SVN Mac oSX issue - permissions?

Hello there, /Volumes/sites is a connection to a samba share that hosts some of our sites. We authorise using a username & password that is the same user/pass to log onto the mac. When committing, (or even doing a cleanup) from the Mac Client side using the svn command line tool or SCPlugin, this error occurs: Commit succeeded, but other errors follow: Error bumping revisions post-commit (details follow): In directory '/Volumes/sites/foobar/public_html' Error processing command 'committed' in '/Volumes/sites/foobar/public_html' Error replacing text-base of 'index.php' Can't move '/Volumes/sites/foobar/public_html/.svn/tmp/text-base/index.php.svn-base' to '/Volumes/sites/foobar/public_html/.svn/text-base/index.php.svn-base': Operation not permitted Any ideas? I think it's to do with permissions on the mac side not being able to move files around on the samba share. Apologies if my question is kinda vague so any extra information I can give please shout. Preferred Font for Reading Documentation?

I have been spending quite some time lately reading Java6 Documentation; although I use Monaco as my monospaced font of choice, I am still searching for the best font which will please my eyes while reading the documentation text. I use both Windows7 at work and Mac OS X at home for the aforementioned and currently using (Monaco+Andalus) on Windows and (Monaco+Geneva) on Mac OS X, but would love to try out better looking fonts (specifically for documentation text, since I am sold on Monaco already). I have included a screenshot of how the text looks on Windows.

How do you change the subdocument location in a Word 2007 master document programmatically?

We have had the unenviable happen: various master documents refer to sub-documents that are no longer where they used to be due to a directory renaming. Is there a programmatic way of tweaking the HYPERLINK field without losing the master/sub-document relationship? I've got this far ... Shorter Binding expression with validation

Hi, I'm repeating same binding parameters for every textbox and they're quite long strings (which is not good for many reasons). And I'm wondering if there's a way to make them shorter? For instance all my controls on forms are using the following binding template: Text="{Binding SourceProperty, UpdateSourceTrigger=PropertyChanged, ValidatesOnExceptions=True, ValidatesOnDataErrors=True, NotifyOnValidationError=True}" I'd would like to have something shorter that ideally will take SourceProperty as parameter. Possbly like this: Text="{MyBinding SourceProperty}" or Text="{Binding SourceProperty, Params=MyParams}" One possible option would be to inherit from Binding and create new markup extension. Did someone tried this? Any other ideas how to make these repetetive bindings look better?

customize Help Center Live HLC

Hi, I just installed Help Center Live which works fine, but I would like to make just one minor adjustment and after looking almost everywhere I couldn't find the file where the text was listen in. At the end of each chat the user can request a copy of the transcript. I tested it and it got into the spam folder of my email client. Why, I don't know, but the point here is I would lik to add some text. After a user finishes a chat session, he or she gets a page hcl/live/chat/end.php with the following text displayed somewhere: "To e-mail yourself a copy of the transcript, please enter your e-mail address below." After entering the address and pressing submit there is a confirmation message: "A copy of the transcript has been sent to your e-mail address." And I would like to add: "Please check your spam folder if you haven't received your transcript" How can this be done? Thanks.

JQuery "Any Row" Picker

Hi All, I'm looking for a generic "Row Picker" for JQuery. We've all seen the cool "Picker" tools like date pickers, color pickers, time pickers, etc, where you click in a text box and a little calendar or color palate or clock or something comes up. You select something (like a date) and the text box is then populated with a value. I really need an all-purpose "row picker" where you can populate something (a table, divs, etc) with some rows of data (say a list of timezones). This would be linked to a text field and would pop up when the user clicks in the field. They would click a row (say a timezone), and the timezone id would be passed back to the field. Anyone know of anything that does this? Thanks!

PHP - what is the proper way to do inline HTML variable output?

I just moved from an Ubuntu PHP workstation dev environment back to Windows and am using xampp. I have a bit of code, like so: <input type="text" name="txtEmail" value="<?=$emailaddress;?>"/> that I swear worked to display the variable in the textbox when I was developing before. But when I loaded the page on Windows/xampp it just put that text between the quotes in the textbox. Instead, I ended up changing it to something like: <input type="text" name="txtFirstName" value="<?php echo($firstname);?>" /> The latter makes sense, but I guess I thought there was a shorthand or something, and I must be going crazy because I'm sure the first way was working on a difference environment. So what's the best way to do this?

