I assume if I just move the humanize method around, it will generate an error on the next one. "djd7w4r1" read-1) JBREM000200: Remote connection failed: java.io.IOException: Received an invali d message length of -2140864253 Also disabled Remote authentication: -Dcom.sun.management.jmxremote -Dcom.sun.management.jmxremote.ssl=false -Dcom.sun.management.jmxremote.authenticate=false -Dcom.sun.management.jmxremote.port=12345 Still not able to connect. • Prevent Django from redirecting to add trailing slash

  UPDATED: Sorry, it looks like it's Apache that's rewriting it for some reason, not Django. I'll investigate further and post my findings. I need to add a /xmlrpc.php to my Byteflow installation to handle an application that is written for PHP blog engines and uses this hardcoded path. For some reason Byteflow appends a slash to this URL using a 301 Moved Permanently redirect, which breaks the application. It does not do so for the /robots.txt that is configured in a similar way. Relevant lines from the project urls.py: url(r'^xmlrpc.php$', 'django_xmlrpc.views.xmlrpc_handler'), url(r'^robots.txt$', include('robots.urls')), I read that the behavior was changed in the Django codebase in commit 6852 (in 2007) to prevent redirects being done for urls that have been explicitly configured not to contain any trailing slashes. I'm using Django 1.1. I assume that once I have fixed this problem, I should be able to use this application with Byteflow, because the application uses the MetaWeblog XML-RPC API. Any clue?

• An update question !

  Hi , Here's the problem I'm facing : trying to do my own application update I download the update apk from a web server on the sd card and then I launch the Package Installer with the downloading path ( while the old application is running) . So far after the package installer starts and the user agrees to install the application I get the following message " MyApp Could not be installed on this phone" and in the logcat then following message is printed : "No package identifier when getting value for resource number 0x00000000" . I could not find a reason for this behaviour , so please if there is something that I'm missing do point it to me !

• Rewinding std::cout to go back to the beginning of a line

  I'm writing a command-line tool for Mac OS X that processes a bunch of files. I would like to show the user the current file being processed, but do not want a bazillion files polluting the terminal window. Instead I would like to use a single line to output the file path, then reuse that line for the next file. Is there a character (or some other code) to output to std::cout to accomplish this? Also, if I wanted to re-target this tool for Windows, would the solution be the same for both platforms?
