  • jQuery, insertBefore, validation, Placement of error message

    - by Steve
I am using insertBefore under errorplacement to add validation messages, each one below each other as I want the order of the messages to go from top to bottom. I am using a hidden input at the very bottom of a parent element in order to supply an element for the insertBefore argument. Is there a way to insert from the bottom without using the dummy hidden element? If I use absolute positioning, there is a possibility for white space, for example 3 stacked messages, the middle one missing since there is no collapsing with absolute positioning.

  • JsLint 'out of scope' error

    - by Rajat
function test(){ if(true){ var a = 5; } alert(a); } test(); I keep getting 'out of scope' errors in my JS code when I check with JsLint which make no sense to me.So I quickly created an example. Is there something actually wrong with this code piece, as the variable is eventually hoisted to the top of the function anyways.

  • "One of the request inputs not valid" error when attempting to update Azure Table Storage

    - by sako73
I am attempting to update an entry in Azure Table Storage. The function is: public void SaveBug(DaBug bug) { bug.PartitionKey = "bugs"; bug.Timestamp = DateTime.UtcNow; if (bug.RowKey == null || bug.RowKey == string.Empty) { bug.RowKey = Guid.NewGuid().ToString(); _context.AddObject(c_TableName, bug); } else { _context.AttachTo(c_TableName, bug); _context.UpdateObject(bug); } _context.SaveChanges(); } If it is a new entry (the "bug.RowKey == null" path), then it works fine. If it is an update to an existing entity, then the "AttachTo", and the "UpdateObject" calls work, but when it gets to "SaveChanges", it throws the "One of the request inputs not valid" exception. The class that is being stored is: [DataContract] [DataServiceKey("RowKey")] public class DaBug { [DataMember] public bool IsOpen { get; set; } [DataMember] public string Title { get; set; } [DataMember] public string Description { get; set; } [DataMember] public string SubmittedBy { get; set; } [DataMember] public DateTime SubmittedDate { get; set; } [DataMember] public string RowKey { get; set; } public DateTime Timestamp { get; set; } public string PartitionKey { get; set; } } Does anyone know what the problem is? Thanks for any help.

  • App Engine Authentication Error

    - by Suzy
I have an app hosted by google app engine, and I am having trouble with authentication. When I login using my admin account and try to access the admin page or members pages, I just get a blank screen. I can login, and the members only menu shows when I login, but I just can't see any data from the members pages. I'm not really sure where I should start checking? My app is registered with my google apps account and I am using the only admin login that is there. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

  • Ruby String accent error: More than meet the eyes

    - by Fabiano PS
I'm having a real trouble to get accents right, and I believe this may happen to most Latin languages, in my case, portuguese I have a string that come as parameter and I must get the first letter and upcase it! That should be trivial in ruby, but here is the catch: s1 = 'alow'; s1.size #=> 4 s2 = 'álow'; s2.size #=> 5 s1[0,1] #=> "a" s2[0,1] #=> "\303" s1[0,1].upcase #=> 'A' s2[0,1].upcase #=> '\303' !!! s1[0,1].upcase + s1[1,100] #=> "Alow" OK s2[0,1].upcase + s2[1,100] #=> "álow" NOT OK I'd like to make it generic, Any help? [EDIT] I found that Rails Strings can be cast to Multibytes as seen in class ../active_support/core_ext/string/multibyte.rb, just using: s2.mb_chars[0,1].upcase.to_s #=> "Á" Still, @nsdk approach is easier to use =)

  • Installing Fabric On Windows (Error No Module Called Readline)

I'm trying to use the Fabric 0.1.1 deploy tool (http://docs.fabfile.org/) on Windows and we're running into an issue with the readline module. • 404 Error - HEAD request on default page

    - by Matt
I am working on a project where we are about to go to internal release. So we are working to clean up the small problems before then. I was looking at our logs and noticed a high number of 404 errors. On further inspection it seems that all of them are related to HEAD requests. I haven't been able to find any substantive information about the preferred method for handling this in a standards compliant manner. Is there anything out there that can point out the proper way to handle that.

  • Telerik MVC Combobox AutoComplete error

    - by Roachmans
I am using the Telerik autocomplete option In the header: <script type="text/javascript"> function onAutoCompleteDataBinding(e) { var autocomplete = $('#AutoComplete').data('tAutoComplete'); autocomplete.dataBind(["Product 1", "Product 2", "Product 3"]} </script> In the body of the View: <%=Html.Telerik().AutoComplete() .Name("AutoComplete") .ClientEvents(events => events.OnDataBinding("onAutoCompleteDataBinding")) %> http://demos.telerik.com/aspnet-mvc/combobox/clientsidebinding I have managed to get this working on other applications and it is really quite simple. I have pasted this example on top to show that this one also bombs out on : this.trigger = new $t.list.trigger(this); Think i might have mixed up the .js files and now my auto complete is not working. Any sugesions which js files and in what order they must be for this to work right My Page master relevant parts: <body> <% Html.Telerik().ScriptRegistrar() .DefaultGroup(group => group .Add("MicrosoftAjax.js") .Add("MicrosoftMvcAjax.js") ); %> <div class="MainTableBody"> <asp:ContentPlaceHolder ID="ContentPlaceHolder" runat="server" /> </div> <% Html.Telerik().ScriptRegistrar().Render(); %> </body> </html> In my web.config <add namespace="Telerik.Web.Mvc.UI" /> Any help or comments would be greatly appreciated