I have a folder full of folders and files. I want to sort files by size (so I could remove the largest files). I know how to do that in Windows Explorer, but I can not find a way to do it in Mac OS X Finder. Windows 2003: open folder in Windows Explorer click button Search leave Search for files or folders named and Containing text text fields empty click button Search Now sort by size Is there a way to do something like this in Finder on Mac OS X?

Wordpress TinyMCE keeps it clean, how?

I've noticed that the latest version of TinyMCE on Wordpress manages text in a very 'clean' way. Pasting from MS-Word it strips out all html text blocks, like <p>'s, and shows the text cleared of any odd formatting preserving only links, bolds and underlines. On top of that the source code format is very clear. No <br />'s everywhere. You only see \n's and the expected <strong><u><i> tags. I've been messing up with TinyMCE configuration files for some time with little success. I did manage to get all formatting removed. I can't, however, put TinyMCE to display the \n's as <br />'s lie Wordpress does it. Tried preformatted : true with no success whatsoever. Has anyone here been able to do it? URL Encoding of Characters in a password field

I am trying to pass login credentials to a PHP script that I have in my iPhone app. When I pull a password with special characters the password is missing certain characters especially the percent sign. I am trying to encode the text but even before I send it, the percent sign is missing. //password_field is a UITextField holding the password: !@#$%^&*() NSString *tmpPass = [password_field.text stringByAddingPercentEscapesUsingEncoding:NSUTF8StringEncoding]; NSLog(p_field.text); NSLog(tmpPass); This is what appears in the console: !@#$^&*() [email protected]&*() Is there any reason why it would be dropping the percent sign?

If I understand it right the new ACT ComboBox Control is Bound once to a given Datasource. But the count of the records I want to bind is very large. So I want to load the content of the ComboBox List via Ajax after the user typed in a few charachters. So at page load the combobox list should be empty and if something is typed in the list is loaded with the typed text as search text. Refresh page isnt working in asp.net using treeview

Hi, I am trying to refresh an asp.net page using this command: <meta http-equiv="Refresh" content="10"/> On that page I have 2 treeviews. The refresh works ok when I just open the page, but when I click on one of the treeviews and expand it, the refresh stopps working and the page isnt being refreshed. Any ideas why this can happen? Is there any connection to the treeview being expanded? Try this: 1. Create an app in VS Express Edition 2010 (.NET 4.0). 2. Put these lines in the code wherever u like - string text = Clipboard.GetText(); MessageBox.Show(text); 3. Copy some ANSI text (for simplicity) from notepad. 4. Run the app and see the result. I see "Clipboard.GetText()" (without quotes) instead of actual data! Can anyone confirm if this happens in Pro/Ultimate editions too?

How can I get Courier 10 Pitch font for Windows?

I created some SVG drawings using Inkscape on my Ubuntu. I now want to edit the SVGs using Inkscape running on Windows 7. The problem: the drawings has text formatted with Courier 10 Pitch font which is missing from my Windows system. Hence, the text is formatted using another font, which messes everything up. How can I get this font for Windows? Or perhaps I can make Inkscape embed the font in the SVG from Ubuntu?

grep - what arguments do you usually specify?

My most common grep line is just.. grep -IRl "text" * However I'm kinda getting tired of retyping this over and over - is there some way I can make an alias command so that those arguments are always enabled? And, I was wondering what arguments you usually specify for text searching - my two arguments 'R' for recursion, 'I' for not including binary types like jpg/gif, and 'l' for line number seem a bit too minimal. Which arguments do you use?

When to use a module, and when to use a class

I am currently working through the Gregory Brown Ruby Best Practices book. Early on, he is talking about refactoring some functionality from helper methods on a related class, to some methods on module, then had the module extend self. Hadn't seen that before, after a quick google, found out that extend self on a module lets methods defined on the module see each other, which makes sense. Now, my question is when would you do something like this module StyleParser extend self def process(text) ... end def style_tag?(text) ... end end and then refer to it in tests with @parser = Prawn::Document::Text::StyleParser as opposed to just using a class with some class methods on it? is it so that you can use it as a mixin? or are there other reasons I'm not seeing?
