• SQL not yielding expected results

  I have three tables related to this particular query: Lawson_Employees: LawsonID (pk), LastName, FirstName, AccCode (numeric) Lawson_DeptInfo: AccCode (pk), AccCode2 (don't ask, HR set up), DisplayName tblExpirationDates: EmpID (pk), ACLS (date), EP (date), CPR (date), CPR_Imported (date), PALS (date), Note The goal is to get the data I need to report on all those who have already expired in one or more certification, or are going to expire in the next 90 days. Some important notes: This is being run as part of a vbScript, so the 90-day date is being calculated when the script is run. I'm using 2010-08-31 as a placeholder since its the result at the time this question is being posted. All cards expire at the end of the month. (which is why the above date is for the end of August and not 90 days on the dot) A valid EP card supersedes ACLS certification, but only the latter is required of some employees. (wasn't going to worry about it until I got this question answered, but if I can get the help I'll take it) The CPR column contains the expiration date for the last class they took with us. (NULL if they didn't take any classes with us) The CPR_Imported column contains the expiration date for the last class they took somewhere else. (NULL if they didn't take it elsewhere, and bravo for following policy) The distinction between CPR classes is important for other reports. For purposes of this report, all we really care about is which one is the most current - or at least is currently current. If I have to, I'll ignore ACLS and PALS for the time being as it is non-compliance with CPR training that is the big issue at the moment. (not that the others won't be, but they weren't mentioned in the last meeting...) Am I missing something? This is the sucky part of being the only developer in the department... no one to ask for a little help.

I'm doing this via reflection and at runtime, so I think both are unavoidable. I'm targeting the C# 2.0 framework. I've dozens, if not hundreds, of classes similar to A and B, so would prefer to find a solution which improved on the createAndFillArray method rather than a solution which altered these classes.

  Hi, I have a couple of controllers on my site which are handling form data. The forms use AJAX and I have quite a few methods across different controllers which are having to do some specific processing to return errors in a JSON encoded format - see code below. Obviously this isn't DRY and I need to move this code into a single helper function which I can use globally, but I'm wondering where this should actually go! I've been trying to create a SWIG wrapper for this tiny little C++ class for the better part of 3 hours with no success, so I was hoping one of you out there could lend me a small hand. My steps were Create an example.i file Compile original alongside example_wrap.cxx (no linking) link resulting object files together Create a little java test file (see below) javac all .java files there and run Well steps 4 and 5 have created a host of problems for me, starting with the basic ( library 'example' not found due to not being in java's path ) to the weird ( library not found even unless LD_LIBRARY_PATH is set to something, even if it's nothing at all). • Is possible to generate constant value during compilation?

  I would like my classes to be identified each type by an unique hash code. But I don't want these hashed to be generated every time a method, eg. int GetHashCode(), is invoked during runtime. I'd like to use already generated constants and I was hoping there is a way to make the compiler do some come computing and set these constants. Can it be done using templates?   I am trying to use Linq2Sql to return all rows that contain values from a list of strings. The linq2sql class object has a string property that contains words separated by spaces. public class MyObject { public string MyProperty { get; set; } } Example MyProperty values are: MyObject1.MyProperty = "text1 text2 text3 text4" MyObject2.MyProperty = "text2" For example, using a string collection, I pass the below list var list = new List<>() { "text2", "text4" } This would return both items in my example above as they both contain "text2" value. • Excel VBA File not Found

  During development of some Excel vba code about every other iteration where I go in and add some code then save the file, the next time I open the thing (it is automatically set to run the code on open) I get a spurious "File not Found" error. To fix it I copy all the code- modules and classes plus the startup code, to a fresh blank excel file save it and it runs fine. This happens in both Excel 2003 and 2007. What is happening here?

• Global name not defined error in Django/Python trying to set foreignkey

  Summary: I define a method createPage within a file called PageTree.py that takes a Source model object and a string. The method tries to generate a Page model object. It tries to set the Page model object's foreignkey to refer to the Source model object which was passed in. This throws a NameError exception! I'm trying to represent a website which is structured like a tree. I define the Django models Page and Source, Page representing a node on the tree and Source representing the contents of the page. NameError: global name 'source' is not defined When I type in the function definition for createPage into the shell by hand, the call works without error. This is driving me bonkers and help is appreciated.

• Getting the full-name of the current user, returns an empty string (C#/C++)

  I try to get the full-name of the current log-in user (Fullname, not username). The following code C#, C++ works fine but on XP computers not connected to the Net, I get empty string as result if I run it ~20 minutes after login (It runs OK whithin the first ~20 minutes after login) A Win32 API (GetUserNameEx) is used rather that PrincipalContext since it PrincipalContext may takes up to 15 seconds when working offline.