  • Error while dynamically loading mapi32.dll

    - by The_Fox
Our application uses Simple MAPI to send e-mails. One of our clients has problems sending e-mail from a session on his terminal server. The mapi32.dll is loaded with a call to LoadLibrary which succeeds, but then our application tries to get the addresses of the functions MAPILogon, MAPILogOff, MAPISendMail, MAPIFreeBuffer and MAPIResolveName. The problem is that GetProcAddress fails for those functions with an ERROR_ACCESS_DENIED (code: 5) except for MAPIFreeBuffer. It looks like some sort of security thing. How can I fix this or should I use another method to send mail? • Trapping Error Status in MSBuild

    - by Ruben Bartelink
As part of some build automation of running xUnit.net tests with MSBuild, I'm running into a case where I need to loop over a batch of items. Inside the loop, I need to detect whether an iteration failed, but I want to continue executing regardless. Then after the batched bit, I need to know whether one or more errors have occurred in order to report the outcome to TeamBuild. IOW, in pseudocode: Task Name=RunTests CreateItems ForEach item CallTarget Target=RunTest ContinueOnError=true CombineNUnitResults Report success/failure Task Name=RunTest XUnit item I'm hoping this can be achieved without a custom task (or hacking the xunit.net MSBuild task as Jonne did). (But willing to use MSBuild Community or Sdc tasks) And @BradWilson: I this is isnt possible to do cleanly, I'll be looking for Jonne's change a la the NUnit task to also make it into the xunit task See also: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/517560/how-do-i-get-team-build-to-show-test-results-and-coverage-for-xunit-net-test-suit

