For example lets say I have a Model like this: class Vote(models.Model): VOTE_TYPE = ( (1, "Up"), (-1, "Down"), ) value = models.SmallIntegerField(max_length=1, choices=VOTE_TYPES) Now lets say in a view I have a variable new_value = 'Up' that I would like to use as the value field in a new Vote. • Can't find standalone Chrome Gmail client that I know exists

  I'm on Windows. A couple years ago when I switched from Outlook to Gmail (Google Apps), Google provided this awesome little standalone gmail client that was just a single-purpose Chrome install. It launched like a normal application, stayed updated when I updated Chrome. It was Chrome in a separate application that launched only gmail, stayed logged in really well, and "felt" like a gmail mail client, with the gmail interface. It had it's own little red envelope icon, it was a windows app. (I remember there was no Mac equivalent.) I found it while looking through the "this is how you get your company to switch to gmail" documentation that Google provided. I just repaved my box and now I'm looking for this thing again, and I had no idea it would be impossible to find. I've spent literally 2 hours looking, searching, googling, etc. I'm losing my mind. Anyone know how I can get my hands on this? I used it all day every day for 2 years, so I know it exists :), but I can not find it. Any assistance would be gratefully received.

  Hi I've got an unexpected problem. I'm making a script to update the schema on a SQL CE database. This won't run: if not exists ( Select column_name from information_schema.columns where column_name = 'TempTestField' and table_name = 'Inventory_Master_File' ) Alter table Inventory_Master_File add TempTestField nvarchar(10) null I think this is because I'm using stuff that isn't supported in SQL CE. Anyone know how to do this? I've tried rearranging the script and can't get anything to work. I tried "alter table ... where not exists ...". Note that the "select" part runs fine and also the "alter" part. The problem is "if not exists". I know there are some other postings regarding problems like this using SQL CE but I couldn't find an answer to this particular problem. Cheers Mark UPDATE: I've spent over an hour looking for a solution. I've found many postings asking for help with similar problems but I've still got no idea how to fix it. I really don't want to do this in C# code. I need to do this in a SQL script. I can't believe something this basic is causing so much difficulty :(

  Hi I'm trying to get the video data from this youtube playlist feed and add the interesting data to an array and use that later, but as you can see from the feed some videolinks are "dead" and that results in problems for my code. The error I get is "Node no longer exists" when I try to access $attrs['url']. I've tried for hours to find a way to check if the node exists before I access it but I have no luck. If anyone could help me to either parse the feed some other way with the same result or create a if-node-exists check that works I would be most happy. • 404 Error on a file that exists?

  Hello all, A script makes a GET request to my URL like so: http://mydomain.com/cgi-bin/uu_ini_status_audios.pl?tmp_sid=b742be1d131c4d32237a9f1fcdca659e&rnd_id=0.2363453360320319 However, I get a 404 returned straight away: The requested URL /cgi-bin/uu_ini_status_audios.pl was not found on this server. But that script exists on my server, I can see the file! It has the correct permissions (I gave it a 777 to be sure). It is also owned by my apache user and its in the group apache. What am I missing?? Thanks for any help on this! Update I thought it would have been a htaccess (rewrite) but I don't think it is anymore. I tried putting a index.php file in there and try to access it via my URL but I can't even do that! I tried this: http://mydoamin.com/cgi-bin/index.php - same 404 error! • SSH Public Key Authentication only works if active session exists before

  I have a rather strange problem with my SSH configuration. I set up my server with the help of a Remote Access Card and configured everything with a KVM viewer. So while being logged into the server via the KVM Viewer I configured SSH with only pubkey and tried to login from my local laptop. It worked fine. If I quit the KVM Session (or logout with the user in the KVM session) I cannot login via ssh anymore (pubkey denied). SSH login only works as long as the user is somewhere still logged in. Any hints what the problem might be? • Canon MX870 printer only shows "Processing" on the status LCD

  I had my Canon MX870 installed perfectly fine in 11.10, but since upgrading to 12.04, it no longer works. The printer is recognized in print settings and when I attempt to print a test page, the printer LCD displays a "Processing" message, but then it disappears and nothing happens. • ASP.Net error: “The type ‘foo’ exists in both ”temp1.dll“ and ”temp2.dll" (pt 2)

  I'm experiencing the same problem as in this question, but none of the answers fixed my problem. (edit: Setting the web.config batch attribute works, but that's a coverup, not a solution) The problem I'm having is with a User Control that I moved from the root directory to a subdirectory within the same Web Application project. It used to work fine before I moved it. When I moved it it started giving me the error message. It's saying that the class name exists in two dll files in Temporary ASP.NET Files. Sure enough, when I open Reflector, it's in two dlls. If I rename the class and ascx file, everything works fine. No usages of the original name exist within any of the files in my entire application. When I rename the file, I opened all of the dll files in Temporary ASP.NET Files with Reflector, and no references to the original class name exists. So where's this phantom reference coming from how can I fix this?

  Hello, I need to check if an user exists in AD and if so, retrieve some user information. I have been able to do this as shown below. But, it is very slow. Is there any way to do this faster? • C# Gridview - Checking if a column already exists when adding a new column fails

  I have a GridView with 10 columns. On a certain condition, I want to add a new column called "Expiration Date". The problem is that when the user presses "Search" again (Postback) the column is added again. I check before adding the column, to see if it already exists: BoundField dtExp = new BoundField {DataField = "DateTimeExpired", HeaderText = "Expiration Date", DataFormatString = "{0:d}"}; if (!grid.Columns.Contains(dtExp)){grid.Columns.Add(dtExp);} But the problem is that even if the column already exists, "Contains" returns false. What am I doing wrong? Thanks!

  Why doesn't this work in IBM Data Studio (Eclipse): IF EXISTS (SELECT 1 FROM SYSIBM.SYSVIEWS WHERE NAME = 'MYVIEW' AND CREATOR = 'MYSCHEMA') THEN DROP VIEW MYSCHEMA.MYVIEW; END IF; I have a feeling it has to do with statement terminators (;) but I can't find a syntax that works. Another similar question at http://stackoverflow.com/questions/355687/how-to-check-a-procedure-view-table-exists-or-not-before-dropping-it-in-db2-9-1 suggests that they had to create a proc but this isn't a solution for us.

I appear to be stumbling and getting caught in an infinite loop in this part. Perhaps there is a more correct syntax I am unaware of.

  I'm trying to set up a MySQL query that will insert a row into table2 if a row in table1 exist already, otherwise it will just insert the row into table1. I need to find a way to adapt the following query into inserting a row into table2 with the existing row's id. INSERT INTO table1 (host, path) VALUES ('youtube.com', '/watch') IF NOT EXISTS ( SELECT * FROM table1 WHERE host='youtube.com' AND path='/watch' LIMIT 1); Something kind of like this: INSERT ... IF NOT EXISTS(..) ELSE INSERT INTO table2 (table1_id) VALUES(row.id); Except I don't know the syntax for this.