  • ASP.NET Web Service Throws 401 (unauthorized) Error

    - by user268611
Hi Experts, I have this .NET application to be run in an intranet environment. It is configured so that it requires Windows Authentication before you can access the website (Anonymous access is disabled). This website calls a web service (enable anonymous access) and the web service calls the DB. We do have a token-based authentication between the web application and the web service to secure the communication between them. The issue I'm facing is that when I deploy this to production, I'm having an intermittent issue whereby the communication between the web application and the web service failed. The 401 issue was thrown. This is actually working fine in our QA environment. Is this an issue with Active Directory? Or could it be an isssue with FQDN as mentioned here: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;896861? The weirdest thing is that this is happening intermittently when tested in both on the server itself and a remote workstation in my client's environment. But, this is working perfectly in my environment. OS: Windows Server SP1 IIS 6 .NET 3.5 Framework Any idea about the 401 (Unauthorized) issue?? Thx for the help... This is from the log... I've run this on a device and on the emulator. The app stops unexpectedly on both. I have not a clue what is wrong currently. It uses Google API Maps I compiled with Google Api 7. I followed this tutorial http://developer.android.com/guide/tutorials/views/hello-mapview.html (made some alterations clearly) I did use the correct API Key That the final apk is signed with This is the source(If you compile it shouldn't work as it is unsigned) This is the compiled signed apk Log 03-21 00:30:38.912: INFO/ActivityManager(54): Starting activity: Intent { act=android.intent.action.MAIN flg=0x10000000 cmp=com.chris.stryker.worldly/.com.poppoob.WorldlyMap } 03-21 00:30:39.173: INFO/ActivityManager(54): Start proc com.chris.stryker.worldly for activity com.chris.stryker.worldly/.com.poppoob.WorldlyMap: pid=287 uid=10031 gids={3003, 1015} 03-21 00:30:39.532: DEBUG/ddm-heap(287): Got feature list request 03-21 00:30:40.185: WARN/dalvikvm(287): Unable to resolve superclass of Lcom/chris/stryker/worldly/com/poppoob/WorldlyMap; (17) 03-21 00:30:40.193: WARN/dalvikvm(287): Link of class 'Lcom/chris/stryker/worldly/com/poppoob/WorldlyMap;' failed 03-21 00:30:40.205: DEBUG/AndroidRuntime(287): Shutting down VM 03-21 00:30:40.223: WARN/dalvikvm(287): threadid=3: thread exiting with uncaught exception (group=0x4001b188) 03-21 00:30:40.223: ERROR/AndroidRuntime(287): Uncaught handler: thread main exiting due to uncaught exception 03-21 00:30:40.252: ERROR/AndroidRuntime(287): java.lang.RuntimeException: Unable to instantiate activity ComponentInfo{com.chris.stryker.worldly/com.chris.stryker.worldly.com.poppoob.WorldlyMap}: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: com.chris.stryker.worldly.com.poppoob.WorldlyMap in loader dalvik.system.PathClassLoader@45a13938 03-21 00:30:40.252: ERROR/AndroidRuntime(287): at android.app.ActivityThread.performLaunchActivity(ActivityThread.java:2417) 03-21 00:30:40.252: ERROR/AndroidRuntime(287): at android.app.ActivityThread.handleLaunchActivity(ActivityThread.java:2512) 03-21 00:30:40.252: ERROR/AndroidRuntime(287): at android.app.ActivityThread.access$2200(ActivityThread.java:119) 03-21 00:30:40.252: ERROR/AndroidRuntime(287): at android.app.ActivityThread$H.handleMessage(ActivityThread.java:1863) 03-21 00:30:40.252: ERROR/AndroidRuntime(287): at android.os.Handler.dispatchMessage(Handler.java:99) 03-21 00:30:40.252: ERROR/AndroidRuntime(287): at android.os.Looper.loop(Looper.java:123) 03-21 00:30:40.252: ERROR/AndroidRuntime(287): at android.app.ActivityThread.main(ActivityThread.java:4363) 03-21 00:30:40.252: ERROR/AndroidRuntime(287): at java.lang.reflect.Method.invokeNative(Native Method) 03-21 00:30:40.252: ERROR/AndroidRuntime(287): at java.lang.reflect.Method.invoke(Method.java:521) 03-21 00:30:40.252: ERROR/AndroidRuntime(287): at com.android.internal.os.ZygoteInit$MethodAndArgsCaller.run(ZygoteInit.java:860) 03-21 00:30:40.252: ERROR/AndroidRuntime(287): at com.android.internal.os.ZygoteInit.main(ZygoteInit.java:618) 03-21 00:30:40.252: ERROR/AndroidRuntime(287): at dalvik.system.NativeStart.main(Native Method) 03-21 00:30:40.252: ERROR/AndroidRuntime(287): Caused by: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: com.chris.stryker.worldly.com.poppoob.WorldlyMap in loader dalvik.system.PathClassLoader@45a13938 03-21 00:30:40.252: ERROR/AndroidRuntime(287): at dalvik.system.PathClassLoader.findClass(PathClassLoader.java:243) 03-21 00:30:40.252: ERROR/AndroidRuntime(287): at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(ClassLoader.java:573) 03-21 00:30:40.252: ERROR/AndroidRuntime(287): at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(ClassLoader.java:532) 03-21 00:30:40.252: ERROR/AndroidRuntime(287): at android.app.Instrumentation.newActivity(Instrumentation.java:1021) 03-21 00:30:40.252: ERROR/AndroidRuntime(287): at android.app.ActivityThread.performLaunchActivity(ActivityThread.java:2409) 03-21 00:30:40.252: ERROR/AndroidRuntime(287): ... 11 more 03-21 00:30:40.300: INFO/Process(54): Sending signal. • Error when compiling code with the Protege API

    - by Anto
    I am new to Protege API and I have just created on Eclipse a small application which uses an external OWL file. Also I did import all the necessary libraries. import java.util.Collection; import java.util.Iterator; import edu.stanford.smi.protege.exception.OntologyLoadException; import edu.stanford.smi.protegex.owl.ProtegeOWL; import edu.stanford.smi.protegex.owl.model.*; public class Trial { public static void main(String[] args) throws OntologyLoadException{ String uri = "C:/Documents and Settings/Anto/Desktop/travel.owl"; OWLModel owlModel = ProtegeOWL.createJenaOWLModelFromURI(uri); Collection classes = owlModel.getUserDefinedOWLNamedClasses(); for(Iterator it = classes.iterator(); it.hasNext();){ OWLNamedClass cls = (OWLNamedClass) it.next(); Collection instances = cls.getInstances(false); System.out.println("Class " + cls.getBrowserText()+ " (" + instances.size()+")"); for(Iterator jt = instances.iterator(); jt.hasNext();){ OWLIndividual individual = (OWLIndividual) jt.next(); System.out.println(" - "+ individual.getBrowserText()); } } } } When I do compile however I get the following errors: WARNING: [Local Folder Repository] The specified file must be a directory.   • I have a error building a .vdproj on msbuild with nant

    - by Luís Custódio
I'm getting used to using nant for build releases. But I have started to use asp.net MVC, and i choice make the setup for installation with a .vdproj . But, when I call the: < exec program="${dotnet.dir}/msbuild.exe" commandline='"./Wum.sln" /v:q /nologo /p:Configuration=Release' / in nant, my result is: [exec] D:\My Documents\Visual Studio 2008\Projects\Wum\Wum.sln : warning MS B4078: The project file "Wum.Setup\Wum.Setup.vdproj" is not supported by MSBuild and cannot be built. Someone have some clue, or a solution? If I use the devenv, I'll have a problem? Thanks in advance.
